1: VSS Vintorez would be a Bandit's (thus, an asshole's) dream. I wouldn't want to see it-unless it had a more AK-style stock or something so it didn't look like a child's toy. 2: The G18 (full-auto version), like any machine pistol, is terrible. Jamming, inaccurate... et cetera.

1: The FN FAL already has a scope... get the thermal/NV version? 2: I LOVE the FN FAL's iron sights. I'd use the Lee Enfield more often if it had them. 3: Waffles

That's not true. There are two version of the M24, one used by the USMC (7.62) and the one used by the US Army (.30-06)

1: You dismissed all three of the weapons I expected to be down voted in one post. You get this hamburger (||) 2: I just figured a civilian weapon with a new ammo type would help diversify the game. 3: In the US, for example, you can purchase an AR15 or AK as a semi-automatic. 4: Military spawn rates in general need to be nerfed. I don't like walking out of the NW airfield with a M14 + a DMR and 15 magazines of ammo to split between them. That is RIDICULOUS! Not to mention the ghillie suit, NVGs, 2 grenades, and a satchel charge. :) More civilian weapons would help rationalize/make up for reduced military gear spawning considerably. Now if I can just sign into European servers that weren't full of bandits that have AS50s anyway... I was originally going to include the Russian Destroyer (I don't know it's Russian name) and the Australian AMR, or a Greek AMR. I'm personally a big fan of the Finnish anti-take rifle that breach-loads like a shotgun/artillery battery and fires 20 mm rounds...

I'd have to disagree. The G17 is ALL ergonomics. You can ORDER a G17 with a silencer/stock/whatever, but you cannot modify one easily. It's a giant piece of plastic that shoots small pieces of metal. That's the main reason I don't like the G series of pistols... you literally get what you pay for. HOWEVER, yes, I'd like to see a large list of attachments-but the title of the article is "Weapons I want to see" :) I'd like to see a laser and a IR-only laser (although they'd both be useless and only help other players see you)... but imagine this: You're bored in the dead of night and see a zombie. You flash a light and he chases it. Instant cat-and-laser game. When he gets it, you turn it off and he shambles off to go tell Mom and Pa what he did today. Maybe a Hornet light? (I don't know what the real designation is, I just know Hornet is a company that makes them). It's basically a floodlight on the bottom of your gun that flashes on/off side/side really fast, like a super Rave party light, used in night-time raids on buildings. It blinds and scares the hell out of whatever is in 30 feet/looking at you, and anything inside 15 will be hard-pressed to guess what the center of the giant white/blue wall is before you've shot them. It could also be used to signal SoS to helicopters. It'd probably attract every zombie from Cherno to the west mountains and back, though.

The Lupua, out of all the sniper rifles in DayZ, would be my 2nd choice in real life; semi-automatics don't have the same proven reliability and service record of bolt-actions. The .338 magnum was designed for a rifle designed for counter-terrorism. If I had an epic zombie-proof base and all the material required, I'd choose the M24 and convert it between .30-06 and 7.62, depending on what kind of ammo I had around. -

Then you have to open the dayz.pbo and sync the vehicle to a trigger. Name the vehicle A. Trigger condition: "A damage 100" Create an invisible H or some other object on the spawning location, named B. Activation: "Spawn -vehicle ID, A- pos C" Of course, because ArmA 2's scripting engine is very ... eh... complex/advanced, it takes a lot more than just that. -

DayZ has no "Hax." There is no "1337 h4x1ng" involved in cheating in DayZ. It's a manner of running scripts from the client that the server then uses. Can you hit shift + P without getting kicked from your server? That *should* open the dialogue for inputting live scripts. Then you'll have to do a, "getpos Unit," "Spawn -ID of vehicle-, pos Unit" or some other complicated coding line. -
I play on a lot of private servers for my DayZ youtube stuff and normal DayZ when I'm shooting the piss. They're both in the 5-15 minute range.

I didn't say the 1 hour wait time has been a recent thing, just that it isn't unusual. :) I personally can join servers in around 15 minutes, maybe 30 if it's a fresh character.

You've had about 4/7 of the problems I had with starting DayZ. I don't mind helping you :) Hmm... try verifying your game cache for ArmA 2. Are you launching ArmA CO or ArmA 2 OA? The way I play is a put everything in "Addons" and 1 other folder from ArmA 2 into ArmA 2 OA's "addons" folder so when I launched the beta, it was the beta patch, all of ArmA 2 OA's content, then it loaded ArmA 2 like it would a mod, then it loaded DayZ.

DayZ servers are a GIANT pain in the arse, mate, I'm sorry to say. 1 hour to join is not unheard of-11 is unusual. Make sure you have the latest beta patch/the same version as the server, the same version of DayZ as the server, and do NOT install any mods that do not include a .bikey; BattlEye auto-rejects mods that haven't been Bohemia cleared so no one has a "addon" that secretly makes them invincible or can fly or whathaveyou. I remember the first days of ArmA 2, when mods weren't BattlEye checked. THOSE were the days... :)

1: I like how you call getting a bandit skin "Unlocking" like it's an achievement... 2: Your humanity slowly reaches equilibrium. IE, if you're a "Hero" but don't do any healing for 5 days (for example), you go back to survivor. -
