  1. I think a penalty system should be introduced to deter players from aborting anytime they are in danger. This is becoming a very popular method of survival for many players. Things like logging off when being chased by zombies, players, etc. Maybe some kind of system to where if the player is engaged in any form with a zed or another player, the abort function becomes inactive for X amount of minutes? I'm not a programmer so I'm really not sure what the best route would be. Just thought I would throw this out there. I think there's more than a few of us that are tired of chasing bandits that can just log out when things aren't in their favor during an encounter. Edit: After thinking about it, there's nothing stopping a player from killing the power to their PC or modem to achieve a disconnect; so there's that issue too. Forum Mods: If this has been discussed at an earlier date, I apologize. I searched but couldn't find a thread devoted strictly to the subject of finding a solution to this issue.
  2. I Google'd the last patch and found the notes here but I can't find anything about it. I'm not contesting, more or less clueless as to what they did and unable to find it. http://www.pcgamer.com/2012/05/23/dayz-patch-1-5-8-adds-sickness-temperature-might-cause-havoc/
  3. Maybe an in game function on the client side to allow the player to turn his/her name on or off? In group you could have it on for ID but if out running around solo have it off to avoid detection.
