Helicopters; cars aren't as satisfying to steal from and eventually crash into survivors.

I'm pretty sure weapons "In your backpack" will display strapped over your shoulder (similar to when you have your secondary out, except it will be on the opposite shoulder from your primary). I could see this being realistic with mass = display differences, I can't see it being terribly great from a coding standpoint.

Private hives are trash. They promote nothing but mismanagement, abuse by admins that's ego and sense of self-entitlement is overly inflated because they "own" the server, and they're a massive pain in the ass because 1 asshole admin can go "Welp, *hive wipe*" I've never had fun dealing with pHive administration, I never foresee it ever being a pleasant experience. It should be left to publicly-appointed members of the community (if not official staff) on official DayZ servers, where you can play any server any time with a consistent character. pHives suck.

I used to be pretty gung-ho about it, and I am for a few days every time there's a devblog, but every DayZ (mod) update makes me less and less excited to play the SA; I don't like the direction it's been going in, lately, and the lack of information pertaining the SA has left me rather indifferent.

This inspired me, when I read it a few hours earlier, to go into the public have and say (in side chat) "I'm a good pilot, do any bandits need one?" Suffice to say, I flew away with a helicopter full of jerry cans and food. The bandits weren't happy.

All post-process. He edits things like FOV, and there's a lot of scripted content (literally, written in a verbally-read script, not script-hacked in, although I wouldn't be surprised/blame him in a series like... fuck... the one with the crazy Silas guy) in some of his more special videos, but he's hack-free.

Lol. I scripted Ai to do something similar. If _player killed (bla bla bla freaking nerdy variable string tables bla bla) the the AI would break into separate groups. One would "protect" the body (so players couldn't just run back and loot), one would "Patrol" (to again make it harder for people to take their stuff back) and the other 2 would continue normal AI random waypoints. In affect one AI would lay on the dead body and the other ran in circles around him while the other 2 watched in some kind of weird, necrophilic duck-duck-goose game.

One would expect, yes. I largely found better FPS in full than otherwise.

Framerate? Not really. Visual fidelity/quality? Yes.

Change to PvP (PvE is boring as hell) and just don't be an asshole. Are there other admins on your server(s)? Tell them if you ever, ever suspect them of using their admin status as an unfair advantage in any capacity whatsoever, they will not only lose your respect as individuals, your friendship, and admin status, but they'd be permanently blacklisted and whomever they cheat-killed gets all of their stuff and the public announcement "Admin such-and-such is an asshole and banned, have a nice day :)"

I, for the life of me, don't know how to share stored pictures and I'm too lazy to fight Steam to get to my Screenshots folder to put on Photobucket. But basically, something I was trying to record for DayZ was just so... so stupid it inspired me to make my first Steam screenshot ever. Essentially it's a flipped over pick up truck, not exploded but extremely damaged, on some rocks jutting out of a hill. I was driving through the forest trying to get to the road and saw what looked like a gentle slope to the road; it wasn't. It was a fucking death trap that ended with me flipped over. My body landed perfectly at the base of the rocks, no weapons or gear on it, making the scene that much more noob-y.

What are your settings on? To my understanding "High" and better uses the GPU more effectively than "Medium" and lower, which uses the CPU (albeit not very well). So if your settings are low, try turning them up? ...and why do you have the game on a USB? (that shouldn't impact FPS in any way; only load time when you launch ArmA)

No. Your story is literally WHATEVER THE FUCK YOU WANT IT TO BE. The website gives you the idea it's about zombies in Chernarus. That's it.
