I do kinda like the idea that the mag is the hardest to find, only because it adds the most functionality to the gun. It should for me be the holy grail for a chernarus survivor. Also I love those arkward gunfights where no one has a mag and are running round taking one shot then hiding again lol On thing I woud say to justify the current rarity is, if the last few soldiers ranf from an overrun mill base they probs wouldn't grab evey gun. Just take a personal weapon and mags/ammo. So that leaves lots of useless weapons....a lil ammo they missed....and hardly any mags. Iv started taking ever mag I find even when I don't have that gun, then I may even swap from a rifle down to the sporter just because I have a mag for it, and that makes me 10x more combat effective :)

I like the idea, there would have to be a decay time on the corpse with stages or something. Then you could tell how long it was since someone ate him/shot him. Seeing if the body is warm could indicate less than 5 mins, then a cold body 5-10mins, then with flies >10mins :)

Great News!

We need to be able to loot other peoples backpacks while they wear them again, then the friendlys can teach em a lesson by emptying there packs :)

Weapon resting has been suggested a few times. I like the idea, was a nice feature in ACE. I think it would be cool if when there is no object to rest on you can sit, then on scroll menu select "rest weapon" or something and he brings his knee up to rest it on :)

Btw sorry if I derailed this one a little.... Russian cars...back on topic... Why not this bad boy....just one on the map...useless offroad (should get stuck strait away if it leaves tarmac) Lore being its a high flyer from the city who was visiting his parents when the infection broke out. Little more down to earth, I think this one looks quite cool, reminds me of old American cars the way its styled :)

Learn something new ever day :D Have some beans....even if they don't use this I will next survival weekend lol, because iv never seen anyone use that method before (wire wool fire lighters) :D

Oh I believe you, I just suggested 25m as a base range because 50 sounded large when that's an mp5's audiable range in the mod. I dunno why its attracting them at 1000m must be a bug, never implied that's how it should be ;)

Test out your throwing arm with flashbangs.....basically training grenades :) I would love for an editor eventually. Just with a simple set of tools like player spawn point and placeable zombie spawn points. If it had placeable loot it would serve the training purpose. We could customise the numbers at each spawn we place, respawn time, weather they wander or weather we place a waypoint for them to instantly rush too. I can just imagine some of the epic survival scenarios people would come up with. It could be heavily restricted, like only up to 10 players on each custom scenario and none of it saves, just like a 1 time run at that mission :)

Think its been suggested before but I totally agree. If you sneak up behind someone the option should be there to grab them and use them as a shield, or just have them helpless with 1 arm round neck and a pistol/knife to the head/throat. Although I think they should be able to try and wriggle free like when handcuffed. Then they still have a chance....sorta :)

The ccosd and m9sd in the mod were completely silent to zeds....would like it to at least attract them at close range but 50m seems a lot. That was the audio footprint of an mp5 in the mod, so maybe 25m, then your pretty safe its more if a zombie is around the corner or something an you haven't seen him :)

Iv pulled some epic hordes in the mod...that if they didn't walk indoors woulda been....challenging... lets say lol to deal with. But its like that in any game, once your used to it the threat drops loads. I love l4d2 and when I first started I was hiding from hordes in rooms and waiting till they were all dead on advanced. Now we rush expert like its a joke, as long as to new players the zeds are a challenge and can instill some fear that each time ya enter a town you could die...regardless of players or not, then its about right. Being a vet you should be able to deal with thembetter but they should be able to catch ya out every now and then if you get complacent. At least then its the vets PvPing and the newbies learning the ropes and surviving zeds. As it stands now there is no "surviving the zeds" so the gearing up process isn't important, hence rampant PvP everywhere. Well that's what I think anyways, guess wel both have to wait and see :)

All the roads....with tyre tracks....and bus stops.....and fuel stations....and car wrecks.... But yeah... donkeys huh... Keep going man this is priceless :P

