Oldest I've had was 120ish days then character was reset for picking up duped gear (taken from a bandit). That was back in October i think.

I hear what you are saying it's pathetic but the way I look at it is if these guys are daft enough to pay for kit they will probably lose and can only use on a small amount of servers then it's upto them. besides that it keeps the nuggets from the decent servers I play on!

I suppose it depends on the map more than anything presently. For me, playing mostly Taviana, the amount of ammo needed is negated by the fact it's so common and you can easily scavenge with this weapon, filling up as you go. The power could do with being tweaked a little to make it more lethal short range but to be honest the only early game gun I'd take toa fire fight with another player would be the enfield - that should go without saying. For me, early game weapons are more about survival than PvP and more of a means to move and quickly scavenge and gear up than actually taking on other players. Therfore if it shoots zombies and puts them down (mostly) in one quickfire shot, it's ammo is common and it makes a bit of noise to startle other players (maybe confuse them to give you a split second head start) - it's a decent tier 1 gun in my book. But in stand alone I would prefer to see this sort of weapon along with a whole load more of melle style weapons and and less military grade weapons. Surviviors should have to consider more things such as ammo storage, magazines, noise and even maintenance when using firearms. In my opinion the 9mm guns are the biggest disapointment. Guns such as the M9, the MP5 and the Glocks are just pants. They are rare enough to be considered "late game" weapons, which dupes players into feeling like they are decent and they just arent powerful enough to be any real use other than when stealth and precision are paramount. Maybe it's more down to style of play but I dont really find they save me much time or effort, especially against Z's.

The double barrel is actually a great starter weapon, ammo is abundant, its a good zombie slayer and its really common. I think in SA weapons like this should be the sort of bread and butter weapon most of of use regularly.

Makarov. Low ammo magazine, low damage, struggles to slay zombies and it looks like a puff's gun....

Lingor is ok, but as Wolverine says its horse ofr course. I personally think Tavinan is the most interesting map and offers some of the most entertaining game play, it certainly suits the survival styl eof play some of our plkayers are taking part in on our server, as wella s the banditing that goes on.

We do have bandits and Kill on Sight players so be cautions, but the size of the map and the player base means you are relatively safe to go about your business most times.
