Not sure about the issue you're having but if you're after hostilities you're welcome to join our private hive. We have two active factions (Ravens & Scorpions) that go head to head daily and weekly events that pit both factions (as well as various private groups and "lone wolves"). Server address is in my signature and features custom buildings, loot, weapons and bases as well as much much more!

We appoint server moderators after prolonged server use. Our Day Z Faction Wars event continues this Sunday (31st March) at 8pm (GMT) with game 2 of our Faction Wars event entitled "Convoy". Scorpions have hijacked a convoy of vehicles and are using it to transport equipment and kit to various caches around the Taviana Islands, Ravens must stop them at all costs! Private Military Companies and Lone Wolves may "allie" with either faction before hand or they may simply be a spanner in the works for both factions and take the convoy for themselves! ah ok, wasnt sure what you meant - I thought there was some kind of big easter event going on that I wasnt invited to! :( lol Yea there's going to be a load of people sat around on their arses this weekend with it being a bank holiday (UK) and easter holidays for the kids so it should be quite popular. This is a weekly event too byt the way so thres a follow up event scheduled for the week after. My worry is I do recall him saying early days that he was considering the Free To Play model for Day Z though, there was also a poll about it here on the forums from him, so he can't hate it that much. Also people might hate it but the problem is the revenue micro-transactions create tend to take the bitter edge off introducing them! Fact is we all moan and hate micro-transactions but we are the same people who make them feasible because we lap them up like fat little German kids on a chocolate factory open day! I disagree about Day Z being the wrong type of game to support micro-transactions; its exactly the right type of game for micro-transactions, especially the way it's heading. Any game with scope for lots of personal customs (such as a clothing/skin system) and items that can add minor benefits to playing (weapons/kit/items) is exactly the sort of game that can suit micro-transactions. Day Z is a perfectly feasible platform for the micro-transactions model - think a cross between APB: Reloaded and Combat Arms. I'm not saying that's what's going to happen though. I actually don't think it will happen as the development team have historically been very well connected and in-touch with us within the community and always seem to try to comply with our expectations. I just think it is a possibility and we should be aware of it as Day Z made some pretty big waves last year and if that continues with stand alone it will attract the attention of some of the industries big wigs who are less thoughtful about their communities. And I think I'm right in saying that Day Z (SA) now actually belongs to the development company, which means at the end of the day they have the final word...
