I do agree an admin tool would be highly usefull (also for the less skilled admins, no disrespect), but Imo I've seen our server being emptied out by hackers on multiple occassions since we've had it and every single time people will re-connect, maybe not the same evening, but they will return as long as us admins can give them the feeling the server is being adminned properly and being looked after. Thankfully most players know there's ****loads of hackers in this game and most do appriciate the effort admins put in to keep them safe.

Every help we can get is appriciated, we're already running some extra scripts (anti hacked in weapons and stuff), but can't hurt to take a deeper look into anti-hack scripts. Cheers!

lol the convo you posted doesnt show anything wrong with his attitude.. it shows there's something wrong with yours. He asked you polite to be patient which you ignored and demanded a sollution. Hackers mess this game up bigtime and sometimes innocent people get banned (apparently like yourself). Appealing is your only way forward, being a dick and demanding things isnt a good way forward. Like Fraggle said if you think the verification of the flawed takes too long, find another server..

I still like it alot :) :) Plus the ability to ban hackers in our own server does contribute alot in a healthier place to play this excellent mod :D :D

Our server has the same 'issue'. Havent had the time yet to do some reading on this but I know its possible to enable sidechat and showing whose talking. Ive seen this work on other servers before. Quite annoying when people are voicespamming :-(

The guide I mentioned in an earlier post is finished. My mate did a splendid job writing it if I may say so. It's being looked at by the forum mods atm and hopefully it can be released to the rest of the community soon enough. Its written based on the server we're currently renting (UK498) so probably needs a bit of finetuning to make it suitable for other servers as well. I'll keep updating this topic ;-)

Apparently (looking at your signature) you've had/have your own server, so you should know how things are normally dealt with.. Plus it's not even a manual admin ban... it was an automated 1 which might even take more time to look into... Just saying...

Our server uses the cbl as well... and tbh we'd rather have ban appeals from people who are banned through this list who shouldnt have been banned then to have to deal with all the cheaters who are banned through this list and who DID cheat. Sounds harsh maybe, but that's the way the cookie crumbles...

Im not affiliated with this server nor do I know it, but I do know that us admins are struggling to keep our servers hack free. So most of us use all means possible to automate the banning of hackers. Sometimes unfortunately legit players get banned cause of these automated anti-hack scripts/software. The admin of this server asks for some time to figure out what went wrong. Trust me figuring this stuff out does cost alot of time. You're kind of demanding things but you're not really in the position to demand things. You'll just have to wait untill they figured out what (or if something) went wrong. Patience is key! (and being polite works alot better too :P)

1 of my mates and server owner (of UK498) is in the process of writing a tutorial document on where to look in the logs for hackers (and what exact files). I havent seen his work yet, but knowing his background in IT it will be a very usefull document. He's writing it mainly for our own (future) server admins (including myself). When it's finished me and him will have a chat and will most likely try to contact 1 of the DayZ mods/devs to see if this document is usefull for a wider group of server admins. I'll keep eyes on this topic and update news when there is any...

Its mainly depending on what gear the other player has since most geared up players will shoot on sight I normally will try and make contact before I shoot. Being friendly has got me killed on several occassions (dudes with hatchets hacking me in the back while Im trying to cover them, etc.). But I'm still a firm believer of friendly play.. unfortunately not every1 feels the same way and do kill me cause I normally have a decent (visible) weapon and a camo/ghillie suit. When I spawn fresh Im always friendly since you dont have anything to lose anyway... I like to run around in Elektro/Cherno screaming Geronimooooooooooooo down the mic :D Even when I dont have a weapon people still get scared for some reason :)

Like I said, according to what you typed you had in your inventory I would say it's legit. Try to get in touch with an admin from that server through their own website/forum (if they have 1).

You probably more likely got banned cause you were in a vehicle that got teleported by a hacker.. It might help if you post the message you get when you try to connect to the server. But its probably an automated ban from dayz antihax or Gotcha antihax..

The guns/items you describe are officially in DayZ so you shouldnt get banned for having those on you... An admin teleporting cars/people around sounds a bit worrying tbh :D As far as I know admins cant teleport stuff/people around unless they might have some kind of server side tool or client tool (hax). Not sure if this is a public server or a private hive..

Looks like an automated server ban. I've seen a couple of these on our own server, unfortunately a server admin is the only that can help you with this. Apparently DayZ Antihax is doing a bit too much sometimes... Try to contact an admin from that specific server through their own website/forum (if they have 1).

Hehehe the issues you have are a bit vague to say the least. You're Windows install might have problems.. You have to 1 by 1 eliminate all options (drivers/directx) and dig from there.. Some problems are quite hard to fix if you don't know exactly what you're looking for. I suggest starting with all drivers first and go from there...

Welch' intentions are spot on, but imho some1 who got banned from a specific server should put some own effort in trying to get in touch with the server owners/admins. Posting on these forums is 1 way, but trying to find the website/forum of the corresponding server he/she got banned from is just that little bit more effort that does show some1 would really want to get back onto that server. I (and probably alot more server admins) monitor the ban appeals on daily bases (mainly cause most of the appeals and the replies make me lmfao) so if any ban is being appealed we're very likely to see it ourselves and deal with it. You got my beans for being a very friendly fellow community member though Welch :)
