I've been playing for a couple of weeks on CPC gamings Private Chernarus. Good bunch of folks and they have a dedicated Mumble server. Some custom work done so far includes a reworked NE airfield and a grocery in Kamarovo. More map edits are in the works I think and there is going to be a weapons revamp deployed shortly to make 50 cal snipers much more rare. The AS50 will turn into the G36 and the M16A2 M203 will become an M40. There is a rework of how the M107 spawns that will make it extremely rare. Sniping will be sill a big part of PvP..it'll just make for much fewer 1-shot kills.

I don't think it was. It was CPCgamings public Chernarus server. After the reboot with wiped out everything, I heard from other players that it was a complete reset. All vehicles and tents were gone. So CPC has a private hive and their own Mumble channel and I've been running around with some of those guys for a few days now. They said they don't really mess with that public hive server and will likely not keep it up. I'm having fun on the private server and have a car and some good gear. Life is good again.

Private hive is the way to go. Many have admins that can help if you are hosed by a glitch. Some are adding custom buildings and such that add to the experience. And best of all better script-kiddie response and no ghosting.

In what can only be described as "irony in it's purest form"....a server reboot wiped out everything. Vehicles tents...all I had after the reset was what I had on me. But wait....the irony doesn't stop there...I had landed the heli on the roof of the Imperial Hotel. So after the reboot I had to suicide off the roof....and to cap it all off I didn't land on the ground. I died on another lower roof.

Ok, I normally wouldn't do this but this is too good not to share. So I've been playing on a public hive server for a couple of days. This morning I log on and there is only one other on the server with me. I was about to get a tire for a car I found the day before and I was typing in side chat with the guy and a zed ran up and broke my leg. I had no morphine case a guy stole my other car the night before so I had to crawl 2k to a hospital. That is the only bad part of the day and it got waaaaaayy better. After I get the morphine I get a tire and fix the car. I decide to drive the the NWAF and on the way I find a heli crash with a set of NVG's That alone would have made my day. At the NWAF the only good gun I see is a M4A3 CCO, which is a spare cause I already have two others stahsed in tents. After visiting all the spawn points I decide to run back through the hangars cause there were a lot of empty spots. BOOM! Coyote Backpack. So I jump in the car and head up so see if the Ural is at it's spawn point in the NW and also the heli spawn.. No luck there so I decide to just run around the area keeping an eye out for white dots. Yep, there's one and whadaya know, it's a camp with a truck, an ATV and a heli, all green and in great shape. So I take off and enjoy a bit of joy-flying. I see a guy log on and I say hello and tell him about my good luck. He seems pretty cool so I tell him I'll pick him up. On the way I see another heli crash site....I say "hang on lemme check this". I find an AS50! I'm thinking no way could this luck keep going like this. So back in the heli, And there's another heli crash, and another AS50 and a DMR. So I go pick the guy up and we head back to the NWAF, and I find a GPS and a M24 in the Firehouse. I'm on this server for about 3 days now and am geared to the teeth with a heli. I should probably go buy a lottery ticket.

Wow..the guys is boasting about cheating. What more would you want or need? Let the BAN HAMMER FALL!!

I have to vote yes as well. The idea of it's use is a good one but in it's current state the item needs to go.

I don't believe so Medic. Also, I'd like to mention a couple of things about 1037. It does have a side channel chat. The admins would appreciate it if players kept it free of profanity and abusive/offensive language. Warnings are given and boots will follow if ignored. There are several regular players on this server not-including the admins. Many have vehicles but by no means are there vehicle hoarders. Vehicles are there and just need some parts to get running. Point being, for new players logging on to 1037 for the first time: The best thing to do would be to play smart, and be courteous. Don't log on and immediately start spamming side channel asking for rides. On public servers that'll typically get you murdered and you should employ the same cautious attitude here until folks get to know you a bit. We're trying to build a fun server for folks that can play on without having to deal with script-kiddies. Want to be a bandit? Bring it! We love to mix up a little PvP now and then. Shooting on-sight is not going to get you in hot-water with the admins, but if you see someone and they don't see you, you can speak to them in the direct communication channel if you want to announce yourself. If you get killed or sniped, be mature and accept that this is a part of the game. It took me a while to understand that and not rage at being murdered. To be honest, I think I have the most fun when I have nothing and am looking to gear myself up again. When I'm all pimped out I'm almost afraid to move alone for fear of losing all my hard-earned gear LOL.

Been on this server for a few days now. Lot's of vehicles, side chat, and best of all....hax and scripts are dealt with quickly. The admins review logs regularly so if you get away with it once, you'll still get the ban-hammer in a day or so. Check this one out if you want to play on a legit server with much less B.S. than you see on the public hive.

I popped into US#01 for a bit a couple of weeks ago. I've started a new job and haven't had much time for gaming but I can't wait to get back to DayZ and this server.
