Are all "H4x0rs"that bad? When is it okay to cheat, and when isn't it? I've met some real jerks in DayZ, of the "Hacking" variety; auto-kicked when you shoot them, mass-server-kill (of course I quit the server before dying), nuking Elektro/Cherno, spawning in 1000 zombies and a helicopter to escape on, being teleported into the ocean... et cetera. I've seen it all, on youtube or through personal experience. And it's annoying. I bring this up for 2 reasons: 1: I was recently playing, and a hacker joined. He gave everyone (I'm assuming) 2 AI teammates. It was... odd. Very odd. Kind of fun. They killed a few zombies, before I shot them; I didn't want to run around with Hackbot 1 and Hackbot 2 at my disposal. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SiyXWKr9jBE 2: I used to play with xPenguin, a good friend who I've made a few youtube videos with. He likes to make machinima videos, and did a series in DayZ following the story of Jack Carver (No, not the Jack Carver from Far Cry 1, 2, and Instincts Evolution). It was fun, and it made me cry... but in order to do it, they had to do admin-side script commands to disable zombies for some shots, or spawn in stuff if they accidentally died while recording and needed a "Redo." At one point they created an entire town in the north-west after burning a forest down in order to do an episode that involved cannibals. Well after this episode was recorded (about 5 months ago?), some little spit-fire pinprick starting bawling, "YOU ARE A HACKER YOU HACKER BLAMAMAMAMAMAMA." We explained to him,very carefully, and said at the beginning/end of every episode, "This is a private server and all the cheats are done for the sake of content quality." Instead, xPengiun received a global BattlEYE ban. He went to BattlEYE support, emailed them a manuscript of the youtube comments/the video and explained, carefully, that he was not cheating or using cheats to incite cheating on servers other than his own, which he operated on his own, and had the permission of the players therein. BattlEYE support told him they were very sorry for the false accusation, but there was nothing they could do to lift the ban. He hasn't played DayZ since :(

I like the K-Bar, scares away humans. I like the crowbar, because it breaks skulls without itself breaking. I can't vouch for the Mossberg. Make sure you don't use .22 Plinking or rimfire... in fact, I would never trust a .22 to pierce anything more than skin. I've been hunting with .22LR before and I couldn't kill a crow in three shots to the chest. And the Tar-21. Beautiful gun. When you need the best in counter-terrorist CQC weapons, you can always turn to IDF American-Israeli weapons.

Hi. So I was reviewing the various parts of the human reproductive system (for Biology) and starting thinking about micro molecules and the human immune system. Because I don't want a bunch of tl;dr responses, I'll keep this short and non nerdy. When you body is afflicted by a disease, antibodies and memory cells form in your body. Memory cells form a kind of "Mold" and replicate, and use this mold to identify the cause of the disease in case the bacteria or virus that so caused it is reintroduced into the body, post-disinfection. Because your body develops more and more of these molds, if you will, diseases that you are introduced to several times become easier and easier to fight, until you acquire immunity. What does this mean in DayZ? I would like to see positive health choices (fresh vegetables, cooked meat, et cetera) and fighting off a disease help you develop a % benefit to fighting off diseases. IE, if you gain 5%+ vs the common cold, and there's a 98% of catching the CC by drinking dirty water, you instead of a 93% chance. PROS Rewards better character managment Realistic Help you develop your alter-ego "Survivalist pro" CONS Rewards players who can play more often than others Spammable; even if the % you gain is horribly slow, someone sitting in an Elektro hospital on an empty server can drink water and pop meds over and over again until they're near-/immune to disease Long-surviving "Pros" would quickly lose the threat of disease, which is one of the reasons Rocket added it in the first place Give more reasons to play on empty servers

