I traded with a dude just recently, gave him a M4A1 CCO SD with a few mags with an alice pack, jerry can and some other small stuff for a Coyote backpack and a tent. I figured I would be losing out a little bit, but when I got the backpack he said he left me some goodies. Next thing I know I just traded all my stuff for a tent and a coyote backpack loaded with an AS50 and 6 full Nato magazines and a bunch of other great stuff. Great guy. Still probably won't use the AS50 simply cuz I suck at sniping and never find anyone to kill at range, but you never know. My question is, Now that I got this killer gun with lots of higher quality ammo for it, what should I trade it for? I was thinking maybe an FN FAL with a few mags and some NVGs for a OHK night-vision long range assault rifle :3 but tell me what you think would be better.

scratch what I said above, thats on a private server and it is a one-off by Rinaun.com, which you probably aren't on (derp). So I got my first (confirmed) kill against another person (I helped with another kill before but I wasnt sure if it was me or not) and found myself some great stuff. In total I now have: A heli rotor part (found that before) An AKS-74 Kobra with 4 Magazines A M4A1 CCO SD (it may be M4A3, havent had time to check, it does have camo) with around 3-3 1/2 mags (some are partially used) a G17 with 4 M9 Mags a wide variety of tools (including binoculars) a Jerry Can and I forget whether I still have a Tank Trap or an M67 Frag The murdered dude's buddy made off with my bicycle I think, can't find it so I am beholden to no server now! I am willing to trade some of the stuff there for: a tent another bicycle or low value vehicle maybe some ammo for whichever gun you don't take (preferably wanna keep the M4, but if it is worth it, maybe) a Coyote backpack (note: I don't have to get ALL of that, just mix and match whatever you got!) depends on the situation, here's the list of my faves, in order from top to bottom: CQ: Bizon PP-19 SD (Its equivalent to baby jesus on a pterodactyl, but ammo is shithard to find) Remington 870 Torch (I can kill a guy at 70 yards with pellets, which is about the most range you would use an SMG anyways, and it is still a one-shot kill compared to the M104's 2 shot kill and no flashlight) PDW (can take a LOT of different ammo [M9, M9SD, G17, PDW Mag (rare as fk, found by PDW only), MP5 Mag, MP5SD mag] and doesnt take your weapon slot, leaving you free for other tasks) FN FAL (one-shot kill but you will probably have to find a crash site every 5 seconds due to smaller magazine sizes and rarity of magazines) Long Range: M24 (Accurate, not the best damage in the world but ammo is plentiful between M24 and DMR ammo you can convert) DMR (just cuz of night vison and ammo is plentiful between DMR and M24 you can convert) M14 (Ok, I know it is a battle rifle techically and should be used at medium range, but I can still hit guys at the same range of a DMR with a binoculars and the spacebar :3 ) CZ 550 (seems like a retarded thing to put here but got my first kill with one so it deserves a place) The reason I didn't list the M107 or AS50 are simply because of how damn rare they are, only ever found an m107 once naturally and it was off a dude at NW who just picked it up, never found ammo for it untill I died. The DMR is ok, it just requires a little more skill to use the mildots at a longer ranges. Now if only we could perform melee moves like breaking people's necks

Last time some dude tried to pull it dirty on me like that in the NW airfield fire station tower got a clip of M4 CCO SD to the balls. unfortunately, I think his buddy got away with my bike, but I am after him next! THAT is why you stay back and snipe at midrange then collect the garbage, because you run less risk when killing others.

I got a heli rotor set (never gonna find a chopper to use for it :l ) an AKS-74 Kobra and 4 mags, a G17 and 5 M9 mags, and I could use a coyote backpack, tent and a decent amount of STANAG SD ammo (preferably a backpack and tent) or any combo of items listed.

