The AS50 is more accurate and uses quieter rounds. Its horses for course though and chances are you will be face down in a ditch soon enough anyway with a group rifling through your belongings!

Ive heard rumours of private hive servers running all these wierd and wonderful mods but yet to see any or play on any. I'd love to arrange some games within our community on some of the better ones at some point soon.

Agreed with Voddler. The dogs are a wishlist item more than a necessity. I'd hope that more efforts are going into the stand alone release at this stage than anything else.

As stated earlier in the thread we are indeed recruiting and always looking for people to join our community, even if they arent interested in joining our in-house clan. Zenatsu was our previous Day Z campaign manager and simply forgot to update the post, which was created from an earlier thread. He has since stopped playing Day Z as often (due to Guild Wars 2 coming out) and has been replaced by CPT_Robbo as campaign manager. He has been remined that this post need supdating and will get round to updating soon.

That was my point though, there should be no real diffrence in guns other then personal preference for various diffrent approaches to their use. A gun is a gun at the end of the day and they are all designed to be fatal and should all present a danger to players. These guns should have their own pros and cons that are more relevant to the game and make them better in certain situations. For example the M240's pro within the game would be it's a player and zombie killer at decent range with it's impressive & constant fire rate and ability to supress and mow down people. It's cons would be it's heavy, reducing players ability to carry items, its cumbersome so manoverablity would be compromised, it's accuracey isn't great and it eats bullets like a fat kid at a cookie stand - ammo that in large quantities (box/belt format) which shouldnt be that common. Oh and as a military grade weapon it would requie a bit of maintenance. Yes the guy withthe Makorov can still kill you with 1-2 shots, but the cons of his weapon would be it's low calibre (so if you did have body armour on it wouldnt be as effective), the range and accuracey are poor (especailly under supressive fire!) and he only has 9 shots before he has to reload!

I gave you beans for teh enthusiasm and some of the ideas mate. 1. Yes it should be more difficult for groups. I would suggest groups simply spawn more zombies and at a quicker rate. Also sounds from gun shots and vehicles should attaract all zombies within the spawned region. Firing a gun should be more hazzardous. 2. Fair point but will probably be tackled in stand alone anyway. 3. Dont see why not. Alcohol should play it's part in the game for furtehr extended reasons, explosives sucha s molotv coctails, as a kind of in-game karma/rewards system for humanity (sharing a smoke or a beer/spirit increasing humanity) and as a disinfectant for basic medication. 4. Maybe. I know Rocket mentioned this before but this and dogs for me shouldnt be priorities. Long term, yea possible but if people want cyber pets they should get a tamagotchi. But for the sake of "sandbox" sure ok. 5. Youalready have a shock/fear system. Maybe just rework it and imporve it a bit. 6. More melee weapons for sure. These should be more heavily focused on and an easier alternative to fire arms for players to employ.

Just another loot location really. You could say that other loot spawns should be car wrecks, road blocks, gardens, boxes and even random places in the wilderness. I'd say what's more important is you should be able to eat the pumpkins and oranges/tomatoes you find growning in the gardens an orchids accross the maps!

The only thing I know that is ghost and monster proof is your own bedsheets!

Ive got one, but problem is I ahve all teh gear you are offering too apart from the M9 which Ive found and left in preference for my trusty .1911 :S Best advice I can give you is to look for clan servers and search the area at the north of the map, you will find camps there loaded with goodies. Best to do this in groups and/or witha vehicle!
