Actually It wasnt my intent to spam. I posted in the general forum and the server forum. Figuring that they where the logical places to post. I did make two identical posts in two different places on a large forum, that might appeal to two different groups of people. I wouldnt exactly call that spamming..... but ok....... My posts disappeared, which isntt uncommon for me as this forum is often laggy. I saw the the Clans/group forum and figured I would try again, since my other posts didnt work (or so I thought). It appears in hindsight that the forum admin didnt like my forum location choice and was actually deleting and/or moving my posts. Anyway it is what it is.

I would like to give credit where credit is due. Apparently the Dayz.st server host was "hacked". From what I gather the "hacker" managed to do an OS reinstall on all or most of their machines. INCLUDING the dayz.st website. We where down about 10 hours or so. We came back up and the database was restored like nothing happened. Had it been ANYBODY else Im sure the downtime would have been at least ten times as long. And Im also sure that it would have been all F'ed up. Dayz.st managed to recover from the worst case scenario in a very short amount of time. So my hat goes off to you. Here's the story. My bro and I will be renting a server for the long haul. Eventually it will be a pass worded private hive However to get it rolling we are thinking about doing "thanksgiving thrash" to get it all rolling. The basic premise... Spawn with good weapons, have lots of cars that are easily accessible and go on a rampage! It will be a small map or Chernarus with people heavily encouraged to fight in a main city. Hopefully DAYZ PVP at its finest. UPDATE!!!! Server will be open at 7:30 pm PST tonight! SERVER name - dayz.wickedgamer.com 24/7 daylight 100+ vehicles Server IP - 50.115.124.92 port : 2342 We hope that many people will join and it will be a blast. There are a TON of vehicles on the server. They have been placed heavily near the spawn points and in and around chenarus. You spawn with...... MP5 with 3 clips A revolver A blood bag A morphine injector Food Drink Map And some other random items. We are hoping for some crazy PVP action In chen, At 3pm PST this Saturday thanksgiving thrash will come to an end. The server at that point will become more of a vanilla server and spawn and starting loot put back to normal. The server DB may or may not be wiped at this time. SO BE WARNED YOUR LOOT MAY BE LOST. The focus of this is event it to cause havoc not squirrel away gear. Also at this time the person with the most PVP kills will be declared the winner. When the server is returned to normal opperation the winner will receive.............. The Black SUV 1 weapon of their choice (must be DAY permitted) 1 Side arm of their choice 1 tent 1 GPS 1 Compass 1 NV googles Please note that the prizes are a one time thing. You lose them they are gone. The winner has 2 days from the time the winner is announced. After the two days the runner up will be awarded the prizes. Thats it! lets play.

Unfortunately the server came online later than expect. I also thought that people would love something different and flock to it, guess I was wrong. But then again it was Thanksgiving day.... so who knows. Regardless please come back and tell your friends!

How about this........... Database wipe after the event..... However the person with the LOWEST humanity get the BLACK SUV with some weapons when it returns to normal.

Not trying to defend Survival servers on this but............. Running a server that is a Alpha Mod of a game, Running a third party hive, with tools and anti-cheats which are also 3rd party..... Sounds like a HUGE mess and and somebody got way in over their heads........... What I would be pissed about is the lack of decent meaningful communication and what seems to be absurd response times.
