There are a lot of new things that I am really enjoying, and have once again been sucked into the Dayz vortex. One thing I really like is that there are a lot more lootable buildings and new areas to explore. I think it really adds more depth to exploration, even for veterans who are familiar with the map. Also love the new zombies and just how far they will come to get you.

Feedback is important to developers, after all who are they developing for?

I am dissapointed in the way this has been handled by some of the members of the "community" that we are all supposed to be part of. In my opinion it doesn't matter that they changed the cans in the game, and yes I believe the developers should get the respect and credit they deserve, but the communities opinions should be welcomed and acknowledged whether they are negative or positve towards the change. If you are unhappy with some changes to a mod that you LOVE and you are part of community that prides itself upon community input and suggestions (alot of community suggestions have influenced the SA), why shouldn't you be able to voice your concerns and have a healthy discussion or debate about what plagues you? Is it fair that when you voice your opinion (which is as valid as another other community member) that you have people call you whiny brats etc.? Any calm, well thought out and resonable arguements or opinions should be treated as an important part to this forum and community. Afterall we are all here because we love and support the game.

Remove... anything that makes the game more challenging is a good thing in my opinion. The idea that it should be kept for new players is wrong in my opinion. Being a new player and having to work hard to achieve your goals is a great thing and I envy new players as they have that experience that is hard to recreate once you become familiar with a game.

Im pretty sure your right, I have also seen servers that do a day/night rotational cycle, offerering some thing different to the players that join the server at the same time each day. In my opinion you should try either of these before you make it 24/7 daylight. :)

Had the same issue with Taviana, I re-installed the old patch and then downloaded the new one again, seem to fix it. Good Luck :)

Well I am not much help, but here's one thing that plagued me and took a while to figure out... I tend to download alot of things, movies, docos and some programs. Recently I must have downloaded something that included a program called Download Beast, it didn't appear anywhere in my computer but I had unusual processes running, so I googled it and found out it was this program and I had to jump through a few hoops to get it off my computer. It made a MASSIVE difference to my fps after I ridded it. PS: People prob haven't replied because the forums get alot of these questions, hope you figure it out :)

I totally agree with OP because it's a mod, and like you say, once you get all geared up and you don't want to hunt other survivors... what do you do? I think this is the main reason there is a huge divide with PvE and PvP players at the moment. I was originally introduced to this game as a survival, fps mod, but when I first began I only wanted to enjoy the PvE side of the game, just to get used to the game and the map. It wasn't long before the PvE side of it bored me, as it wasn't a challenge anymore and started to crave encounters with other players, whether friendly or not. I now think that the PvP aspect of the game is the only "thrilling" part (except in DayZ+) as it's just to easy to gain everything you need to survive. I suggest becoming a Bandit hunter if you are looking for something to do, if not I have high hopes for the SA bringing some new challenges to the table :)

Wow, all these amazing pics and you are concerned about the hairstyle? I hope they let you shave your hair if anything, otherwise a tight bun is the other best option in a Zombie Apocalypse. I think this game is not focused around appearance rather than practicality and we may feel lucky to even have boots. I also hope they don't take anything from the Walking Dead Game as it was a pile of crap (coming from a huge WD fan). Not meaning to flame you, it just seems like such an unimportant part of the game. I personally love the look and style of of the environment they have chosen and shouldn't be ripping off Walking Shit games or any others.

Correct me if I am wrong but have you played before? You only started an OP ten minutes after this to see if its worth buying Arma II for the mod or waiting for the SA, so you do you even own the game or mod? Not putting a downer on what you are saying, because it is a great Mod etc etc.. I am just confused as you were asking if its worth it, but thank them for a great game. Doesn't that answer your question that the mod is worth it... Btw please imagine this in the nicest possible voice as you are only allowing niceness on this thread.

I'm not even going to say anything about starting a new topic for this... sure someone else will. To the best of my knowledge SA will be using Arma II as a platform and may even use Arma III, so yes you will need a good computer to get the most out of the game. Please some one correct me if I'm wrong :)
