    Non group survivors.

No not yet to be honest. We've tried in the early days with small numbers and did ok but ultimately it proved difficult to get enough players on the same server. However since then much has changed and we're in the process of giving it a better attempt under better conditions and with a few more bodies. I guess we will see how it goes, if you want to find out check out our website where we will post updates. I did see it done quite well on smaller scales in the early days, most notably "Smarties Bar", a trading warehouse near Cherno.

    Looking for Small Semi-Serious Group

Howdy, check out our community @ www.bsbnetwork.com We're a stable community of mature online gamers, established in 2002. We dont have any age/skill/time requirements and only ask for fair play and common sense. We have our own TS3 server and have a good number of Day Z players already but we are in the process of setting up more organised fire and raid teams. We have members from all over the world but predominantly see our guys from the UK, US, Holland, Belgium and Ireland playing. If you're interested go to our website for more details and get on our ts3 server to join up with our members.

    World on fire??

Its an ARMA 2 bug mate. There will have been a vehicle crashed at the source of the fire that expands the flames and makes the whole map look like its on fire. .

    Non group survivors.

I like both but agree it's simpler when surviving alone. I often play with our Community members as part of groups ranging from 2 or 3 up to about 8-9 and its much quicker and more straight forward on my own. I die a lot less too funnily enough! But generalyl depends on your objectives; purely surviving then yes its easier alone, but objective based play and domination of resources and map areas then it's got to be team play.

    UK Survivor looking for clan

Howdy, you should check us out at The BSB Network (www.bsbnetwork.com) We're presently setting up our Day Z campaign so that its more organised and structured for all kinds of survivors, but we have a good number of players within our community and in-house clan. We're based i the UK with members from all over the world. We have no age/skill/time requirements or restrictions, all we ask is for fair play and common sense. We use our TS3 server to communicate. If you are interested check out our website and join our TS server to get involved details at www.bsbnetwork.com
  11. Would work well with the ARMA 2 ACE & ACRE mods Simple tutorial Some random mission gameplay
  12. I certainly didn't dream about an official source talking about PvE solutions and it was fairly recent source. Let's face it, it's a fairly logical step anyway. Besides that you'd be pretty naive to think that the inception of this mod wont' and indeed haven't swayed (for better or for worse) with it's massive popularity boost. For example food/water reducing when offline - tweaked, limited servers - gone, forced server times - not a n issue any more because of server availability, pitch black darkness - gone... these are just off the top of my head things that were argued as "fundamental" to the gameplay and wouldn't be changed that have all been tweaked/removed due to the popular demand. I'm still not convinced the entire project hasn't swayed from a labour of love to a money printing exercise yet as the inception talked about a very specific game and approach that cannot possibly work if the game goes retail, or even worse F2P.
  13. I agree but I do know the problem with night servers - the only people who play them are tooled upto the nines with military grade weapons and NV. There's no point playing them unless you are heavily armed and have night vision yourself or you are just fodder. I agree this is purely because there's so many options now instead of players being forced to play night.

    Tents

    Ghilie suits are for wimps!

    Shot myself a crow!

I dunno if you can kill them but in early releases there was a bug that spawned some players as random animals - includng the crow! You tube it!
  18. If it does go F2P, as has been heavily suggested by Dean Hall, it soon will be MMO!
  19. I'm pretty sure I read something official somewhere that said at some stage the PVE server option will be more viable and separate from the PvP hive. So while I can see why those in favour of PvP (I myself quite enjoy the PvP element) may be dubious the PvE option should still be a possibility, there just needs to be restrictions on goodies (vehicles, weapons, supplies, kit etc) transferring. Also I'd just like to add just because YOU don't like a particular method/mode of play doesnt mean it shouldn't be included or accommodated somewhere, this is a SANDBOX game after all.
  20. It's not possible without a second copy of the game and second pc.
  21. Because the influx of new players since the Steam sales has brought with it many of the middle of the roaders who are only here as this is the latest trend! They dont have time to get involved and do things properly, they want their quick fix before soemthing else comes along for them to hop onto!

Bandit Skins and Civi skin update.

I doubt we'll see a working morality/humanity system again in Day Z's current state to be honest with you guys. We know it will return as Rocket himself has confirmed it but I think the game limitations of the ARAM 2 engine prevent it in an acceptable format. Personally a “quick fix” for the current release could be to have all loot that spawns be completely personal and unique to each user based on an internal “humanity rating”. The higher the humanity rating the more probability of useful things/weapons/tools. The lower the humanity the more likely the chance that tins and less useful items are spawned. That way you are better rewarded for being a decent player and bandits aren’t as heavily penalized as they can still get their hands on good kit, it just means they have to rely on their bandit skills and kill for them. I can hear many of you who are bothering to read this gasping but to me it cuts out the “middle ground” players who are only killing for fun sometimes or because of opportunity and means you are only likely to encounter proper bandit style players who would play bandit regardless as well as rewarding players for being humane.
