There is a way to get on the chopper. If you are on a base building server, get some scaffolding. If not, then you just need to get into the right place and you'll be able to get on the pilot seat. What they should have done is put it on the international hotel, because then they'd need snipers with anti-material rifles or satchels to take it down. Gas station is too low.

Have you kept your server holy by not overspawning vehicles, giving people everything they'll ever need right on spawn, or adding stupid buildings everywhere making loot super-easy to find? If not, then Daiza (the female DayZ god (who is currently mad BTW about next to no servers offering the female skin option)) is punishing you! Actually she's not, she's just like, OK, if they want to do that to my pride and joy, then enjoy combat loggers biaches!!

A lot of the reason DayZ is easy now is to blame for the server hosters. Disable side chat? We add it again! :thumbsup: Remove spawning with a gun to reduce freshspawn pvp? We add it again! With a silencer! :thumbsup: Make vehicles harder to find and repair? We spawn 50 choppers in the middle of the street and fix all the cars too, adding an overall 1000 vehicles there to make you lag! :thumbsup: Make loot make sense? We add useless firestations and supermarkets to every town to ensure there will be PvP wherever you spawn! :thumbsup: Ban weapons that should be banned? We un-ban them and increase the spawn rate tenfold! :thumbsup: Added zombies to DayZ? Bleh! We removed those pesky and buggy zombies to make sure you can be focused on looting and PvP! :thumbsup: Edit: Just noticed the :thumbsup: has a hitch-hiker's thumb.

Do you have the MROT and Engine Parts on you? Also, sometimes it will show it, and then disappear quickly. Is this what you mean? If so, you just have to be quick, unfortunately.

Check the saturation on your monitor. If your DayZ looks faded, it sounds like a saturation issue, since saturation is how much color is in a color. Also, I know CMY colors look muted compared to RGB, so check your monitor is running RGB, which I don't even know HOW THE HELL it could run CMY. Then, of course, it could be the value of the color, in which you check, as the others before stated, contrast/gamma/brightness.

The You Are Dead screen does not show blood level. Unless I missed it, which I doubt, unless a mod update happened overnight like the one time I went to a thread and was confused because what the OP was saying was then valid.

Possibly when you logged out you left a "corpse" and he had just looted it. Or, when you were loading in, he found you in debug as your character and looted everything from you, and then you spawned? Other than that, can't think of why that would happen.

*thinks back to all the times at Balota airfield* I've found tons of guns there. Those guys who were fully geared probably didn't want you to get a gun and end up killing them, which was highly probable. Just to let you go wouldn't be enough, so it's better for everyone if you were eliminated and they went on their way. Cries of "friendly" and "don't shoot" are squandered by the weight that most people can't trust another's word anymore. Sure, they could have been guys out and about just killing you for the LoLs, but I've had to do this myself and for much better reasons. Also, sometimes hackers make fake CD-keys. It is possible someone unknowingly created a CD-key identical to yours, but the possibility is slim. It is safer to assume you did something wrong on your end.

Private hives are screwy. Roll-backs, restarts, admins, and other things can mess up your gear and location, but for what's SUPPOSED to happen, yes, your gear and location will be saved, spare the servers that run maps like Celle in which you pick up alternative clothing you lose it on startup. Play Celle, it's great. Be warned, it's fairly flat, but really pretty.

The guy with the Gerber Insurance as his profile pic above me has a pretty good idea of what's going on. Now, since it says bad version, it does most likely mean either you have an outdated version -MAKE SURE YOU UPDATE THE LATEST BETA PATCH!!- or the server does, either in the DayZ_code, or in the beta patch or maybe even just your ArmA version.

So I want to get in 3D modeling. I'm already in a class that includes that in the cirriculum for my high school classes, but they use 3DS MAX, and if you know that's a few K's worth of software- so I have Blender. For my first few stuffs, I wanted to make some 3D models for minecraft, and the only problem is that after I figure out how to make them, how do I put them into minecraft? For instance, I want to update the player model into something different. Now I know I would have to remap the bitmap image that wraps the model, but that aside, how do I do things like that?

I'm not in a college. Besides, when you use the student version, you can't use it for commercial use, which is what it is eventually intended for. Blender is free all-round, so I need to learn how to use it until I make enough money commercially to buy Autodesk, which realistically is not even an option as of yet.

I mean like replacing the player model, animal model, and ect. Is this the same by what you mean when you say importing?

Student means you have a registered school code and then you get a DISCOUNT I think of about 70%. My school would not give me their school code. You get a school code by like actually being a school and stuff. That's not really the issue, though, I need to know how to implement the files.

I think that the discussion in this thread can be compromised. As your politician, I would like to remind you that I was elected fairly in an official election held by myself, in which I received a 100% ballot vote. The vote took place Monday, April 5th, at 6:13 A.M. There were 1 elections cast, which had my name on it. Anyway, if you could have a graceful server crash, but a spontaneous one, then how could people base their actions on it? Right now, a server restarts with tons of warnings and things STILL get screwed. If that stopped happening, then they could set a default time only known to the server owner, in which is the base time between restarts that the server has to restart again, and also an amount of hours/minutes/seconds that has to pass before the server can think about restarting again. So the server decides to restart, and everything is fine assuming we can make it restart gracefully (I say 'we' because I'm like a soap-opera fan who feels involved in character's choices and am totally involved in the dev team for the mod, and Jamie should have married Brad, not Angela, just so you know).
