p. much this I don't understand the argument put forward that people don't want to "listen" to it, you're not listening to it - you're reading it.. and seriously if you're that ADHD that you can't keep your eyes of the chat go see a doctor. It doesn't affect your game anyway with it enabled but affects the many who like it when it's disabled. Global should've never been removed, rather, a clientside option to turn it off for the ADHD/anti-social crowd implemented. Everyone wins. I'll accept that using mic over global is annoying. If global ever does come Rocket should fix that.

Weird sociopathic kids with a strong lack of any base emotions that think it's absolutely hilarious mass kill a whole server and waste about 10 hours of 50 peoples time. I honestly don't mind the hackers when they're doing funny shit like running around as animals or whatever, but when you get these semi-retarded-just-enough-IQ-points-to-use-a-PC kids with their moms credit card going from server-to-server mass killing, it just infuriates me. I'm playing on a passworded private hive server until the hacker epidemic is over, which will probably be never due to the openness of ArmA. Maybe standalone Dayz will have better anti-cheat.

In before "QQ adapt or die faggit" by the Rocket Dick Sucking Force. The weapon nerf doesn't make sense, case in point being that the .303 british now deals 6722 damage but the 7.62x51 deals 8000 damage even though they are pretty much the same in size and energy? 5.56x45 SD doing the same damage as normal 5.45x39? Bullshit. Am I playing a simulator or babbys first battlefield? If people want 'balanced' weapons then go play BF3 because clearly you don't see the point of a military simulator. The only people defending these changes are ones with high tier gear going around Cherno shooting at noobies because now the only counters to that playstyle (.45 and clever positioning or the Enfield) have been nerfed to uselessness.

If Carranco was able to go and loot the 3 bodies of the people he shot, go sit in a corner, then log off, without hearing anymore shots, IMO, the admin's clan took too long to counter attack and the disconnect was justified. 2 cents

Sounds like a case of butt-hurt admin. They know they're in the wrong because they aren't even trying to defend their actions. Also, banning people trying to contact them on their TS and forums? Obviously admin abusing. need some blacklist up in this bitch.

Gamma and Brightness settings really need to be limited to '1'. inb4 "i need a high gamma because my colours are faded baww" buy a new monitor then.

Has anyone given FaceTrackNoIR a go? It's like this but it uses a normal webcam to track your head as opposed to the IR webcam/LED set up. It's probably not as responsive as using an LED set up but I'd rather not wear a hat indoors in the middle of the summer - also it looks weird.. vid of it in action. shame my webcam shitted out on me otherwise I'd try it for myself.

It takes 2 chest shots to kill a zombie with M4/Ak-74 (so l2shoot) and the AKM's pathetically slow bullet, crappy open sights and recoil make it useless for anything moving past 200+ meters, but, it fires a big bullet so it should knock Z's down in a single hit. The Enfield is a one shot kill to the torso/chest because 1. It fires a huge bullet that would knock you down in a single hit, regardless of where I hit you. 2. People would just use the CZ-550 which is a 2 (sometimes 3) hit killer at longer ranges, unless you score a headshot. It's a trade-off Enfield is a relible 1-shot killer but the CZ lets you engage from safer distances. Basically, the weapon damage values are fine. Remember kiddos ArmA is a simulation NOT a game. There is no such thing as 'balance'.

Airfields and Military Encampments will almost always have STANAG mags around but you also have a fairly strong chance of getting shot since they're bandit magnets.

Did you put the GAU in your inventory? Since they can only be spawned by hackers your account probably got auto-flagged and reset.

Exact same thing happened to me. Dev's keep telling us to 'update files' even though all my files are up to date and I've checked and double checked every file. There is definitely something wrong with survivor-to-bandit transitioning.

Don't turn into a bandit - you'll be teleported to the debug zone with none of your gear. True story, folks.

I got teleported in the ocean next to the 'debug zone' when I turned into bandit, shit sucks. You lose all your gear when you go in water too... I'd be pissed losing my 10+ hour character to another player, but I'd keep playing, but to lose it a bug that was supposed to be fixed is just frustrating. I guess this is what people get for taking an alpha so seriously. I'll probably start playing again when these kind of character destroying bugs are fixed.

I was also warped to the Debug area earlier. I shot a guy and then I saw the "Requesting Character Data From Server" Screen, after that, it just spawned me in the ocean next to the debug island. I think the Survivor-to-Bandit transition is still buggy - as the same thing happened to this guy as he turned into a bandit: http://dayzmod.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=278. I should also mention that ALL my files are up to date and was when this happened.

Hey, as thread title suggests, I was teleported into the ocean after killing some guy who got a little too close for comfort. First shot hit him and he went down - I followed it up with a second shot to his body to make sure he wasn't just incapacitated, after that second shot my screen went dark and said "Requesting Character Data From Server" then it suddenly plopped me in the ocean as a Bandit. Was just wondering if this has happened to anyone else? Or if a Dev could enlighten me on the problem.
