    Day Z Urban Legends

Yes, I know what you're talking about. In Chernarus, he is in a brown workman's outfit. He just watches me for now, blinking in and then out almost in an instant, but long enough that I fire off a shot or two in response to the jump-scare. Perhaps one day he will actually chase me...
  2. OK.... Since I made that other dude go through the trouble of putting his application back together, I'm going to ask that you group them the way it is originally, or I'll be a hypocrite. Sorry, but it must be done!
  3. Atleast you fixed it. Thank you.

    I killed an entire server!

What were you expecting? Something where it was like, "We saw an entire clan of people around Cherno. We took position and [insert story here]. Ended up taking out 15 guys all armed with weapons from Enfields to DMRs. How many kills have you gotten in rapid succession in one town in less than one hour when they are not all part of a group? And it's not like he's going around parading, "I am a DayZ master! I killed an entire server of 3 people! Bow down and proclaim me lord or meet the same fate!". But I guess I can't stop you from being jealous.
  5. CONGRADULATIONS! You have filled out an application 3 times, to finally, on the third and final time, still get it wrong. I have a system in place that removes people like you from ever joining the group. Not to say you're bad or anything, but if you don't take the time to fill out the application correctly there's no place for you here. I'll tell you that all your info is correct and suitable, and the format is correct too (or I would just tell you to edit and not count it as a strike), but you failed to appreciate the words in which I have taken time out of my day to painstakenly type in hopes that people who ARE like-minded individuals may enjoy playing together. Clearly you do not. Bets are you don't even know what this group is about.
  6. DENIED! This thread has everything you need to fill out the application correctly. You have one more chance to do it right, so be sure it's right this time.
  7. DENIED! But you didn't do anything wrong! I'm not sure the time difference will work, sorry. I know the timezone difference for UK and US, but I don't Germany. Basically, you will be available when I'm going to bed. I dunno about the German member either, the timezone will definitely be an issue. Sorry, I really am.
  8. DENIED! Stop trying to impress me and fill out your application the right way. I appreciate all that, but I'm not looking for pros. All that I ask is that you fill out the application and you do it right. Repost your corrected application and we'll get you in here.
  9. ACCEPTED! Thanks for playing. I mean thank you for spacing your app out. I appreciate it. And you are right. We will have to see about the timezone. If it doesn't work out.. sorry.
  10. Should have PMed me about that, but yes, we play on US servers.
  11. That sucks. Been searching for a US Celle server. Dunno if this was one, but still.... You did the right thing to warn us about this. We need to start a server rating thread.
  12. DENIED! Not only did you not even use the right application format, but you COMPLETELY ignored every single thing in the thread. Extremely sloppy work. I am sorry for whoever actually accepts you. DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT RE-APPLYING. GTFO of my thread.
  13. ACCEPTED! We might play Tavania occasionally when it comes out on DayZ commander and there are some US servers hosting it.

    The SA release date.

    Steam Store, my friend.
  15. person915

    The SA release date.

Most games have release dates a few months before. Rocket wants this game to hit stores like a real zombie apocalypse: sudden and without warning. Hell, he might even not announce it, leaving us to discover it ourselves. Of course that would result in many forum posts all stating the same thing in different topics, clogging up the Recent Radio Chatter....

    I killed an entire server!

That's awesome! You guys want a team, click the link in my signature, will take you to a thread right on the forums. Read up, apply if you'd like, and if all goes well, we'll all be having wild times together!
  17. After getting my first kill, and that kill being of defense, I say to myself, "OK, I'm still a hero. I had to do this. I understand that. Just gotta keep trying to help people." Yet... seeing a man in Elektro killing zombies on the street with an AKS... I shot him with an Enfield without even speaking to him. I thought I missed. After a bit there's a death message, and I go in to find his body lying there. I don't think it counted against me seeing as he probably bled out. I was wondering, too, how he died after that long and having bandages on him.... I know this doesn't mean I'm a full-bandit. Of course, I'm still pretty much one, for now, but I can come back from it. It just seems like there's not enough people with bandit skins. I guess I just wanted the thrill. Question is: How do I stop myself from doing this again?
  18. Everyone, this man was in a survivor skin. I aimed for the torso considering I wouldn't trust a headshot, and he immediately moved, so he wasn't knocked out. He had bandages on him and his legs were not broken...

