Arma will not credit an indirect kill. He did not "hit" someone with the grenade, the grenade exploded near them and killed people. Shooting people is the only way to get kill credit.

Had a normal session for a bout an hour, then the fps suddenly cut in half. Weather was not changing, somewhat overcast. I was far NW on map. Was on 1601 + 93160, server was LEM running beta also. AMd proc has no issues if game is running properly. Issue comes and goes with both brands. Try a freshly restarted server if you get low fps on joining.

Best way around the fps drop is to join a server that is freshly restarted. Have a nice dayz

launch arma2oa as oa, then check the arma2 is loaded in the expansions menu.

delete all the files you move previously. the a2free addons folder goes in a2oa root folder.

it is better to put the a2free addons folder in the a2ao root dir. use this to set up a shortcut to launch the mod : http://dayzmod.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=4722&pid=44931#pid44931 you may be stuck with the a2free stuff at main menu, but shouldn't effect in game menus.

with med settings at that res you will need more video card memory. at low settings you will need a very fast cpu. at high settings you will need a much faster vid card. putting the game on a velociraptor hdd or ssd will improve things all around. arma is brutal on specs.

run arma2 first, to the menu, then quit. run arma2oa, without combined ops, to the menu, quit. now you can add the mod line when you run, just use OA, not the CO option. at main menu, open expansions, make sure arma2 and pmc are checked. restart game if nesesary and try to hop in a server. The only way I can get my steam version to run properly is to: 1) copy the addons folder from "arma2" to "arma2 operation arrowhead" folder. 2) add a non-steam game to steam, that launches Arma2OA.exe. 3) edit properties of this shortcut, add -mod=CA;@DayZ (makesure toput a space infront of -) 4) give it a unique name and save it. This should run the game with a2 and dayz loaded properly, and the steam overlays work fine in game. There are several ways to run a mod in arma, so you may have to try a few.

Before engaging ppl, hit p an make sure no one on the list, including you, has desync or very high ping. This situation is absolutely desync of one of the clients.

When selecting a server from the list, make sure the player list appears in the lower box.
