Your server is experiencing the debug mountain on a larger scale than I've ever seen. If you aren't the owner, give this post to him: Have you ever tried modifying your DayZ mission? Add in new towns, change spawn locations, loot tables, add more vehicles? Do any server scripts/mods (rMod, for example) show up in the logs as causing problems? Does this only happen post-death (when you respawn), or do you join the server and everyone is off-map? Have you ever had a "Hacking" incident on any level? Does anyone respawn/join as birds? Try renaming your DayZ mission to something like dayz_chernarusXXX.pbo (or what have you) and redownload the private hive files. If the server is fixed while running vanilla, then your problem is whatever you've been changing in your server.

Rocket has shown crafting so far as disinfecting stuff, and has mentioned modifying weapons like bats with nails in them. He hasn't (so far as I know) mentioned creating weapons from scratch/from other guns.

So I watched the Pax interview on the 25th... and well, Rocket excites me and we'll leave it at that. ;) What really interested me was 2 statements. 1, he mentioned a "Shock" system, in which if your "Shock" value exceeds your blood, you are knocked unconscious. 2, at extremely close range, it maybe be possible to perform a (maybe?) non-lethal buttstock bash or (probably) lethal bayonet stab. Yay! So here's my plan to get rich in DayZ without firing any bullets. Find a baseball bat, knife/hatchet/lethal weapon, motorcycle helmet, and clothes with a lot of inventory slots. Hide in a low-priority Cherno/Elektro/New City(?) building, that no one wants to enter. Bug a nearby high-priority building with a radio/listen for players. Wait for someone to walk by the building alone with their back to me. CRACK them over the head with the bat until they're unconscious, drag them into the building I was hiding in, then stab and/or hack them to death. And repeat. The Applejaxc 5-step plan for banditry success without shooting. Sneak attacks, people! If tasers are added (please, Rocket!), they'll make the 'Sneak up and knock out' step a lot easier. High-risk enemies (Lee Enfields, assault rifles, AS50s, et cetera) would crumble under my aluminum terrorizer! (bat) In the 2 weeks I spent playing BP, I did essentially this: Hide in a Firestation with a taser, tase whoever comes in, take their car, and either run them over with it or shoot them with it. Works best at night with some NVGs.

This used to happen to me a lot. Launch ArmA 2 OA without DayZ enabled from the .exe (NOT FROM STEAM), create a multi-player match (play on your own, use a pre-made mission). Then close it, and launch A2OA + DayZ without Steam. That should fix any relevant BattlEYE and loading issues. Those tactics fixed both problems for me (getting stuck + BE not initializing)

1st: Your story is highly suspect 2nd: I hate helping people like you, but I also hate not helping, so I'm going to make an incredibly almost useful reply: (Don't hold your breath) Your game's CD is saved in your registry, which can be seen via steam by right-clicking on a game, going into properties and clicking around or choosing 'View CD' or somesuch similar choice. In order to change this, you have to go into your registry, delete your ArmA 2OA/Beta values, use the new CD to register the game in Steam after uninstalling the Steam version, or install the game from the new CD after uninstalling non-Steam, and run the new version. That should give you a new CD value. Then 2 things can happen. 1: If you have it through Steam, the new CD value should have overwritten the old. If not, redelete all your registry values, create a new Steam account, and gift the game to that account. Then open the new account, run the game, close it, and gift it back. Launch again, and the new CD should be used. 2: If you don't have it through Steam, and the above didn't work, sucks to be you. I'm not responsible for any "Bad CD given in setup," "BE failed," "bla bla bla fuck you" errors you receive from failing to follow my instructions and google appropriately. Stop using cheats, et cetera. Steam used to have an issue of uninstalling the game, wiping the reg values, gifting it away-and-back changed your CD without purchasing a new copy of the game. It was used to mass-cheat God of War or some other game I don't care about all to Hell. Thankfully, it's been mostly fixed. ;)
