    Sleeping Bags

This is along the lines of what I was saying. The game doesnt need to be ultra realism, thre needs to ba balance and somethings need to be "relaxed" realism. Having items of loot that benefit the player for sleep time (i.e. offline) would of course be beneficial to all really and encourage objectives other than just food/ammo/weapon hunts.

    DayZ Random Dancing?

Hacker on your server forced all players to dance. At least he didnt teleport you to the airfield and kill you!
  3. boxman80

    Camp fire perk

Im going to say no just because you used the term "Perk"..... No

The virus and the cure (mechanics)

Rocket mentioned that future releases may have side missions or objectives that better feature the cause, effect and background of the virus. I wouldn't be too suprised if this is expanded upon and something simila to your suggestion is implemented maybe. For the record too, why is morphine more common than anti-biotics? :S

    Sleeping Bags

Yea you have my beans for that. I'm not sure about enforcing sleep times but there certainly could be some restrictions enforced after extended hours of play, maybe after 12-15 hours actually online, whereby your character run speeds decrease or his aim becomes sloppy. Naturally there could be counter measures to delay this for those who are more hardcore, such as coffee or high energy drinks that are in the game somewhere. I do like the idea of sleeping bags to prepare you better for offline periods. Not having a sleeping bag should drastically increase the risk of temperature drop when "sleeping", i.e. offline. Anyhting that adds diffrent types of loot, encourages diffrent play styles and offers diffrent objectives to the game in my opinion is a good idea.

    Noobie looking for a friend.

Hi mate, you might want to check out our public TS3 server at the BSB Network. We're a gaming community that has no age, skill or time requirements. We host many diffrent groups and clans and it;s easy enough to get invovled with teams and groups via our community. The details can be found from ymsignature.

Why are dogs going to be in DayZ?

So can we expect to see any and every survivor of any future appoclypse to have dogs?
  8. What do you think should be done? Any solutions?

Why are dogs going to be in DayZ?

They would be great if they were just one of many diffrent customs or useful player stratergies so they become varied or rare, but it sounds like they are going to be "essential" or highly desired as they are so useful, so they will undoubtably become 10 a penny like ghili suits, AS50s and choppers are now.

Why are dogs going to be in DayZ?

I agree that theres otehr things that could and should be implemented before dogs, especially "friendly" dogs. Infected dogs/animals would be interesting and add to suspense and gameplay but friendly dogs,.... no theres stacks of things that need to be done ahead of them.

These stories just get cooler and cooler...... Way to go

Please remove the debug window NOW

Its only there temporary while the game is still being developed isn't it? Im pretty sure you can remove and tweak it yourself anyway can't you?
  13. Fully sympathise with you, it's a shame to see good servers go down. Maybe you should consider making your server a private hive solution for you and your buddies.
  14. Hi, you are welcome to check us out at The BSB Network. We're a social gaming community (not a clan) that is dedicated to fair and fun gaming. We have many members and clans within our community supporting Day Z that team up in groups using our TS3 Server to communicate and coordinate their The community is mostly adult gamers over the age of 20 (well over in most cases!) but there are no age, time or skill requirements - all we ask is you play fair and have a bit of common sense about you! Our members are based all over the world and are on at all times of the day and night, but all speak English and most are based in and around the UK, the US and Mainland Europe. We've been gaming as a community since 2002, so we're not some ad-hoc fly by night clan! I must stress we aren't a clan at all but we do have our own in-house "home" clan within the community that has members playing Day Z, and there are other clans within our community playing Day Z. There is no obligation to join our or any of our affiliated clans to take part. If you're interested check out or website @ www.bsbnetwork.com and hop on our TS3 server and say hi!

    Your first murder?

Im not sure if it was my first "murder" but I havent done many since and it's certainly the one that sticks in my mind most, but I popped a guy when i first started playing near Green mountain who was armed to the teeth. I didnt even give him a chance! I'd already found his camp and heard him shooting in the distance, so took a few essentials from his tent and distributed his excess DMR ammo around in the forest (in case he came looking for me or I encountered him again later!). Anyway as I was moving off in what I thought was a safe direction I encountered him running along a tree line in the distance. So i waited about 10 minutes to see if he would pass on by but he kept getting closer and closer, then he was practically on top of me... He did pass by, about 5 meters away but i popped up and shot him twice with a winchester in the back out of blind panic! I took the rifle but guess what....it was almost out of ammo and I couldnt find any of those DMR mags!!!!! Karma is a bitch!

    Tent saved me !

Fair enough. I see your logic but it just means these guys are going to kill the guy that shouts "friendly" next time too - that might be me :(
  18. Same, excellent signature Mr X!

    Healing needed at Kamenka

You're down on the coast tooled up and willing to give away a DMR with mags.... you;'re either an idiot or a sneaky lieing bandit! Eitherway someone's going to die today :)
  20. boxman80

    I survived the coast....what now?

Only one thing you can do,.... Prepare yourself to do it again real soon. ;)
  21. boxman80

    If ....

You come here freely admitting you're using a pirate version of the game???? The words "Bell" and "end" spring to mind.... Buy the game legit ior wait for the full stand alone version and buy that.
  22. boxman80

    Tent saved me !

Cool story bro.... You are the reason people kill on sight. I just hope you run into one of our fire teams soon!
