Our community partnership scheme has been officially launched today. The scheme is aimed towards other well established communities, clans, guilds and teams that share similar ideals as The BSB Network. The idea is that we can work closer with other good communities of gamers and expand our gaming contacts and network. The hope is that we can better accommodate gamers within our community by having preferred "partner" clans/guilds/communities on various game titles, especially games that we don't have a support campaign for. Obviously we are only targeting high quality communities/clans with this scheme to ensure our community members are accommodated as best as possible so we have some guidelines that we are looking to follow when appointing partners that include being 100% legitimate with a zero tolerance on cheating, being well established and stable and of course being managed by adults. We are hoping that our partnership scheme is mutually beneficial to both The BSB Network and our partners, with us providing promotion and support from our website and the contacts within our community that are active within their game titles, and vice versa. Once established as a partner staff representatives of partner communities will be permitted to promote their communities on our forum and we will explore possibilities of further mutual projects.

Hi, you are welcome to check us out at The BSB Network. We're a social gaming community that is dedicated to fair and fun gaming. We have over 200 players in various Fire teams and groups playing Day Z and using our Teamspeak Server to communicate and coordinate their scavenges and raids. These teams have several bases, vehicles, camps and play across several of our own home servers. The community is mostly adult gamers over the age of 20 (well over in most cases!) but there are no age, time or skill requirements - all we ask is you play fair and have a bit of common sense about you! Our members are based all over the world and are on at all times of the day and night, but all speak English and most are based in the UK and Mainland Europe with some in the US too. We've been gaming as a community since 2002, so we're not some ad-hoc fly by night clan that's been quickly set up and will be gone in the blink of an eye! There is no obligation to join our clan or any of our affiliated clans/groups to take part in our sessions though, everyone is free to urn up and get involved. If you're interested check out or website @ www.bsbnetwork.com and try to hop on our Teamspeak 3 server and say "hi!" it's always busy at all times of the day and night, check now to see who's online at the moment 212.187.246.58:9140

We got a new Day Z event starting this Sunday too, Hungry Hippo Battle Royale, check the main page or Events section of our website for details.

Yea no worries mate, just hop on the TS server when you are free and ask in any of the Day Z channels if they mind you joining or just hang out in the "Looking for a game" channel. There's normally members playing relaxed and socially in there our Fire Teams dont mind a new face tagging along most of the time (unless they are hunting their targets as part of our Bounty HunterZ tournament). We have active members on at all times of the day and night. If you enjoy yourself then you can get more involved by becomming an affiliate or a member of our internal clan via our website @ www.bsbnetwork.com. You sound like exactly the sort of guy we are aimed at and who we normally attract so I think we might well be right up your street mate. Hope to catch you in game soon!

New Standalone Screenshots released
boxman80 replied to mattlightfoot's topic in Mod Announcements & Info
Any chance of some "easter eggs" scattered across the map in a couple of houses- such as messages scrawled on walls, or some human remains, maybe evidence of a "last stand, or even scenes that are a nod towards classic movies from the genre, that sort of thing? -
This is what they were hoping to avoid with the public hive server and their "strict" admin code of conduct. Hacking goes crazy and private hive servers crop up, hey presto mini-Hitlers and 12 year old kids get their own servers and go ban crazy. I've actually seen admins banning players for using "their" vehicles and for using certain weapons... crazy. There must be a fair and balanced compromise between public and private hive! Lets' hope the hacking has been properly addressed in stand alone release and it encourages more people back to public hive with fairer universal admin rules....

New playing looking for people to play with
boxman80 replied to Sins (DayZ)'s topic in Clan / Group Recruitment
Hi there we're the BSB Network, a social gaming community that has a good number of players supporting Day Z. We're hosting many smaller groups within the game and presently undergoing the process of organising a larger scale community group within the game operating fire teams, safe zones etc. We're a stable and established community that was setup in 2002 (so we're not a fly by night ad-hoc clan or anything!) and we're just a good community of gamers looking for fun games. We have no age, skill or time requirements, all we ask is for players to be fair and have a bit of common sense. We use TS3 and have our own community website with members from all over the world. Most of our members are over the age of 20 (well over in most cases!) but we do have some mature younger players too! If you're interested in joining in our groups in Day Z go to our website or hop on our Public TS3 server any time; www.bsbnetwork.com Our recruitment/advertisement topic on this forum can be found here: http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/48408-bsb-network-recruiting/#entry462503 -
Great video, good representation from members of The BSB Network!

Its prersonal choice mate and depends on your play style. If you PvP a lot or spend a lot of time in densely popluated such as Cherno, elektra or even intend to push north to military targets areas you want the higher grade military weapons, of which the AK is on thebottom run of the ladder. It's not really going to compete seriously against other, better military weapons but it will out range and outgun shotguns, pistols SMGs. Personally I would be trying to take both, but if space was an issue i'd go for the Winchester as it suits my covert play style. I try to sneak around and not to get into too many confrontations when I'm playing alone and i would always choose the shotgun over a rifle or lower run assault rifle simply because ammo is quite common and easy to come by in civillian areas.

Stable, well established mature community. Come and join us today! Details @ www.bsbnetwork.com

The Most Overlooked Part of DayZ - What will happen to it in the Standalone?

I second this. Excellent post and it is truly something that needs to be worked towards within this (or other) games. -
Yea I think a few subtle little easter eggs would be a nice touch.
