We're mostly adult gamers but we dont have any silly rules , trials or requirements other than fair play and common sense. We have our own populated server (see my signature) and Mumble server and our Day Z players are divided between 3 different Factions according to their style of play ; Ravens (Heroes), Scorpions (Bandits) and Jackals (Mercenaries/Traders/Inbetweeners!). We have regular Faction Wars seasons (8-12 weekly gaming events for the factions to compete against each other for points) as well as other cool regular events such as Bounty HunterZ and fun skirmishes. Lots to keep any Day Z player entertained. Why bother with new or untested clans that are likely to be here today and gone tomorrow? I tend to feel that as this game is a sandbox game, ultimately it's just an environment to do what ever the hell you want to do, it shouldn't strongly encourage game play either bandit or hero.

I'd argue the chopper isn't the rarest or indeed best find in the game to be honest.

You guys looking for a home server where you can compete against other teams? We have 3 factions all ready competing against each other in a seasonal competition (Faction wars) and we'd love to have a few more teams involved. Decent topic OP, not a new one but stil la good read. However, first of all, who said that there's only a hundred people in Chernarus? Just because a server is limited to 100 people concurrently, this doesn't mean there's a maximum of 100 people, far from it. That aside I truly believe people would commonly go "bandit" in such a situation. True, humans are social, but that's given the right circumstances, but deep in the core of all of us is in-built instinct of self preservation. How else would you explain things we see on the news every day that humans do to each other? You only have to look at prisons or thirdworld countries to see how desperate and "bad" people can get with certain circumstances, where violence or death are ways of life. This sort of environment desensitises people. I think this is part of the conditioning the environment pushes on people. If anything this proves day z is actually quite good at simulating the environment there because on any thread like this the same sort of opinions crop up "its easier" - this is an opinion formulated from experience! Strongest survive sort of mentality How many times have you let someone live or helped someone only to be killed by them? In real life this experience would be literally a life or death decision, making the wrong one would see you face down, leaving the bandit standing. It would only be a matter of time before most of the people left standing had killed to survive or been in a situation whereby they should have killed! That's not to say there wouldn't be groups of social people, cohabiting and forming basic communities (much the way there ARE people doing this in Day Z), but this would have it's own challenges that would test humans and again it all goes back to that deeply personal instinct to survive, preferably by the easiest means!

Some further map tweaks coming next week including; - ghost town - off shore platforms - hidden fortresses - reshuffle of hidden bandit caches and much more!

I am delighted to announce the return of our popular Bounty HunterZ event on our Day Z server! For those of you who aren't aware, Bounter HunterZ was an event we ran last year successfully for a number of months whereby targets were announced at the beginning of the week (from volunteers) with a reward for their capture/kill and/or any extra objectives. Well now it’s back, and better than ever with the chance for participants to win cool stuff, such as rare weapons, exclusive vehicles and equipment and rare tools/items. The event is on-going with a list of targets and rewards being posted each week on our the website (http://www.bsbnetwor...m/bountyhunterz) and everyone is welcome to enter. Players who complete the "hit” and any additional objectives can claim their bounty. Targets that manage to evade their pursuers (and have been active on the server!) can also win rewards. Not to mention the adulation and satisfaction of bating loads of other players to the prize! Targets are picked randomly from volunteers , to volunteer you simpley complete the form on the Bounty HunterZ event page (EVENTS section of our website) and I will inform you when you have been selected. Active server wih players on at all times of the day. Growing population No pay to win load outs! Standard low gear load out for all players (makarov, 2 mags, Czech vest & 2 bandages) + for a limited time only 1 tent! Usual custom buildings such as extended urban areas, additional fire stations, barracks, appartments,castles etc (Nothing Over pwered or that makes it easy though!) Daylight settings temporarly runnign 24/7 No admin restricted areas Additonal vehicles custom loot tables 30+ new weapons added to the spawn table and more coming! custom vehicle spawns AI Bandits, soldiers and survivors Custom ambushes and choke points Towing/airlifting moderaters with lmited admin access (so no admin abuse!) to just kick and ban hackers Many new features including custom Wasteland-style base building! Now more than ever it’s important for server regulars to pick a side! With the recent relaunch (moved server host and changed maps!) and success of our Day Z server, it’s important our server users get affiliated to a faction! Our Chernarus server is a dangerous place with AI and human bandits on almost every hillside, in every city and around every corner! We’re already seeing a lot of casualties though treachery, deception and damn right piracy! The only rules that apply on our server (apart from no cheating!) are faction members cannot fire upon members of their own faction – there is only honour among our factions! Affiliation to a faction at least guarantees your safety (and support) within that faction! Affiliation last the entire course of a Faction Wars season, which are regular events that are hosted on the server and played at specific times, so once you are affiliated with a faction you are bound to them for the long haul, but benefits of being a part of a faction include team loyalty, better event participation and eventually a protected faction base! All three factions are presently open to join and offer various benefits! Ideally, the factions have different goals and approaches (but these arent always set in stone!); Ravens tend to be more "hero” style in their approach, friendly, skill full, stealthy and interested in building bases, helping others and providing protection to bambis and noobs alike! Scorpions are more "bandit" style players, pirates of Chernarus their main objective is self preservation and to f**k up some ones day! They are only loyal to each other and will think nothing of shooting first, asking questions later! Jackals are the newest faction and specialise in base building and trading. They also tend to be a friendly/hero styled faction but have been known to switch their loyalties to the highest bidder! They are kind of a bounty hunter faction! However it’s important to understand that this is only the IDEAL of the factions and there are no obligations for Scorpions to play bandit, Ravens to play hero – Ravens can be as cold and ruthless in their daily excursions and Scorpions can be friendly and helpful, it’s entirely up to you how you wish to play! I always follow Ikeas instructions yet i have a fairly high "failure" rate when I assemble the furniture There needs to be some element of risk and falure to every craft I think
