So guys, I have bought the ArmAII and its expansion, to play DayZ. I have here the version 1.7.2.6, 1.7.3 and the map Namalsk. Yesterday I wanted to play ArmaII OA online, but doesn't matter how I open the game (steam, going to the directory, w/e), it always showes the tag "DayZ 1.7.2.6" on the right corner. I have tried everything, like restoring the games files at the steam, click "unable" at the DayZ at the Expansios area... Then I decided to delete dayz from there (I moved it to another directory), the Namalsk and both DayZ versions, restored the game by the steam, and opened the game by the steam. Result: SAME THING. I don't know what to do anymore. EDIT: I found some dayz files at a random folder inside the ARMAII OA directory, I was like: WTF? I deleted them and it worked.

Well, I've been playing dayz for a while, around 2 months. I have a friend, and he's really interested in buying ArmA2 and the expansion to play dayz aswell. The problem is that we live at Brazil, and if you don't know, the internet here is really expensive, and low. Right now I am paying very expensive for a 600kb internet. When I bought the game, it took like 5 days to download, and I don't want this problem to my friend. The thing is: I'd like to know if it's possible to get my game and transfer to his steam, his computer, with an external HD or a good pen driver. Is that possible? The Steam will read the files normally? Thanks.

Yesterday I met someone, actually a noob, when I was running from Kamenka to Komarovo. After 5 minutes, I found him, crouching and moving slowly. He didn't see me. I had silenced mp5, and as I know, it has a low damage, so I got the closer I could. I was 10 meter away from him, he stopped. I aimed to his head and started to shoot multiple times at his head (I could see the blood coming out), after the 4 first shoots, I stoped it, waiting to "XX was killed", but it didn't happen. He turned back, and started to run forward, in a straight line. So I aimed again, and waste a full magazine with 80% headshots, but he didn't die. :/

He owns it at the steam, but he doesn't have time to download it, so I wanna help, since I have the arma files already... So, if put MY arma files to his steam's common folder, will the steam read it like it was downloaded?

Well guys, I am playing in a private hive and there your clan can have a built base, with custom objects. But I don't know I idea where to put it, it must be a hidden place, a little bit big (it's not a small base :/) and no inclination. Does anyone have any idea? Thanks.

Thanks, I always wanted to know but never found it out. Yeah, I've lost a lot of weapons, trying to put on a full tend and automatically dropping it on the ground, and not finding it. -.- Ah, once I had a tend full of snipers, then I was about to park a car around it and accidently hit the tend, crushing it. ;'(

Mhm... Thanks guys, I appreciate it. The server is a Private Hive, US 1011, it's a really nice server, vehicles everywhere, no lag and custom bases. I'll make a huge base, with empty vehicles and then I'll hide some tends or vehicles with weapons and another items, around it, but VERY hidden. Thanks a lot.

So, I know this is an english forums, and you don't speak portuguese, but I'm trying to get members to my brazillian clan, Last Kings, and I don't have any other way to announce. :/ As I am brazillian (and I think I am not the only one here), I'll give a try! Well, if you ARE brazillian or speak portuguese, join this TS: ts21.interflash.com.br:8980 and poke one of them: [Knight], SWAG BABY MONEY, T-RAWWWWWWW, Hgl_Gamer, saying that you want join the clan. If you are brazillian and understood everything I just wrote you're probably a mature guy, and you are probably playing in an american or english server, because we all hate brazillians for their immaturity, I agree. But we're playing in a very nice server, with around 10 ~ 20 players daily, and they are all friendly and mature guys, its a private hive (BR 9090), and our clan is filled with only mature guys. If you don't speak portuguese I am the only one there who knows how to speak english, so it's gonna be hard to play there! Right now we have 10+ vehicles, 3 different bases (the most hidden only me, SWAG and T_RAWWW know) and all the kind of weapons and items you would want to have (termal snipers, DMRs, silenced M4's and a lot of new stuff)!

I was wondering... Sometimes a zombie hits you or something like that, but you don't get infected. Why? How does the infection works? EDIT: I don't mean like: "Why I didn't become a zombie?". I'm just wondering how the zombies became zombies, how they get infected?

The thing is: I only use third person view because it exists. I mean, if all the players used it, I would use too. Because I feel wronged in a combat, if I am using first person view, and the other guy the third.

I agree with the guy above. The game itself brings us a different perspective: if you die, you will die, so what are you waiting for? Save your own ass! It gives me a pure adrenaline when in a shootout or something like that! It also happens when I'm playing ArmA2 online. Sometimes you are really focused in a target and then: "boom", shots from the NOWHERE! By the way, today I found a gun in a random server. It was a high-populated server, and I was affraid to die. After 10 minutes, I entered in a building, and when I was leaving it a zombie was behind me; he hit me and then shouted... I almost had a heart attack, seriously.

I still think it is the aiming deadzone stuff. Just go to options, slide to 0, press ok, and then test it. If it doesn't help, put it at 100 (or the maximum) and tell me what are the differences.

Well, I've seen a lot of guys complainting about hackers, saying that hackers are everywhere, etc. Even people saying that don't play dayZ anymore because of them. The thing is: I never had a problem with a hacker. SERIOUSLY. Never got killed, teleported, or anything like that, and I'm playing DayZ for a reasonable time and random servers. But I just would like to ask you guys: Am I the only one? Tell me about you. (:

@Timmymachine109O Around 2 months. It's not much time, but Its valid. I never had a single problem with a hacker, and what I don't understand is: a lot of people even LEAVE the game for that. And amaisingly I am not playing in a private hive! It's public. @mZLY Ha-ha-ha-ha. The most of my friends already experienced that. Once I was with a group of friends. After a lot of time playing and looting, we went to our small base, and I left the server. In that exact moment, the others in my group got teleported, with the others players in the server, and got killed! Ha-ha-ha, I think I am really lucky! @RageVG Nice! Sounds good! :D

Well guys, sometimes I don't what to do anymore.. I mean, I go to Cherno/Elektro, get a good gear, and put a lot of food/drinks in my backpack, ready to go to anywhere. But that's the problem: the best places are too away! So I always wanted a vehicle to go to those places, but I don't know what to do. In somewhere in the forest, I have a tend, and there are a lot of items, like engine parts, car wheels, gas can, scrap metal, etc. The only thing is: I don't know where I can find a car. So, could you guys help me out? Note: I have a link of Chernarus' map, and there is listed where a vehicle should be in the map, but I never found there.
