[Temp fix] Stuck at loading screen with white bar
dstiles replied to Aisha808's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
wow, what a joke getting this game to work is. I bought the bundled operations pack from steam and spent hours downloading/installing everything updating this, waiting on that. only to get neverending loading screens. search a fix (which is already way too much work as it is) fix doesn't work back to consoles where games actually play, instantly not wasting anymore time on this STEAMing pile (nor am I going to suggest anybody try it) -
That's a very cool idea. Lay off the minecraft though. lol jk

Another one not life-threatening (at least right away) would be flare traps. Useful at night especially. Unsuspecting passerbys accidentally trip "flare traps" which shoot flares up into the air bringing attention to their location. This could be used to protect areas.

Perma-identity. Nickname is permanent. Nickname as face. Cover face - conceal nickname.

I'm all for realism and to make it REAL, players should be held accountable for their actions. Having perma-identity will aid this notion. I like it. -
I will add to this as they come to me. Here is one: a trap that once set off, tightens a rope around the ankle(s) of an unsuspecting survivor/zombie and pulls them up in the air left to dangle from a tree. They can only get down if they have a blade of some sort or decent aim with their gun to shoot the rope. (risking alerting enemies) If they can't free themselves by their own right, or with help from a friend or a passing survivor, they are left to hang until starvation or death by other(s)!! :D

Well I have been gaming since the dawn of time. (no really, I'm a time traveler) In fact I have played games that don't even exist yet. I am actually in a game right now as I type. Life is a game. Life is a subgame of a bigger game's games with endgames within puzzles within a game of multiple realities over a subgame. Imagine playing two games at the same time, but one never ends while the other goes on until the a new one begins and process repeats 7 or 8 times until you restart and/or load a trainer. On a serious note I am a carrot filled sausage stuck in the bun of life. (the life game within a sublife game of a dream that is) Hacking has always been around, I know - but I'd rather play a good game with hackers then a bad one with hackers.

Thanks guys but I am actually busy for awhile and my addictive personality would have me quitting my job and doing other things that I can't do right now. When the time is right, I shall be scavenging! lol

Back in the late 90s I envisioned a game like this. Sitting on the edge of the mountain overlooking the city I wondered what a post-apocalyptic world would be like and having sniper guns picking off survivors down below. This game sounds amazing and my girlfriend and I are waiting for the standalone before we start playing. I'm going to start spreading the word!
