Weapon sway and RMB - something is broken

Will we eventually get different reloading 'tiers'?
applejaxc replied to spensah's topic in General Discussion
Unrelated as in the two things that I discussed within my own post were supposed to be read in individuality, not in total. I'm not even talking about whatever the hell suggestions you've made. -

Unrelated as in I was addressing two different issues with the original post, now buried under misunderstandings. -

They are unrelated topics. I was commented that backpack access would be cool if your character actually accessed his backpack, and that I dislike the ability to easily load ammunition under the system currently in place. -
Ballistic helmet, gas mask, "Healthy" tag in inventory. No one is safe from the zombie 1-hit.
-
What about the server requires this extra-special launcher? I've never heard of it before. Is it a special variety of Epoch? If it isn't, you should trust the DayZCommander; 99% of everyone here seems to endorse it.

I'm not talking about the SKS. As long as you have to open your inventory, look for your ammo, and put it in the weapon, that's great. I'm talking about the M4 or any of the pistols that can be reloaded via context menu. -

I'd like to see backpack usage more like Last of Us, where you crouch, unsling it, and rifle through it with your focus on the ground (but with some peripheral perception). But no, it should be more difficult to reload than it currently is. -

Immersion and difficulty. An inventory-only reload system promotes careful inventory management and forces players to think critically about where they want to put their most important items -
Would have been better with dinosaurs

People need to Do This Stuff More Often
applejaxc replied to over9000nukez's topic in General Discussion
I used to play on a private hive in the MOD with someone who went by the name of "Bigdickgranny," who to this day I still hate with an acute passion. He was obnoxious, used side chat too much (well, at all is too much but you know what I mean) and in general was a dick. He spent most of his time between Elektro and Cherno and did not respect boundaries; I very clearly defined (between all the dead bodies and razorwire fences) that the under-construction building at the edge of Chernogorsk was mine and I would shoot first ask questions later when it came to intruders. I often found him trying to take things from my two storage tents and eventually decided enough was enough. One day I came downstairs, cracked him with a fireaxe (knocking him unconscious) and, after bandaging his wounds and blood bagging him, I loaded him into my helicopter and flew into the debug forest. I hovered until he regained consciousness, told him to bail (he did) and flew home. As far as I know, his parachute landed in the debug forest and he never got out. It was a good day. Never saw him at my base again. -

1. I would like to see reloading dry take an extra second or so to chamber a new round 2. I still advocate completely disabling the ability to reload via a keystroke or context menu -
I absolutely support him. Just kidding your parents should be ashamed

He needed 20 bullets to kill you? I think you've really become one with the boar. -
What is the rarest item you have ever found in DayZ?
applejaxc replied to trimpampano's topic in General Discussion
A player that didn't kill on sight. jk I'm still looking for one of those... -

The who? And I wait for the rage... -
Except for the fact that it's a Makarov. There should still be plenty of malfunctions.

The map is too small for 40 people.

-wasn't a typo-

Obviously it makes it fun for someone if they're doing it.

Do you have a date for those quotes? I don't remember the validity of my own sources, but to me it makes sense if it's an issue that increases in severity with higher population. Have they at least made rabbits stop moaning like zombies? That used to scare the shit out of me.

Possibly map notes unique to the individual map?
applejaxc replied to VoltySquirrel's topic in Suggestions
I'm sorry it was too tempting. But yes that is true, enough people either memorize the map or use skill supplements to circumvent the in game map altogether. It's a lot safer and faster to have a print out of the map near your PC; when looking at it, you can still see everything in front of your character.
