Playing alone and finding out stuff yourself is better then joining a group. Trust me, I never really got the newbie experience because I joined a huge group and I watched a ton of tutorials.

In that case... gobk2kodplzkthx Arma 2 is a serious military simulator game (It was funded by the government!) Not some derp-herp shoot-em-up explosiony FPS game which is for explosione fun ragequitting kids. If you don't like serious military simulators, then why did you buy Arma 2 and arma 2: OA? A waste of your money if you ask me.

Just get DaiZy, it lets you play singleplayer with AI bandits/survivors (optional) and stuff like that. It also has night time version and day time version.

BECAUSE ROLEPLAY DOESN'T ALREADY REQUIRE YOU TO BE 1000 PERCENT PATIENT AND SERIOUS. I'VE BEEN ROLEPLAYING FOR 2 AND A HALF YEARS (not always on dayz) AND ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT THINGS IS TO BE PATIENT. HOW DO YOU NOT BE PATIENT IN ROLEPLAY? HOW?! HOW WOULD YOU NEED TO BE -MORE- PATIENT IN ORDER TO PLAY ON NORMAL SERVERS?

Why not continously kill your character, so that the person who has your CD key will be ultimately raging and go like "OMG mAD >:C" and stop playing Dayz? That way you can keep your CD key and not have some imbecile use it while you're offline.
