  1. Mostly PvE teams and groups kicking about on the server at the moment, focused on creating bases and strong holds. However there are active bandits on the server (at leas one dedicated bandit team!) and a couple of the groups are hostile too. Great fun, some cracking bases already springing up too!

Looking For A Clan ( English Only)

Check us out @ BSB Network (http://www.bsbnetwork.com ) We're an adult group of gamers based in the UK with many English speaking EU members. We're a good size, not so big that people are lost among a sea of randoms; not too small so that there's hardly anyone playing. We have been gaming since 2002 and we've supported Day Z since launch and will be supporting it well into stand alone, so we're not some fly-by-night clan that will have disappeared in couple of weeks - we're stable and consistent. We've currently got an Epoch server that is active and has a group of our regulars playing on it. It's mostly PvE stuff at present given the sizes of the population but as our guys play in small groups there's still plenty of PvP action. We host regular events on the server and it's well administrated (no admin abuse!) with a few tweaks for improved and balanced gameplay - nothing like OP load outs or ridiculous edits that make the game boring and too easy! We have our own Teamspeak server too and our guys use this for teamwork as well as just having a laugh and a bit of banter as they play. We also play other games together too, such as ARMA 3, Left 4 Dead, World of Tanks, CoH, War Thunder etc, etc. All are welcome to come along and join in, we have no special rules or requirements, all we ask is for fair play (no cheating!) and a bit of common sense. Membership to our clan isn't even necessary, everything is quite casual and social but if players want to step things up a little the opportunity is there. Anyway, feel free to swing by our Teamspeak and EPoch server any time matey. Details are on our website @ http://www.bsbnetwork.co

    how do your clans work

Details of how we roll can be found at our website @ http://www.bsbnetwork.com
  4. Epoch 1.0.4.2 has iron ore veins that can be used to mine and craft gold. Not one of my favourite additions so far but I'll give it a chance.

  13. Hi mate you're welcome to check us out @ the BSB Network (http://www.bsbnetwork.com) We're primarily an open gaming group for adult/mature social gamers. Our prime focus is on gaming as a group of friends fairly and having a laugh. We have been around since 2002 and have supported Day Z since launch and will continue to do so well into stand alone (as well as a few other gaming titles too). We have our own Day Z servers (vanilla and Epoch), having just re-launched our Epoch server with a new host and reset all the data we're focusing heavily on that mode. Our server isn't "clan stacked" and all our guys tend to split into smaller groups and play a lot of cooperative play (PvE and base building etc) but there's also a fair bit of PvP between teams and random lone wolves, but nothing too OTT - its all good fun. We have no silly rules or requirements, all we ask is players have a bit of common sense and that they play fair (no hacks etc). We run our own website and have a free public Teamspeak server to use for comms (anyone is welcome to join it and use it) and often have various gaming events and tournaments on Day Z for fun and giggles. Our members are based all around the world but all speak English. Anyway if you're itnerested stop by the website to find out more and get yourself on our Teamspeak and Day Z servers - addresses can be found at our website; http://www.bsbnetwork.com

Tell Me Ur Favorite Weapon In Dayz?

Im always surprised at how underused/appreciated the M16 acog are by players who are supposedly veterans of the game. We all know powerful rifles such as the M14 etc are great "people" killers, but fact is they're noisy and while more than capable of dealing with Z's they generally are more than is necessary for dealing with Zs. In my opinion the M16acog is a fantastic rifle as it's a great jack of all trades, ammo is common, range is acceptable and it's got a cracking scope for scouting, pinning hostiles (while it will undoubtedly struggle against more well equipped hostiles it does a good job of spotting, buying time and even inflicting a bit of damage at decent range. Other than that the gun I always try and get is the G36a (Epoch), red dot and acog sights, g36 and stanag mags fit it and again does a good job of everything. Also cannot live without my trusty 1911, everything else is just a toy... :D

  17. Recruiting decent folk , visit the website for more details http://www.bsbnetwork.com
  18. Thanks lads, appreciate your support. It's a stable server, good group of guys on there already and really balanced server - no over powered stuff you find on otehr servers like starting with sniper rifles and 1000+ vehicles or barracks in cherno. No, this is a good server with lots of well thought out features. We also listen to suggestions and feedback from players so please feel free to offer your feedback via our website!
  19. Just gone back to to .st after trying a few other hosts over the last few months. In my opinion .st are among the best and most straight forward hosts. Really pleased to be back with .st. However, Is it possible to get our Epoch server Object decay timer increased from 6 days to about 30? We dont have access to the hive.ini file by default...

Looking for a group to play with

  21. I prefer the mission file as it seems to run smoother and it's easier to implement and delete/edit (in my opinion) as it's just a case of adding and deleting the relevant files, rather than having to edit your database.. However, buildings in the mission file seem to have a delay loading in on server restarts (in my experience) and can often take 2-3 minutes to load in, depending upon your host, how many map additions there are, how many separate map files you have included etc. Hope this helps.

    You NEED bandits like me

Nostalgia brings rose tinted glasses. It's always been an issue, there's just more people than there was at the start so it feels like it's amplified. I was Kos for the first few weeks playing, and not just during the bean warz of cherno as more people I ran into were prepared to shoot first and ask questions later. Go search the forum back to April last year - there were lots of KoS threads back then too.