Very nice idea. I always thought of them as having a zip on the back to put stuff in....sure I had something like that as a kid. So maybe for that spoon/pin release make it require a bit of string (or some of that metal wire) so when they undo the zip on the back to see what tasty loots they got..... the string pulls out the pin ;)

Tis instantly made me think of the M2 shove from L4d....man id love something like that, that we could push players on there ass with aswell lol :)

Then why say... You only have to talk to yourself.....you don't have to be nice....you can sit there and call yourself a twat for 5 mins if you want ;) I actually like this idea, but not so much the talking to yourself part. That part seems like it would just feed any pshycological problem that's going on. Animals however...animals can be very therapeutic, provide companionship and are great listeners. So for people that don't speak to players they could find an animal and get close then speak...that could sort the status out. Obviously companion animals would be better for this but maybe wild ones aswell. If there was a zone around the animal a little greater than the "scare them off" zone. Just sitting in that and taking could do the trick :)

I like this one, always felt wrong that there was no drawback to being "stuffed" as IRL I associate that feeling with not wanting to move and feeling tired. For jogging id still say yes but less chance to throw up, then no chance if you walk :)

All for this one. Its no problem to hang a chemlight somewhere on a pack or your belt. The lantern may be a bit more tricky because it could break easily from "bouncing" around as you run. Maybe the old suggestion of splitting the hands would help, so we could have our pistol drawn and a chem/lantern in the other :)

This is getting ridiculous....you obviously have no idea what the word "impoverished" means. Do some traveling to some real impoverished countries, then take another look at Chernarus. Seriously you need your eyes opening to how far along that place is compared with a lot of other places in the world. Iv been to Malaysia and Africa with the same relief group and seen things that make Chernarus look like a futuristic utopia. Lets assume the zed appoc never happened. See all those office buildings/factories/construction sites. Think the manager of an office is gonna come into work in some old Russian made POS....or pick himself up a cheap old BMW or Merc? Remember an old BMW will only set me back about 2-500quid here in the UK. Im not taking a brand new x5 fresh off the line here, but appropriate other model cars that would certainly be popular choices in that part of the world :)
-
Why so many Russian cars.....they do import stuff :P Why not some older BMW 3/5 series...older Mercs, ford transit vans, Volvos, Nissans..... A quick google image search for "Russia Traffic" will show you they have many many types of car there. Not against having some Russian made cars included but for a realistic representation there should a lot of other makes and models :)

Do you mean what type of headset or what sound option for a headset? If its just a normal headset use stereo 2.0 (as you only have 2 speakers) There are headsets that simulate 5.1 or 7.1 so I guess you would only use those options if yours is one of those headsets :)

I absolutely think PvP will become less frequent as the game progresses. Not to say it will become the less popular playstyle....but when you cant fire a shot in a town/city for being swamped by zombies then its gonna make people think weather its worth it just to kill a bambie :)
-
Well I never knew that...it must do it so slowly its almost unnoticeable. I like the feature though, nice representation of fatigue. Hopefully that will come to SA in a new and improved form. The way I used to look at mouse accel in A2 was that if I tried to pull a stupidly quick turn (and ended up with barrel pointing to the sky) then it was simulating falling on my ass, or pulling a muscle from turning way to fast. I couldn't agree more that what we have now looks unnatural :)

Sure iv seen this same thread 2 or 3 times over the last couple of days. Have you checked the other threads for a solution? http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/217416-jittery-scope/ http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/217405-shaking-like-crazy-cant-stop/

Well people all wanted 1:1 mouse input .....be carefull what you wish for! Removing mouse accel to appease the masses was one of the biggest design mistakes in SA IMO :( One thing though....people keep saying you couldn't sprint forever in arma 2.....as far as I remember you could. I used to double tap W to sprint....steam overlay for autorun....he never slowed down though. Well he did for hills ect but sprint always reinstated when on the flat. That was one of the reasons I was looking forward to SA....for all the crap it had, epochs weight system was pretty good. Sure you can carry all that crap if you want....but you will start passing out if you do. I wanted something like that in SA, to actually make sprinting become a decision with pros and cons :)
