1: It's a waist if you put too many bullets into someone, or more than is required. For most primary guns, 1 or 2 bullets = a kill, or at least a knockout, and the only sidearm that can fire full-auto (PDW) isn't excpetionally accurate. You gave no hint or suggestion that you were joking.

Why don't you find one yourself? They're both 1-hit kills, and you're armed well enough to face the Air Field. Instead of cheating through this meta-game bullcrap system, how about you actually play and get one? And why would you give up a M14 at all, unless you were running out of ammo? They're both great guns. You want to shoot someone and take their FAL.

*'merica ... and yeah, explosives are fun. I once put 2 satchel charges in a firestation for lols. I set the timers for 30 seconds each, then heard gunfire. I ran away out of fear, as I was unarmed (yes, I had 2 bombs but didn't find any guns. go figure) The three bandits that shot at me all ran into the fire station. I left Chernogorsk with a bullet wound and an AK47.

If anything, the SA should run better than the mod; now that the engine used is modified, things can be optimized to improve the game experience. 1. How is it a silly question? Not all hardware is made with Laptops in mind, and vice-versa. 2. How is an i7 a willy-nilly purchase, and how is the release of SA definitive of a good and bad purchase? The higher GHz is only going to help him. The only thing a better motherboard can hurt is his wallet, but the jump from an i5 to an i7 is tiny 3. Where do you come from/live? I, and the people I live around, have no problem with the word swell; in fact, they find the use of "Swell" just swell in the everyday.

Is this a laptop or desktop (it's important)? Go with an i7. For the love of God, just buy an i7! That graphics card is a swell choice.

For the most part if I'm winded/bleeding/starving/anything is happening that results in shaky aim, I change to burst fire and pray. For the most part, it works.

That's happened to me. My first A3 gunfight against a target that had the first shot was pathetic... Me and 2 friends were running over a hill towards on objective, when one of my friends goes down. Selfishly I ran back over the crest of the hill and dropped prone instead of helping my friend. My other friend went down, so I crouched to figure out where he'd been shot from. Turns out the guy was about 10 feet away from me, reloading a magazine. I emptied 30 rounds at basically point blank and lost.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SvMkRwmKHeE The VERY VERY best possible thing you can do for yourself in DayZ is to uninstall DayZ (or if you used a @DayZ mod folder, take the shortcut off of steam) and play the Arma 2 OA campaign, download some scenarios/mission online and play those, then play multiplayer for a few days. I've never met a successful player in-game that hasn't either played ArmA 2 OA to the max or Battlefield 3 (not that BF3 and A2 are the same game). I had 110 hours clocked in for Operation Arrowhead alone and I hardly (if ever) lose a gunfight in DayZ on a low-ping server. Speaking of which, don't play private servers; the admins are assholes and will kill you. Never play a server of higher than 100 pings.

Did I say putting a video on youtube makes me a pro? Did I say they're a pro because of uploading to youtube? No. They are pros, and Frankie happens to upload. I was describing them as pro, and saying where you can go to catch evidence of their proness. Sorry if I come off rude; I respect and appreciate all submissions. I'm just trying to learn and help, if I can. And I'm "Awfully cocky" because I rarely die in DayZ. I'm not the best, but I've yet to meet anyone in-game that's better than me. (Of course I haven't met Frankie, Black Widow, or any of the other pros)

1: I've never fought *anyone* in DayZ with half the ability or mental capacity to pose a legitimate challenge; usually whoever shoots first wins, because I haven't seen them or they haven't seen me. 2: No, waist of ammo; I don't spray-and-pray or suppress; I shoot to kill, and hardly miss.

That's a waist of ammo; you can get the same affect without wasting ammo on semi-automatic. In fact, the only time I'd even change to burst is +200m against a running target so I don't lead too far and into crowds of zombies when I want to drop them quickly.

It seems we've had different experiences :) But yes, the bicycle makes really awkward turns that often result in crashes, break your legs, and wreck their tires immediately, but if you don't bring them into cities, poor handling *should* be a non-issue. I don't use my vehicle's headlights at night unless I'm behind someone and don't want to run them over/don't want to go offroad. I'll flash them and say hi, and if they're in NVGs/shooting at me, I'll flash them again and speed up.

I was comparing a zombie to your sister, to be accurate :) The M203 flare isn't like the road flare; it doesn't sit and burn for 10 minutes. It's more like making a light show, if the light burned out almost immediately. You might as well have a bunch of flare slugs in your shotgun. They're pretty, but pointless :) I know exactly how you feel. I've never met a German, Russian, or Australian player that didn't shoot at me at some point. I love you, and everyone on this thread. Even DaveZ....well, maybe not DaveZ.
