    [SA] Different types of zeds

Concerned the original post, however: NO SPECIAL INFECTED!! We aren't fighting ungodly abominations from Bollywood films, and we're not playing L4D; we're playing DayZ, in which you are surviving from still-living infected who show zombie-like behavior stemming from their diseases. Thusly they can be NO MORE than human, and most realistically would be lesser than humanity in overall ability.

    [SA] Different types of zeds

No it wouldn't. You'd have an eventhandler entity (essentially a soldier spawned in editor with a 0% spawn chance) with codes this "Forallingroup" (or something like that), and then code out "this set(variable that concerns speed) (value 0-1) OR this (same thing but with a different value) OR this (same thing different value) Instead of that, the code that normally spawns different zombies could be used. Essentially you'd make 4-6 versions of zombies for each zombie skin (lowest speed to max speed), and then when the module/triggers that spawn zombies do so, it draws from a list of, say, 5 total zombie types (doctor, civilian, priest, woman, officer), within which there is fast (ie player speed) doctor, slow doctor, et cetera. Spawn "classname" OR spawn "classname" OR ---etc all the way down until all 32 zombies (or however many) are coded in to spawn.
  3. (Well obviously finding food/clothes/weapons is going to be first) Break someone's boots and jacket, tell them to have fun with pneumonia.
  4. Rocket said no more bush wookies hiding in literal bushes, as far as I know.

Can I Run DayZ Mod? (POST HERE)

None. You won't have any of the FPSs.

    Ability to remove firing pin

Yay. Because KoS isn't already a big enough reason to hate assholes online... No but seriously, you could keep 2 separate bases. One full of guns, and one full of firing pins.

    Cant play DayZ anymore?

OR install the game in the RIGHT, MANUAL fashion. Anyway the error says you're missing your CACPE "Ka52" ? Try doing a system verification check, if you have the game through Steam.

How to do the Bandit / Hero System in Standalone

1: I know. But still. TeamSuck really sucks. ;( 2. Yay civility. Because the Internet is the absolutely endless wellspring from whence it flows. :)

    Dayz Official server hiding files?

Open the loading screen in your video editor, save it at a lower color bit or something to reduce the file size.
  10. Because once they've got a sniper rifle, there's no point (to them) in collecting more stuff, but they'll still fight like hell (or combat log like pussies) to save their own sniper rifle.
  11. Point being people ARE fighting to defend their stuff. >.>
  12. If gear has no value in the mod, then why do people shoot each other to defend their camps and cars, as I said?

How to do the Bandit / Hero System in Standalone

Don't throw a fucking hissy fit because someone disagrees with you.
  14. Whatever you say, Mr. Hipster Cat... shooting in sole self defense before it was cool... Not a lot of KoS is aggressive self-defense. In fact, nearly none of it is, in the exception of seeing somewhere near your camp/running for your car.

Is duping a ban worthy? [1.8]

Unless, and in the SOLE EXCEPTIONS OF, you're either in a singleplayer game (like Skyrim, Oblivion, Fallout, etc) and have no personal qualms against it, or you are playing a cooperative game with another player who 100% agrees to condone such actions. Those are the only two cases in which you aren't a massive dick for cheating.

How to do the Bandit / Hero System in Standalone

No, for a couple of reasons. 1. KoS can be done for roleplay reasons 2. Forced clothing attire completely destroys the very point of scavengeable clothing 3. Any humanity system, no matter how airtight, will never survive online gamer's attempts to exploit and break it 4. KoS will never disappear if Teamsuck, Skype, and Steam Chat are usable; imagine how difficult coordinating your cross-map helicopter bandit raids would be without the ungodly ability to communicate from fresh spawn to everyone everywhere?

Is duping a ban worthy? [1.8]

I'd say no cheating, exploiting, hacking, and dicking around are all given rules for games, except maybe 7 Chin Gin.

    Dayz Official server hiding files?

My suggestion? Don't use scripts. Or at the very least, use less.
  19. The bad thing is that the server is extreme PvP and pay to win WHAT about that = best server??

    Any "true" dayz servers?

Doesn't really exist anymore. post 1.8 there's DMRs/M14s all over the place.

    Excessive military loot

He is but isn't. A lot of people deal with the NWAF as having a reverence it doesn't truly reserve; the only reason it's any more dangerous than Cherno/Electro is because snipers have safer sight lines.
  22. applejaxc

    Do you play dayz utes?

Lol I forgot it existed... Utes is a pretty fun map for banditry, since it's so small and there's nowhere to really hide a tent.
