With the American "Liberation" of Chernarus from Russian forces, lots of military equipment came with them, and never made it home.

First of all, Rocket has already discussed this, and if it does come into the game, it won't for a LONG time; the animations and animal models are a pain in the ass in ArmA. Second, you're not keeping up with devblogs at all, are you? Rocket is going to add lots of civilian rifles and hand guns, then keep their scopes/suppressors/bayonets/etc separate, so you have to loot and attach scopes/equipment to your various weapons.

Right. Because DayZ (the mod) is totally more survival than TDM at the moment. The satchel charges aren't a satisfying way to do it, for me. You're kind of *stupid* if you run up and blow yourself up with satchel charges, when you could easily leave on in a firestation/etc and wait at a safe distance. -

Why in the hell would I want to play a game, where as soon as I log out, I lose all my progress because an NPC gets all my gear lost by being killed? I don't care if it's impossible; it's stupid. ---and no it isn't impossible. Have you played Vanilla ArmA 2? Thats exactly how joining multiplayer works; you take over an AI, and when you leave the AI takes you over. in fact, that's even how DayZ works: A bunch of AI-disabled units are placed off-map, which then get taken over and get their teleport (for first time playing), and then the server remembers your log out information, puts you in control of an AI, and teleports that unit to your last location.

Day z could have sort of a living world. Having all humans and zombies already on the map when it start and having users starting as a random human when they join the server, is impossible at least with current tech. That's already simulated?

The problem is, the more that surviving becomes difficult, the more equipment will be more valuable. Rocket is never going to hit a life-more-important point. -

That still ruins the fun. Getting killed by a bunch of bandits with Team Suck that used youtube to find glitches for hiding in walls and bushes is a fucking pain in the ass. -
Army of CR is pretty much just useful if you want to play vanilla Arma 2, which is a lot of fun. A LOT. BAF (lite) comes with ArmA 2 OA. BAF (full, which you'll get with the whole bundle) doesn't add anything to DayZ BAF doesn't, besides (maybe!) better looking guns/vehicles from BAF. Of those in DayZ, there are few. PMC (Private MIlitary Company) will make a lot of the game look better, I guess. I never found it useful to have PMC (full) instead of PMC (lite) that comes with Arma 2 OA.

No, and I honestly don't think there really ever was. I used to play 2 hours a day, 5 days a week (after school and whatnot) and the only hacker incidents I ever dealt with were on private servers. And of that, it was rare.

Hi! So this'll probably be my first suggestion post that isn't paragraphs on paragraphs of bunk. In ArmA 3, there's 3 variants on the NATO and GreenFor forces: Sleeves down, sleeves up, and worn out. They're all essentially the same, except the sleeves up have the sleeves rolled about halfway up the forearm and the "worn out" variant looks like they took a few polygons off the original and rubbed the color out. I'd like, instead of making them different outfits, to be able to roll my sleeves up and down.

Surely no, this shouldn't be a foreground of development focus. None of my suggestions should be, probably. And so what if it's two models? Rolling your sleeves up/down would switch it out on your character the way putting on a new piece of clothing would.
