The reason they dont run indoors is because the pathing issues in the mod. This has been completely overhauled and improved in SA. I really dont mind this and am pleased about it as it helps make the game as challenging as it should be. I would imagine to help combat this you would have to close doors behind you or barricade entrances and they will no loner be able to just warp straight through any more. It also means you have to deal with zombie threats, ideally as quietly as possible. For me this only goes to improve the game.

Do you run 24 hour night time settings?

Did you die after you placed the other two tents? Tents can only be repacked if you placed them during your current spawn. Also if you have put them too close to objects such as trees or rocks they can become "bugged" and can even be very dangerous, breaking legs or killing players who try to access them because of the bugs.

Dont get me wrong, I appreciate there are going to be individuals who are grateful for medical assistance from a random stranger, especially given the dangers. And I can understand that and even respect that sort of thing - I can even see the appeal in the play style, especially so from veterans of the game. I also appreciate that this does very much fit how Day Z is purely the environment of some fantastic player driven stories! Everyone loves to hear a story of a stranger bucking the trend and not killing a vulnerable player and actually helping them in their hour of need. That’s what Day Z is all about. My initial point I guess was in relation to a lot of players who seem to choose this style of play for the wrong reasons, they want to be that hero but also want everyone to know it was them, for the adulation and what they perceive as being on a higher pedestal than your average player, bandit or those of us who are a bit more cautious. They do this probably totally ill prepared and for without the experience needed to do it properly. I also fail to share their ideology of it , the kind of “making Day Z safe” approach, when in reality their approach could be seen as reckless and ignorant. Even in the best case scenario it’s purely fire fighting, on a very, very small scale – probably losing more lives than saving and ultimately never going to make anyone safe. It just seems so futile in most cases. Again, no disrespect intended to those of you who do dedicate your play style to medic styles, I know there are a number of very successful teams out there that I do have a lot of time for that. I

Hi folks, just an open invitation to any good people who would like to participate in another of our open events! Last week we had a good turn out (thanks to those who joined in!) and tonight we're hoping for an even better show! BRIEF: We are hosting a series of mini-events between our main seasonal events (Faction Wars- season 3 coming soon!), where buy the players on our server are divieded into three main factions. Private teams and Lone Wolves are also more than welcome to take part. These mini-events are pretty straight forward ! Each week Our factions, Ravens, Scorpions & Jackals, are each being assigned an objective to defend. The other factions and private teams/lone wolves are tasked with assaulting and securing those positions. The team that holds the objective at the end of the event each week wins! To make it more interesting rewards are being offered in conjunction with other ongoing events (Bounty HunterZ & Faction Wars) in the form of "Faction Funds" which can tehn inturn be used to purchase various items of kit, ammunition, clothing, vehicles or even weapons from our Faction Shop (on our website). RULES: - A 1 hour "gentlemen's agreement" of cease fire is in affect from 7pm onwards to allow players to gear up and prep in relative safety. - Event starts 8pm Sharp when the objective is marked on the map. - No combat logging. - No 3rd party software, hacks or cheats - All in-game weapons & vehicles are available (if you can find it you can use it!) - No abusive language or flaming - The player or team that controls the objective at 10:30pm will be the winners and get the reward - No kamikazee attacks (using choppers/planes) to destroy the objective or surrounding area - No voice comms in side chat - Lone Wolves and small teams are welcome to team up with any faction at their own risk! - Any disputes will be settled by the server admin (Box). TIME/DATE: 6th June 8pm (UK) 7-8pm 1 hour prep time! SERVER: The BSB Network Chernarus server. Pretty clsoe to vanilla settings - Basic load out (1 makarov, 2 mags, 2 bangages, 1 czech vest), 250ish vehicles, towing/heli lifitng/ AI / NO auto refuel enabled. Welcome to the best game you will ever play! Glad you enjoying the game but as HerrJon says, the fear doesnt last ... or certainly not the environmental fear. Soon you get to feel the fear of the real threat - other players. if you looking for budget id stick AMD, despite what other people will tell you here. I find them the best value pound for pound kit. Something like the 8 core 8350 processor and a 6870 onwards graphics card....

Still, shooting an enfield off in the middle of the super market - what did you think would happen? No pistol/hatchet? Persoanlly I think a lot of these "medics" or uber helpers are pissing in the wind, it's a thankless task that's never really going to give the adulation or attention that these guys seem to want, it's more likely to make them look like fools or get them killed. For me if you are doing it for the attention, or to make yourself look like a good guy you shouldnt be doing it at all. Day Z is a hostile wasteland, expect abuse, being killed and no one to do you a favour. Even the best of us have got blood on our hands. its a dog eat dog world - and I will eat your dog!

This is just a mini-event in preparation for the full season wars event. The TBA are the dates of the up-coming Faction Wars season themselves scheduled to start later this month. Normally events would appear either on our news sectiona nd/or int he events calander themselves. Most Day Z events are played thursday or sundays. However we also have on-going events that can be played at any time throughteh week (such as Bounty HunterZ.) We tend to post events here ont eh day we runt ehm as if we post them too early people tend to forget and the topic dies well before the event.

Did you make sure you had the right player UIDs - these are different from GUIDs and can be obtained from your databse.

Yea I know it was already considered, that's what I said in my post above. In fact I contributed on the original thread about it when Rocket was asking about what sort of game would we prefer for a stand alone title... My concern is that it was considered (and at one point the leading idea!) and that was BEFORE BI was fully on board and had commissioned a full title. The way PC gaming is presently going, most titles tend to be going towards micro transactions or DLC as a means of sustained income - squeezing every last drop out of a title. It's going to be a worry for any fan that Day Z would be a prime candidate for such an approach. The only real salvation is that this is Rocket's baby and he's been left to steer the design of the game and BI seem to a company that is very keen to remain loyal to their fan base.

The factions are hostile (although they can still be "friendlies") and will be actively engaging in all out warefare against each otehr in the persuit of weekly objectives. However, to add a little spice to the mix, we're looking for groups of players or even lone wolves to join our server and make things difficult for them! We're looking for tough bastards who are ready to kill on sight and who aren't intimidated by established organsied groups, people who specialise in killing clans and groups!
