I dislike these "monkey hoppers". They see you from across a soccer field when you have less than 3 bars of visibility or hearing, along when no zombies, even facing you that are closer see you, and then make you run or shoot it, attracting the zombies that are actually near you. I say, either fix them, or get rid of them, because right now they don't work how they are supposed to and are annoying.

At that point it wouldn't matter, because a private hive would have him as a regular survivor because it doesn't save previous character data.

In this game it takes away just about everything in DayZ. Fear of players, watching your back, because zombies are not much of a problem. Only time I got killed by zombies was when I suicided or got my legs broken and started bleeding from just 1 hit from 1 zombie. Sure, if you have PVE you can count on other players trying to help you, or ignore you, but people always find a way. Zombie trains and barricades will be common. I always say: those who want a PVE experience, rent your own server and lock it. Play with your friends. Or find one that does that. They exist.

I would take out blood from meat stakes. Since you cook them, most of the blood is gone and the veins shrink really small. If they don't shrink in reality I'm sorry, but all the meat I've eaten doesn't have really big veins in it, so I assume. The purpose of the IV is that so you can hook up the bloodbag to the IV, or the IV stand, and administer it that way. The blood would be held in on the stand, and you would prick your wrist or arm with the tube that injects the blood. Also, I think we should add bloodtypes to the game. Not much is more difficult than having to find a little O Negative out of 3 hospitals! And of course, players will have bloodtypes and have to match, or risk death matching the wrong bloodbag. I'd like it to be you have a possibility of not knowing your blood type, but considering our characters washed up on shore, they probably don't live there, so no hospital records can be looked up to find the bloodtype of your char....

I think there needs to be a harder way to get blood as a lonewolf but not from eating food. Actually, I'd suggest upping your bloodcount by .1 every 2-3 seconds on ratio, but in actuality it goes up by 1 every 20-30 secs (ect), so it registers the change only once every so often, so the game doesn't lag with your blood constantly increasing by a ridiculously small amount. Maybe when it reaches a point where it would go up by 5? The human body constantly produces blood for the cells that are lost and when injured to replace what has been bled. Including a VERY SLOW regeneration feature and REMOVING getting blood from eating seems ethical, don't you think? As for something like bloodbagging yourself, maybe needing an IV first?

In the last thread, the group only pertained to Namalsk. In this group, we will play Chernarus initially. Also, this thread is being revived because it is getting pushed down farther on the list. Anyway, without further a due: There really is no sense dying alone. Our lives in Chernarus can be described in very simplistic terms. They are hard, unpleasant, brutish, and short. The best you can do for yourself is get some gear and go hiking, but what fun is that? Here, we can uphold you substantially for a longer period of time, making your life in Chernarus easier, slightly more pleasant, still brutish, and a bit longer than usual. Now of course I realize that doesn't exactly make you feel confident, but if I promised you a fountain of youth what would you do when you got sniped by an AS50 with no warning and no reason after living for less than a few hours? We are all going to die. We will do our best to fight it, but when it comes accept it. And we will not be there alone. What is the Group About? Just What do you Expect From Me? What Are my Options Here? OK, so What Do I Need to Be? Just Let Me Apply Already!

The DEMO was made for free. I dunno if you can easily get DayZ with the demo of ArmA, but time=money in which your time is probably worth the cost of it all.

Not trying to bring you down or anything, but that was difficult for me to read, as I didn't quite understand your wording. Nevertheless, I get the drift, but you keep in mind that there is no room for you on here, atleast not yet. Though, you said your application will probably get denied. Still, you had good reason to say so, but this should never be said yourself, only thought. It makes me think, "Gosh, why am I reading this if this guy expects NOT to be accepted???"

This thread was actually made a while ago. The same conclusion as Fraggle was made. That thread was more of, "When ArmA 3 comes out, the "NEW" DayZ will be awesome!" Still, it was said that of course the mod would not be optimized and blah blah blah, and that since DayZ already made it, it'd have to be something pretty special to earn its standalone.

There is something you must understand: Private Hives and Public Hives are in NO WAY connected. Therefore, your character can not be deleted by going to an official server, then going to a private one, vice-versa. You can only have 1 character on official servers per CD ID, but you can have more characters on other private hives, though for EACH private hive you can only had one. Say you played on US 445, a public hive, and had a character. You could also go on 2 other private hives and have a character on each one, and not have to worry. Mod updates will affect your character,especially ones not for Chernarus.

This is why you make the children so incredibly unresemblant of what they were as humans no one could tell. You never say they are children but you infer it anyway. Take Resistance for example. I think Dead Space did the same thing.

It sounds like the Mabinogi snowball event when you see a little guy running super-fast and you know what's going to happen. You try and lock onto him but he gets too close and you say "oh sh-" and he explodes, leaving you thinking, "How did he do that?? How do I do that??" But yeah, Mountain Dew or a radio might have opened a time hole, black hole, rabbit hole (to Wonderland), space hole, eye hole, glory hole, or any other type of hole resulting in your death. CHECK THE SERVER LOGS!

Unfortunately with these suggestions we would be making DayZ into a game like WarZ, getting quests and all that. I don't think this will be good in the long run. Honestly though, someone should make a PvE mod for DayZ because a lot of people are compl- asking for it. I would not mind these ideas in a mod. Might even play it too.

Bloodsucker was what killed you, like everyone said. An EVR storm makes the sky turn yellow and you pass out. What I found is the when being chased by bloodsuckers, get high where zombies cannot go, and hills don't really help much. Bloodsuckers are too wide to fit through most doors. Military weapons are so apparent not having anything to kill it is actually pretty funny. When an EVR storm comes in, get in a spacious area away from hostiles. Go prone. Wait to pass out. Most of the time, you will come up with the blood you went down with. GL!

I always hate how in games they have the same model for special zombies. (Why can't normal ones be fat??) So I don't support this idea in light that they probably would do that. Anyway Ima leave this thread for the rest of the birds that will pick at it. And believe me, they will pick...
