You can say that the argument of staying out of a city is stupid all you want but it doesn't change the fact that it is stupid going into a city if you don't want to die. If you still consider this to be stupid then please go walk into a city on a busy server. Tell me how it goes.
...and let me guess, you and your buddy went to Cherno to do some charity work? You would of killed them if given a chance. The loot from the bodies will be picked up by other wandering survivors so their stuff hasn't went to waste. What you should learn from this is that you stay away from large cities or high traffic areas if you don't want to die and lose your gear.
That is an excellent suggestion I think. I haven't been killed by a server hopper yet but every time someone DCs on me I am paranoid they will just log back in at a good vantage point. Only a matter of time till it happens I guess. Would also be nice if people who log off in high traffic areas are moved to the coast or into the nearest forest when they spawn. Hate it when I think I am alone in a building and someone just happens to spawn behind me the second my back is turned.
Got banned from the same server earlier this week for no reason. I spawned in and after a couple minutes, I don't think I even moved from where I spawned because I was telling a friend which server I joined, I was back at the server select screen with a BattlEye message telling me that I've been banned. That friend joined the server a few seconds after I got banned and within a minute he was banned also.
Oh that's right! Forgot that it just gets dropped on the ground. First couple of times I thought the ammo disappeared but the last time I did it I found the ammo on the ground.
Not just 10 slots for the gun but also slots for the ammo since ammo will follow the gun. If you have only 10 slots open in your backpack and move your Enfield over any Enfield ammo will disappear since there isn't space for it. Or at least it used to be that way. Happened to me a few times in the past and have avoided doing it again. Maybe that has been fixed? I don't know.
For the hospital I just throw empty cans at it. Only takes like 2-3 empty cans to break the glass. Haven't broken into a hospital in a while though so maybe things have changed since then.
If you really want a DayZ shirt you could always just make one. There are plenty of sites online that let you make custom shirts. The DayZ logo at the top of the forums would be perfect to put on a shirt because it has already been cropped, I guess that would be the correct term.
Thanks for the guide. I haven't tried this out yet but I will soon. However I am a little curious to what the procedure would be when a new beta comes out. If we go through all this to get the current beta and steam working together but then a couple days later a new beta is available, or even hours since the beta patches seem to be updated very frequently, do we just install the newest beta over the last one and don't mess with any of the parameters that were added or changed? Now what about when these beta patches get rolled into an official patch? Will we have to remove the beta patch we installed and change the parameters back to what they were? Or will installing the official patch automatically remove the beta patch and correct the parameters that were changed? EDIT: Crap. Sorry. Missed those big red letters that said we have to do step 1 over again when we install a new beta patch. However I am now curious to what kcuestag posted. Do we have to do anything with dll files?
