Thats nice, but Dayz is all about loss and struggle. It's about a "realistic" immersion of what would happen in the event of a real situation like this, I dont think anyone would agree to safe zones in real life.. Regardless I'm not here to shatter your view, I just simply cant agree with it.

Why would he expect lots of info already? I do not know much about his trip, but I feel like he would be quite out of the loop here considering he hasn't contacted anyone? Not trying to troll or get peoples flame-on but I am just confused as to how he can already make that call (if he indeed actually said that) regardless don't get your hopes up too high guys I cant see this thing being released this coming month. -

Cool idea for later in the SA build probably. As Rocket has stated before he is an ultra-realist and I would not be surprised once the basics were down if research in such areas of beyond basic knowledge of survival was implemented in the game. Such as the thing you mentioned or breaking sticks of trees to rub them together, etc. I am not a survivalist, boy scout or what have you... So I would not know to what extent they could go, but if this crafting engine/module is put it, I would not be surprised at the limitations.

Group Tactics; Whats your Tips?

Thats quite some text you got there. When It comes to fourms I prefer the normal text, maybe a bold or two here and there with a hint of underline. Thats my tips. I prefer to heal players bail them out of tough situations, teach the new guys make friends. You have a better chance of impacting the game as a whole if you show the new guys kindness they will go on to remember it and show other kindness, at least thats how my small scale survey in a private hive went... -
Hunting knife (maybe) dont expect much from a bayonet, at least not right away, expect to either see a Gun or a Strictly melee weapon. But I could see it as an "attachment" later on.

Look for that in the SA, I am sure Molotov will make it in, bayonets most likely wont, that's a hard one.

Not to mention they support them much better. they make it for the love of the game, not for the love of the dollar sign. DayZ is no different, while the game could be released now the team doesnt want to have a false sense of in-completion within the fan base, either way you will all bitch (pardon my French). Look at EA, lots of money in, lots of poor/unfinished games with false features claimed to be in game (Sim city 2013) out. Who would have thought that less than a month from release this game would be 39.99 at Best Buy and they already gave out a free game to those who were unlucky enough to fall into their trap. while yes this game (DayZ) is revolutionary, and yes it could be the next big thing, we have lived without it before. I never understood why people always line up for the next great iPhone every 6 months, after reading this forum I realized people in general want everything right away and now. I am a young adult and was raised with the motto of good things come to those who wait. I can wait, I have a lot of posts in the 'Yard to catch up on! (thanks Inception). -Steam -

Release game before he goes to Everest? Ain't nobody got time for that! Seriously guys, I hate to be "that guy" but... good things do come to those who wait. And this is a good thing, and I expect a lot more out of it then I would've in December. But I am ready and waiting! -

I am that lone wolf, that one guy who feels third person is useful. Here is the thing, y'all wants first person no crosshairs, end of story. You cannot feel yourself as the player behind the keyboard and mouse.. You do not know your body language.. You cannot look down in first person or automatically feel how you are standing. I use 3rd person to know if I am behind cover or if certain parts of me are exposed. I dont feel 3rd person should be used as a combat mode, but it is not without its uses... As for crosshairs.. They should be used in first person for melee weapons AND for guns, because yet again since it isnt immersion you do no know where your gun is pointing from behind a TV screen, whereas in real life you know where you are pointing you gun, as for *just make it center of screen* that would cause abuse with in scoped rifles. As in people will mark their screens for different types of weapons and distances. I have seen it before.. very odd that someone spends the time on that. -

A Way to Introduce a more Work-together environment?

Hey guys, I have recently been thinking hard about how people would be more likely to work together and provide an interest in not shooting everyone you see. This is going to be a MMO - Style, so why not incorporate skills? I'm not saying an experience system, but just when you create your character you can choose what skills you have that can either reflect your lifestyle or mental abilities or actual skills, kinda like a Sim 3 type of Character Creation. Now I am not saying you NEED a mechanic to repair your car, or a solider/ guns enthusiast to be able to shoot well, but what if instead we had mechanics repair the car better, more efficient, returns more health to the car, can provide better upgrades in crafting, same with a gunsmith, or a medic or perhaps a soldier. so that way if you need a medic or a engineer to help you out then you can call on a favor... not to mention if you want their continued support you wouldn't exactly shoot them when you are done with them... You could of course.. But that's another choice you make. :) Let me hear your thoughts! -

Visibility... Freezing.. Heating up to heat stroke.. Would encourage preparing at your base with the right clothes before you move out. sure, sure, I like this.
