Running along and someone teleports next to me, spawns a box with every weapon in the game. Thing is, he "gave" me a debug monitor...anyone able to explain what's going on?

Long story short: New pc build - same graphics card. This time round though, I can't see anything at night. Everything is black. Changed setting after setting but the darkness refuses to budge. You could fill it up at one of the wells instead of having to swim. Bugs = Alpha + arma engine.

Dayz needs a guide. Step 1. Go through the arma 2 tutorials - No seriously do this. Step 2. Go to the controls, familiarize yourself with them - Again do this One of the main problems with Dayz is it's an awesome game. The problem being you have too big a fan base that have no idea of how arma 2's control system works and instead of using the easy options available (controls, tutorials, internet) they resort to asking everyone for help who is already sick of all the other lazy people who asked. Bit of a rant, but you get the point.

Not been able to find any images but does anyone have any images that would show the difference in textures between using the demo and full version of arma 2? All help appreciated.

Now we've got that understood, I'm going for a different approach. (thanks btw I wub pugs) Can I get ingame screenshots of 2 people using arma 2 free on max settings (or near) with the other having the full version on max (or near). Thanks if someone can provide. Nevermind I found a better solution. A video of arma 2 at the same settings for the full and demo version: - If anyone else is interested.

I've been shot at by more survivors than bandits. X does not imply Y. I agree with OP, this game difficulty should be maintained. Rocket did say he would rather see the mod die than cater to the carebears anyway.

I can honestly see what you are thinking, this game would survive well on it's current state as just a PVP game. However the zombies do add a certain edge, it's a bit harder to gun someone down whilst the zombie legions are coming after you. Zombies add a bit of edge to the game, makes going through towns a lot harder when scavenging for loot. Without zombies I think this would die out quicker, since human interaction is less than zombie interaction.

Get it. If you want to save yourself some money you can use the arma 2 free with operation arrow head. As for this becoming a standalone game, this is the first time I've ever heard of this rumor and it appearing as a stand alone game is unlikely. Since this is been taken into arma 3 after all.

There is a huge flaw with your reasoning, what skin a player has is irrelevant of his play style. Simply put. X does not imply Y.

Seems like people are just copy/pasting from the newbie survivor guide right here. That's fine as credit is given but the problem with it is, it's a lot of information to read through, never mind remember. I'm going to start to edit the information so it's easier to get to the important stuff, others should do it to, instead of uploading walls of texts.

This happened to me twice earlier, lost a winchester and z50 (?) rifle to it.

Blood regen should be boosted when you eat/drink when hungry/thirsty. Outside of those windows I'm not sure.

I actually have a valid copy of Arma 2 but since my PC is not great I'm opting for the lower textures for an increase in performance. Getting the error message of: cabuildingparts, although I am selecting combined operations when launching the game (also seeing the @days logo on the top right)