So I have recently (just two days ago) started using the DayZ singleplayer addon because my internet has gone down the crapper (my dad took us from AT&T 4G LTE to HughesNet satellite, AKA the Shitternet), so I haven't been on a MP server since like 4 days ago, when we were at our other place that has better internet. The game worked fine then, but then I installed SP DayZ two days ago, and just today I tried to get on a server and it says I have been global banned. Does single player or the built-in cheats within SP cause global bans, or is it BattlEye being a dick cuz I found some hacker's scripted weapons (AS50 Thermal) and killed like 20 zombies and a player with it? Thanks. (Edit: the AS50 Thermal incident was a LONG time ago, like 2 or 3 weeks ago, so unless it was a SERIOUSLY delayed ban, I highly doubt that was it) (Edit 2: there is also the possibility of CD-Key theft but I haven't ever done anything to my game other than SP)

So, my computer is freaking out on me about every now and then, killing my DayZ install in the process and making me do some random crap to make it work. This time around it is that Combined Ops can't be run, it says: The game is currently unavailable (Application running) as a steam message every time I try to boot Arma 2: CO. This is a manual install of DayZ to my steam files, no Play withSix or DayZCommander included. I think it has something to do with a new release of the beta patch which might have screwed it up, but I don't know (it jumped from like build #97771 [somewhere in there] to somewhere around #98524). What can I do to fix this issue, preferably without using Sixupdater or Commander? I like my steam overlay for DayZDatabase :3. Thanks for the help! (P.S. I have tried verifying my Cache, all it does is want to say one file is missing and that it will be reacquired, which when I go to run the basic game, just OA it re-installs the file and then dies again, refusing to fix CO. I am guessing I have to do a fresh re-install of OA, or both? Thanks again!) Well, my original problem is left semi to completely unsolved. I still can't play Combined Ops, but it now turns out I can attempt to run DayZ without Combined ops by running it through regular OA. Not sure if that is a bug or not. It also refuses to update OA to the beta patch I need to play DayZ, so still pretty much at ground zero. Sucks, might be forced to reinstall.

Also, you may have not seen the edit I just did to my previous post. Are these beta patches backwards compatible? (AKA, should I get the latest one, or the exact one the game calls for?) Also, I don't think the beta updater recognises where my Steam Folder is, and I have learned from experience that if you move the steam folder it corrupts it. Can I change the beta install path?

We can't because of two reasons: A. It is not Valve's game, its an outside programmer putting their game on steam for sale B. It is a mod. By definition, they are not responsible for anything that happens if you mod the game and it goes wrong. The best they can do to help is let you uninstall and reinstall the game.

I have the launch parameters set up for the shortcut and it does not seem to work, but running plain old OA seems to boot up DayZ anyhow (although it wont let me on any servers, says Bad Version) I assume the final steps is to update OA to the new beta? It says in the server select menu that I am running on 1.62 when I need 1.62.97771. Should I get that, or the latest one? (98148)

Well, that sorta-kinda worked. It now loads Combined Ops but it didnt load the mod, so now what? Do I need to reinstall the DayZ mod? ALSO, when it loads Combined Ops, it says Arma 2 in the top right corner, Arma 2 and Arma 2 OA in the bottom left. It says nowhere that it actually loaded Combined Ops. Finally, in the expansion tab of the menu, it DOES list @DayZ there, and it is checked, but it does not load it (so it detects it, it just doesnt load it). Now what? (P.S. OK! I am gonna try this later today, if this works then THANK GOD (and you, of course). Yes I use Steam 64x, but yes I did install on my second backup drive cuz it's MUCH bigger for all my steam games. my Steam path straight to Arma 2 is something like: F:\Steam\steamapps\common\Arma 2 or F:\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead but do I HAVE to cut the addons folder from the regular Arma 2, or can I just copy? Will that ruin my original game, or will it just redownload the missing folder? Also, does this actually fix Combined Ops, or does it just circumnavigate it and go straight to DayZ without the game, leaving me with my issue? Thanks!