So I logged into DayZ last night, onto a low-population server (literally, 4 players) because anything >30 players was giving me 400+ ping. I didn't think it would be a big deal. I promised myself I wouldn't loot the airfields or the hospital on low-pop servers a while ago because I'm so regal on my high horse. I really didn't want to do this. Keep in mind, the following story takes place in the span of half an hour. So I'm in Elektrovdsk, checking the firehouse. I find an 2 AKMs, and between their loot piles, 5 magazines of ammo. Fantastic day. Couldn't have been happier. I equip it, load, and head out of the station, when the little bastard blue text shows up on my screen, meaning some prick was in the side chat. And by prick I mean squeaker. And by squeaker I mean child below the age of 12. "Who da fak is shootin' in 'lektro? That ain't bloody kind of ye mate!" British or Irish or Australian or something. I don't know. "Fuk u u little nigglet bastard!" African descent of some sort. "I'll fuck you both in the fucking mouth if you don't shut the fucking fuck up you fucks!" Wannabe-ghetto white child. "Hey, that isn't appropriate language. Please stop using side chat." Admin that didn't know how to kick. By the second speaker, I facepalmed. I listened, and sure enough there was a CZ550 being fired near me. I didn't care who was shooting who or why; there's no reason for such language coming out of 3 children's mouths. So I go running in that direction. This is what I come across: Dozens of dead zombies surrounding a crashed motorbike, being defended by someone with (presumably) broken legs and a CZ550. Across the street there's the first speaker, hiding behind a fence with a Makarov or Glock. Admin is driving a car down the street. Ghetto Boy is laying on the roof near them. So as the car comes blazing down the street, a M107 round tears through the engine. The driver bailed and got knocked away with an explosion, but didn't die until I shot him with the AKM. Mr Cz550 goes crazy, shooting in my direction without aiming, or he just really sucked. Mr M107 starts spamming at me, blowing chunks in the ground everywhere. I run around the fence, and the one with the pistol started shooting at me. Everyone (but the dead admin) is screaming some of the WORST profanities I've ever dealt with in DayZ. The only person to hit me (thank the *insert religious icon*) was the one with the shoddy pistol. I shoot my way into the hospital and loot to bandage myself. Pretty soon I come out (not pursued, apparently) and start heading back when M107 ghetto says, "Hey, I'm gonna quickscop yer shit you fuck." I kid you not. This idiot jumped off a roof, spun in a circle twice, and emptied a magazine of M107. Every single shot almost hit me. Scared the piss out of me. Then he landed, breaking his legs and knocking him unconscious. CZ550 starts crawling towards me with his pistol out, shooting and missing. I tried to shoot him and missed; the AKM broke the legs of Mr. Pistol instead. Night switches on, and I back off. Then I think, should I kill these assholes, or...? No, better! I lit a flare and dropped it on them. 2 sets of broken legs couldn't escape the light of a flare in the zombie apocalypse.

So I'm playing DayZ. I like to be the strong-silent, loner-survivalist type, right? Well I find this kid (literally; at the most 10 years old) on the edge of a firefight. He doesn't shoot me, so I kill the bandit shooting at him (missing at point blank. The idiot). I fix the child's legs, then kill a bunch of zombies. He goes Justin Beiber fangirl on me. It was endearing, and annoying. Like... I wanted to punch a baby kitten in the uterus, he was so annoying. Being the hero I was, instead of shooting him, I let him follow me into... ugh... I don't know the names of Namalsk cities. Anyway: So we go in together. He's got a fireaxe, and I've got a FAL. He gets hit a lot, I do most of the killing and bandaging. He was useless. Every time I did something, he was like "Oh my god that was so cool" or "I wish I was as good as you." It made me feel good, sure, and my ego grew ten sizes, but... SHUT UP! His voice, coupled with a bad microphone... ugh... I was nice though. I kept my cool. Some bandits start shooting at us, so we book it for my truck. He got there first. I combat-rolled over a fence to get to my car, and hit him. It pushed him into the truck, which shot him into the air. The CZ doesn't have an incredible track record. :) Common misconception; the Ak47 will act like crap if it is treated like crap, and will act like well-polished crap if taken care of. Inaccurate past 30 yards, very distinctive, loud noise... Firing an AK47 would be like ringing a dinner bell that could jam.
