Looking for active players or a good clan
boxman80 replied to Chance Vance's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
You should check us out at The BSB Network - www.bsbnetwork.com We have been going since 2002 and have more than 1300 registered community members, with 200+ of them playing Day Z. We have players based predominantly in the UK and mainland Europe but we do have a good number of players playing stateside and accross another 36 countries. We have something to accomodate most types of player, to casual group players, playing as and when they can/want right upto more organised and dedicated fireteams. We have our own TS3 server and a dedicaed website/forum for our community. We dont have any requirements or restrictions other than having a bit of common sense and playing fair (no cheats/exploits). More details can be found at www.bsbnetwork.com -
Hi, you are welcome to check us out at The BSB Network. We're a social gaming community (not a clan) that is dedicated to fair and fun gaming. We have many members and clans within our community supporting Day Z that team up in groups using our TS3 Server to communicate and coordinate their scavenges and raids. The community is mostly adult gamers over the age of 20 (well over in most cases!) but there are no age, time or skill requirements - all we ask is you play fair and have a bit of common sense about you! Our members are based all over the world and are on at all times of the day and night, but all speak English and most are based in the UK and Mainland Europe with some in the US too. We have over 200 registered Day Z players and most of them team up in small groups, or "fire teams of of 4-8 players. We've been gaming as a community since 2002, so we're not some ad-hoc fly by night clan that's been quickly set up and will be gone in the blink of an eye! I must stress we aren not a clan at all, we're just a community for casual to serious players (it's upto you how you use our community) but we do have our own in-house "home" multi-game clan within the community. There are also other affilaited/friendly clans and groups within our community playing Day Z. There is no obligation to join our clan or any of our affiliated clans to take part in sessions though, everyone is free to urn up and get involved. If you're interested check out or website @ www.bsbnetwork.com and try to hop on our Teamspeak 3 server and say "hi!" 212.187.246.58:9140

So ive just found a satchel charge wtf should i do with it?
boxman80 replied to rollo23's topic in New Player Discussion
Trade it? Use it to ambush a group camp? Set up a trap in The NW Airfield?? Blow up a Hospital? Upto you mate! I dont think I would leave a satchel charge in a camp though - that's just asking for someone to blow up your base! -
Video from one of our groups

SVD Cammo I'd say but I guess it depends on your play style. Personally I dont bother with the longer range rifles myself as a) I'm not much of a PvP gamer and prefer closer range rifles B) I usually play in groups and normally have team members with DMRs and longer range rifles.

Not a good idea promoting it here mate......

Pros = more control, less hackers, potential for better PvE Cons = If everyone does this it potentially could destroy the game. Harder work to populate it and build a stable user base. Gear you aquire on this server is only on this server (which is why its harder to build a decent and stable user base).

Why not join one of our teams? We already have lots of fire teams and informal groups using our resources @ The BSB Network. We have over 1300 registered layers , more than 200 of which are Day Z players. We have players of all ages and of varying experience. For more details check out our website www.bsbnetwork.com

Hi there we're the BSB Network, a social gaming community that has a good number of players supporting Day Z. We're hosting many smaller groups within the game and presently undergoing the process of organising a larger scale community group within the game operating fire teams, safe zones etc. We're a stable and established community that was setup in 2002 (so we're not a fly by night ad-hoc clan or anything!) and we're just a good community of gamers looking for fun games. We have no age, skill or time requirements, all we ask is for players to be fair and have a bit of common sense. We use TS3 and have our own community website with members from all over the world. Most of our members are over the age of 20 (well over in most cases!) but we do have some mature younger players too! If you're interested in joining in our groups in Day Z go to our website or hop on our Public TS3 server any time; www.bsbnetwork.com Our recruitment/advertisement topic on this forum can be found here: http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/48408-bsb-network-recruiting/#entry462503

Our community/clans dont have age limits, we just ask for common sense and fair play. Speaking from experience though it tends to be mostly lost on younger players, however we have some really cracking younger guys playing with us.
-
Still here open to all as long as you ahve a bit of common sense and play fair.

I think essentially you are right, the medical side of things within the game could use a bit of work. A first aid kit could be assembled and carried as it's own inventory/storage part of the player inventory. Also your point on broken ones is interesting too as you rightly say, a brace could be contructed to repair broken bones and allow walking again. For this though a crafting type of system would be needed, for example to use rope/string and solid long materials from the environment or inventory and "combine" them to form a brace.

Ive seen a good amount of players banned for having hacked weapons in their inventory...
