Hi there we're the BSB Network, a social gaming community that has a good number of players supporting Day Z. We're hosting many smaller groups within the game and presently undergoing the process of organising a larger scale community group within the game operating fire teams, safe zones etc. We're a stable and established community that was setup in 2002 (so we're not a fly by night ad-hoc clan or anything!) and we're just a good community of gamers looking for fun games. We have no age, skill or time requirements, all we ask is for players to be fair and have a bit of common sense. We use TS3 and have our own community website with members from all over the world. Most of our members are over the age of 20 (well over in most cases!) but we do have some mature younger players too! If you're interested in joining in our groups in Day Z go to our website or hop on our Public TS3 server any time; www.bsbnetwork.com Our recruitment/advertisement topic on this forum can be found here: http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/48408-bsb-network-recruiting/#entry462503

So as you all probably know with the official press release of a full version of Day Z on the horizon (and it won't be free-to-play by the looks of it thank God!) I thought it might be interesting to speculate about the map(s) and content of said map(s) that could or should be used for the game. I personally love the Chernarus map because o fit's varied environment, but I admit I am hoping and presume that a new map or even maps will be developed purely for the stand alone map and I am very excited at teh prospect of a purpose built map too! I hope that the map will be a "western" (US/UK/Euro) based map with an excellent mixture of urban/cities and woodland/countryside. It would be great to see lots of waterways, coastline and islands too. I'm also excited at the prospect of much bigger landscapes, many more enter-able buildings. Indeed even the vast range of different types of buildings such as multi-storey skyscrapers, prisons, apartments, suburban homes, country cottages, car parks, subways, airports, military camps, shopping malls (come on there HAS to be a shopping mall! ;) ) etc. I'm genuinely very excited about what a new map will hold, so let's here what you good people are hoping will feature on a new map, or indeed series of maps/zones, however they decide to zone it. So discuss and suggest away!
-
Well the QA session with Rocket has pretty much confirmed the map will be Chernarus "plus", a bigger version of chernarus capable of easily hosting between 100 and 200 players. Hope there's a more western urban district with the mall! The session also revealed that every building will be enter-able.

Hi, you are welcome to check us out at The BSB Network. We're a social gaming community (not a clan) that is dedicated to fair and fun gaming. We have many members and clans within our community supporting Day Z that team up in groups using our TS3 Server to communicate and coordinate their games. The community is mostly adult gamers over the age of 20 (well over in most cases!) but there are no age, time or skill requirements - all we ask is you play fair and have a bit of common sense about you! Our members are based all over the world and are on at all times of the day and night, but all speak English and most are based in and around the UK, the US and Mainland Europe. We've been gaming as a community since 2002, so we're not some ad-hoc fly by night clan! I must stress we aren't a clan at all but we do have our own in-house "home" clan within the community that has members playing Day Z, and there are other clans within our community playing Day Z. There is no obligation to join our or any of our affiliated clans to take part. If you're interested check out or website @ www.bsbnetwork.com and hop on our TS3 server and say hi! 212.187.246.58:9140

you have 2 options OP Option 1) Stop playing the game until full release stand alone version Option 2) Put up with the negatives of this unfinished game that is still in development, reporting any bugs/issues withing this forum to help the development of the game NOTE: Neither option requires the waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaambulance -

The Survivor Squad is looking for Members.
boxman80 replied to YassirX's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Good luck with this. I like the sound of it. -
Id say yes in the intereste of fairness at night, BUT I think it may just need better balancing. NVG and night scopes could be in the game, they just should be super rare and they should need batteries and again batteries should be a scarse resource!
-
This is very common and you have 2 options:- 1) Stop playing till a more stable full release. 2) Resign your self to the fact this is an alpha stage mod, a technical exercise and help contribute to the development of the mod/game by reporting what you feel was a bug with as many details as possible via the bug feedback board and continue playing.
-
Great, look forward to getting a few games in with you!

Why can i not join any servers?..
boxman80 replied to mikemyers (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I had the same problem last time i tried to play. I think it's becauyse you need to update your version of the mod. -

We use TS3 and have over 1200 memebrs within the community playing various games (over a hundred playing Day Z!). There's no requirements or commitments, just simply turn up and play when you want. I think Day Z is already quite heavily PvP, probably more so than PvE at the moment. I don't think it needs to be expanded upon further. You can make your own missions and lan games for ARMA2 for pvp stuff anyway. THeres also lots of really good other mods for ARMA 2 that are more PVP. I think Day Z needs to remain dedicated to what it's supposed to be, which is pruely survival, be it against zombies/environment or bandits.
