Can anyone help? I still havent found a fix for this.

I have this exact same problem, the game runs fine, just as it did before. Ive been playing for well over a month, and about two days ago I lost sound. I can still play on servers and singleplayer, but with no sound. Ive also checked the system sound settings, and arma is turned all the way up. This is on arma 2, arma:oa, and for some reason, I can no longer launch Combined Ops from Steam. It says that the application is already running, although I get the same message even after restarting my computer, and no instance of it is appearing in task manager. Also, my drivers are all up to date.
