It's pretty hard to get rid of zombies, you gotta be smart - run into a building with a back exit and then quickly leave it, they're gonna lose you. And some servers do have Mumble, not all of them though.

Yeah, I've searched a solution for your problem and I couldn't find a exact solution for it, try updating your patch, doing what I said: running Arma 2 and Arma 2:OA separately before running Arma 2:CO..

The servers using the beta patch doesn't have global chats anymore, it ruins the game and a lot of annoying people use it to fuck with other people.

Well, making fake houses enterable is not up to the DayZ dev team AFAIK, that would be a suggestion for the Arma 2 dev team themselves. I agree with you, although after wasting a few days playing you're gonna recognize which building is enterable and which building is not, don't worry. And you're totally right about the places, it's not really worth looting small villages, you won't get as much stuff as you can get in the biggest towns. The introduction screen suggestion, I don't know.. I don't wanna be rude, but I don't think that looking around the DayZ forums/Google/whatever wouldn't kill you know? I started playing the game on my own a month ago (?), I didn't knew what to do, I didn't knew the Arma 2 controls and I find everything out eventually, quite fast actually. Then pretty much all my friends started playing and everything just got a lot easier. I guess new players just need to play some tutorials before playing, make a small research about the mod and stuff. (Sorry if I sounded a bit rude, didn't mean to :P)

Are you downloading anything whilst playing? Perhaps your anti-virus is running and you didn't realize.. have you tried restarting your computer?

I think we have a huge misunderstanding here, well. I think you interpreted me wrong, since there was no 'rudeness' what-so-ever on the post I made, I was just trying to tell you to deal with the so called 'CoD kiddies/puppies/whatever'. This and.. when you hover the selection thing over a server you can see the "Difficulty", when it says Veteran it has crosshairs/nametags and all that bull-crap disable, but some of them still have 3rd person view disabled. Guess you just need to put those keywords on the host post when looking for a server "3POV: OFF" try that.

Well, I'm just gonna write a simple THEORY down here, I am not even sure if that's the issue or not, that's just something that came across my mind. I think that's a problem the server host is having, he probably messed up with one of the required files. Does that happen on every server you try to get one? Quick question...

Can you still play though? Sometimes I get those weird errors but it doesn't affect my gameplay at all.

I have found a shitload of useful stuff now, such as vehicles and rare gear. Guess I only need the thermal gun I've been looking for ages.

After making a small research about your problems, I've seen people that simply deleted the files listed and the game worked perfectly fine, not changes what-so-ever. Although, if you delete them and realize that your textures or something in your game has been affected just re-install your game and you should be good anyways.

You can either get a ghillie suit or a camo clothing. Although as a girl you cannot wear any of those, you'll just be stuck with the civilian skin/outfit. I've been using the ghillie suit for a while now and it works perfectly fine, although there might be a SMALL chance that you're gonna bug, I can tell about the camo clothing because I don't really use it, but I have friends who have been using it for a while and never had any kind of problems. They're not that easy to be found, although you just need to look carefully I guess.

Well, now that we have a leaderboard I think people just kill to try to get on it. Although most of the bandits just kill for the fun of it or because they like to see other people raging. CoD players? I don't know about that, they're playing the game, yeah.. in the wrong way? Possibly, although I'm pretty sure they have already tried to change that, but seems like it's not gonna happen, guess you'll just need to deal with it or stay away from the most populated places.
