  1. What's up man. Yeah you're going to need matches and firewood to cook raw meat. Try to run across a hatchet if you don't have one, that will allow ya to chop some firewood out of a tree in the forest. Or you can grab a stack of wood you find in a building, either works fine. If you go the hatchet route, be sure you're in thick woods or it may not work. Once you have matches and firewood, click on the matches and your player will prepare the fire. Now mouse over the fireplace and use your mouse wheel to scroll to, "Light Fire". I always try to light fires on as even ground as possible to avoid any glitches where the fireplace may disappear before being able to light it. Edit: Forgot to mention you'll need a hunting knife to gut an animal in order to obtain the meat. Good luck!
  2. http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Arma_2:_System_Requirements Edit: If you decide to go for it, keep in mind it's still in alpha. Even players with very very high end systems are having some performance issues.
  3. I've heard several rumors of servers with zero to very few zombies being referred to as "Transport servers", obviously due to no zombies. The condition of the servers are known by the server administration or so I'm told and it is intentional. Do server admins even have the power to do this or are they sitting on glitched servers refusing to restart due to easy mode travel? Anyone heard anything about this?
  4. Yeah, I think Bandicam is supposed to be better, like Kyriel said.
  5. Of course they do. If their server bugs out and zombies stop spawning (as often happens) they can simply not restart the server to rectify the situation' date=' hence resulting in a server with 0 zombies indefinitely until it crashes involuntarily. [/quote'] That's kind of what I was thinking, the glitch happens and then they refuse to restart. Asking them to restart their servers is not going to work since the owners are aware but aren't restarting. Edit: This is actually being advertised by the admins of these servers, hence the whole "Travel server" name.
  6. Never really paid any attention to this but there shouldn't be glowing vending machines if there isn't any electricity. [attachment=801]
  7. Just throwing out all that I can think of that could contribute to the current rise. I'm aware some of this will be updated in the next patch. 1) Lots of servers are glitching out with either zero or very little zombies. 2) Zombies in general are too easy to kill and are more of an annoyance than a threat. 3) Players using exploits to increase survival odds. Whether it be disconnecting to avoid death, or server hopping to attain the best gear. 4) Zombies not spawning in buildings the way they used to. When zombies are spawned or brought into buildings they move way too slowly. 5) While I'm sure it happens, dying from infection is something many never live long enough in general to see. I've had several multi day characters and have never had an infection. 6) Loot is too easy to come by, even without server hopping. 7) I'm sure more people have formed static groups they stick with by now compared to earlier on when most were solo. 8) Making a fire became even easier than it was before, which allows solo or group players access to cooked meat faster. 9) Hacks seem to be on the rise.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bQSf3-cYWUo 10) As others have said, people are getting used to the game which is going to increase survival as well. Online resources such as maps, survival guides, and videos have also began to rise significantly. 11) Glitches and bugs such as falling off of ladders aren't occurring anymore. Just some ideas on several factors that are contributing. Keep up the good work, Rocket!
  8. What's up guys, We have three players that are trying to find a good server to stick with, and were wondering if anyone had any suggestions. Server options really don't matter to us at this point, hardcore or normal is fine. It seems like just about every server we go to lately has some sort of serious issue, no zombies, no loot, or serious sync issues etc etc. Thanks for any advice you may have. :) Players: Corpserey Inglorious Bastid Lannister
  9. Thanks, everyone. :) Just found out zeroing goes to 1200m on the M107. Going to try a 2000m shot, I'll keep you posted.. lol

    Bleeding

I can confirm this happening to a friend twice, both times were right after he received a blood transfusion. He said letting a zombie hit him made it stop; you have let the zombie make you bleed then apply another bandage.
  11. Nice job, I love the tractor. xD
  12. This wasn't long after the Church Bus Incident
  13. Yeah, he was smart. I later figured out the shots I was firing at him were going into the pew beside me. The A2 weapons fire from the chamber, not the muzzle, so while you can stick the muzzle into/through thin walls in theory, you can't shoot through them, due to the chamber still being on the 'correct' side of the wall. I think the chamber was a little too close to the pew, even though the muzzle end was way in the clear. We had a great time though, good stuff.
  14. Rofl Agreed, I need to stop pronouncing it like that. xD
  15. Yeah man, my heart was racing. Thanks for the compliment, glad you liked it.
  16. I don't see how what he did can be possible at all.
  17. Here's the link Tekdrake, The clip was taken out of a live stream when I ran out of ammo, and yes it's the hill trick. A timer has been placed in the description if you want to click that to go straight to the setup.
