  1. Hey there :b My Laptop's (Samsung RV 520) specs first: Windows 7 64-bit Intel i5 2410m @ 2.30GHz (2.90 with turboboost) 6GB Ram Nvidia Geforce GT 520M Well, the problem is pretty easy to explain.. I already tried out every solution I've found so far to get better fps in DayZ, such as using RamDisk, messing around with the configs, trying out every possible graphic setting ingame and I still have the lag problems. I know that my laptop isn't the best, but I guess it should be capable of handling it, since Arma runs quite good as well. My FPS are always going up and down, up to around 35 and then dropping down to like 11. This happens even if I don't move, which is kinda strange; in cities it's slightly worse. I hope that maybe someone can help me, I'd appreciate any kind of help, except people telling me to buy a new computer.. ;p Thanks in advance!

    Another guy with fps-problems :(

It's a dual core :b Did you use any special tips to improve your fps or did it just run smooth straight from the start? I guess that's the thing I have to do, I'll have to wait for the standalone.. hopefully they'll improve the whole thing, I'd already be satisfied with like 35 frames if they don't drop down all the time :D But does anyone have any more tips that might help? I feel like I totally wasted money on Arma since I only bought it for DayZ :P

New do DayZ - Hardware/fps problems

thanks for the answers so far :) I tried out all the things but still it keeps lagging.. The mouse feels a lot better though, thanks a lot for that :D Somehow I keep thinking that it might also have to do with my internet connection, since the fps constantly go up to 30-35, drop down to 7-11 and go up again, even if I don't do anything oO in cities it's almost the same, I don't really see a major decrease of the fps there. I have a ping of around 50-60 in the game though, so I don't really know what the problem could be :P Due to canyourunit.com my laptop should meet the recommended requirements for Arma II and OA, which should include Dayz. I don't really know what I can do anymore, all I know is that my laptop should be able to handle the game, but unfortunately Dayz doesn't like me :( :D

New do DayZ - Hardware/fps problems

hey there :P I'm like having the same problems since I started playing DayZ. My hardware is a bit weaker than yours, exact specs: Windows 7 64-bit Intel i5 2410m @ 2.30GHz (2.90 with turboboost) 6GB Ram Nvidia Geforce GT 520M I think from what the people are saying my laptop should be able to play the game quite good, Arma II itself runs just fine without any lags.. Still on DayZ I get smooth frames, 30-35 (yep, thats smooth for me :D) and in the next moment it keeps lagging (down to 7 or something) It's just always changing from smooth to lag :P I'd appreciate any help, since I just can't figure out the problems; Arma II runs pretty good as I said.. Thanks in advance, guys ;p