    Day Z Urban Legends

Dead men tell no tales. It has been believed by many that this statement stay true. For me, it has proved a fault of declaration. I'll set the scene: Dark. Traces of moonlight sifted through the landscape, illuminating objects in an eerie -but beautiful- silver glow. The waves crashed continuously onto the nearby shores of Kamyshovo. Among them, the faintest buzz of flies could be heard, emerging out of the hush. On the road. In the middle. Lay there was a man dressed in the skin of a man virtuous. Curious to know him further, I seeked his name. This is what puzzled me. His name: "Listen to me." I checked again. "This you must know." Once more. "You must leave this place." "They are closer than you think." "And they stop at nothing." Puzzled, I slowly backed away. My cursor hovered over the "Abort" option. I carried on. 5 kilometers later. On the coastal highway. A rustle in the leaves sent devastating convulsions up and down my arms, giving me gooseflesh and sending me running in the opposite direction. I looked upon the noise in a flurry of rashful thoughts and raised barrels. The noise came again. I checked by the leaves. Nothing. Continuing on, I was not so much a fool to have these strange things prevent me from completing my adventures. The first time I saw them, was down the road. I could see them of the moon, their hunting caps and guns shining bright through cloaks of darkness dotting the areas around them. They were in V formation, the leader looking like somewhat of a military personnel. I heard another rustle in the leaves. A player was nearby, scouting out the 5 men. Seeing his M16, I thought he might have a chance. He took aim, fired one bullet, and was met by an opposition of 20 or more bullets immediately sinking in his skull. Glancing down at my Lee Enfield, I felt my hope besmirched in a puddle of mud 50 feet deep, still sinking. Still, I did not abort. Then... they all saluted. But not toward the man as ignorant as to think he could handle that many men with that grade fire arms. They were looking at me. My blood froze cold and eyes went wide, not missing anything that came next. They started running down the street. As their voices started to become audible, I started to hear them talking about a hunt. About eliminating all those not worthy of living in this world. Then they stopped. Interested, I stood up, and walked out, now that they had saw me and their guns were lowered for the time being. After a set of silence the seconds passed and I heard "You'd better run." I did. Trudging through the forest in the dark was difficult, as I had to be careful of sudden drops, rocks, and fallen trees. After ten grueling minutes, I found myself back in Kamyshovo. Instinctively, I went back to the man who laid upon the ground. My pursuers were easily visible on the road, walking down nonchalantly, as if knowing the eventuality of the situation. I'd been to busy before, but now, I saw my G17 Combat-Indicator. It was blinking red, even though I had not done anything that would possibly set it off. Even so, I wasn't getting out of this one. I checked the man's name again. "You cannot beat them with guns." "They do not react as you." "To trick them, you must fool yourself." "That is the only rule." Having not a clue what the next course of action was, I watched the men get closer, staying in perfect line and contour with their surroundings. "This can't be happening," I thought. And that's when I got the idea. I marched out, broad shouldered and chest extended, ready to face those who threatened my livlihood. I lowered my weapon, and walked down the middle of the road. In meeting their frontman, he started to chuckle. "Is this how you choose it to end? So petty. I wish it would have been more of a challenge." "Sure, except you're not real," I fired back. "Who's not real?" "My reality is my own. I reject your existance. It is improbable and unruly." "Such big words for a dead man." With this, they all raised their weapons. "Last chance to run, jackrabbit." I started to walk away, toward the hero skin in the middle of the road. Five shots went ripping through my skin... ...and disappeared into the nighttime sky, along with any trace of who might have let them go. I paid one final tribute to the man who told me how to beat them. Checking for any final messages, I learned his name was xXQIKscopEmASTErXx, and he died from I saw some zombies nearby. "You are not real either!" That didn't fly well with them. A chase ensued.
  20. DENIED! You are missing some required info on the application.

Need NVGs in Exchange for (This Part is Negotiable)

I am not really concerned about hackers and all that. Once you've lost as much as I have, which isn't more than over half the DayZ community, you fight while you can but once it's gone you just let it go and start over. I know that I can get everything back. Doing it again just lets me have more fun.
  22. I really don't know where this goes. It could go in troubleshooting, but it seems it goes here. Anyway, the server MvG Canada (1.7.4.4/Build 99153)[REGULAR|3DP:ON|CH:ON][GMT-5] dayzmod.com - hosted by GameServers.com keeps kicking people for BE script restriction #41, but it says that when anyone tries to put on clothing. There was no suitable contact info to contact anyone who owns the server, just said if I have problems talk to [MvG] Cook and some other guy. Ok... well do you have an email? Are you on the forums as that? I checked. How am I supposed to seek you out in the server just to tell you about a problem??? So someone suggested that I tell them to check their filters. I could really use putting on a ghille. You do not even know. Makes my undercover stealth work so much easier. Please check them. If the issue persists I understand and in that case it's probably to do with the patch or something else. But I know you, the owners, have been kicked as well for trying this. Must be annoying. I can't believe I just posted this expecting the owners to somehow find this.
  23. Yes, I agree, completely irrelevant, but I just kind of observe the town waiting for a bandit to roll by, or a needy survivor. So yeah, it isn't really undercover. More of just stealth, or camouflage. I'll add the full address soon, got some chores to do. Edit: Actually didn't have any more chores, posted full address pretty much immediately after this post was made.

    BattleEye Restriction #45

Same thing happening to me. Does it say Battle Eye script restriction #41? I've been seeing even the server owner being kicked by that, as well as tons of other players. No way they're all hacking. I think we need a hotfix.

Am I a bandit or survivor?

I've always been a hero. That guy in the building was my first kill. Would have rather not done that, now that I have.
