Never ending zombies?

[Never ending zombies?]

Hi. I was just playing taviana, and had finally found a helicopter in a small army base. I went around the back of it to be a little bit more stealthy, and started sneaking behind the buildings to get to it. However, scouting out the compound I realised there was no way for me to refuel the helicopter etc without taking out the zombies surrounding it - so leaning around the side of a building I started taking shots at them.

This is where my problem comes in: I was literally killing dozens of the zombies with my m4, and each time I thought I was done I would see a whole new batch of them spawn and run at me? How am I meant to fix up my chopper with a constant stream of zombies on my back?

So yeah in short, zombies won't stop spawning even when I'm killing them. Anyone know what's going on?

Hi everyone, i finally purchased DayZ yesterday and so far I've been having fun. Just died right now, I lasted most of today with an AK74 and 1 mag haha!

But anyway, even though I've had fun on my own, I am looking for another player who would like to team up. I don't have skype unfortunately (no mic or webcam, new desktop pc last week), but would be happy to use steam chat. Hopefully I can try out one of the other maps (Panthera maybe?)
