Use the little eye and ear icon on your right. They're really helpful, also, use your SHIFT when sneaking past zombies, keep your eyes open at all times.

I'd say AK-74 since the effective range is longer than the AKS-74u's. That's the only difference.

Sometimes if you're in a uninhabited town/place the loot is not spawned, you gotta stay there for a while and it's gonna spawn eventually.

DayZ makes you not trust ANYONE. Well, if you don't know him and you have enough gear to take them out, do it. Unless he's your friend, or he actually wants someone to group up with, you know. Some people just kill for fun, they kill everyone because they can get killed anytime, turning off TK would ruin the game's concept, totally.

You can either run up to a hill and run sideways and then sprint down the hill, they will fall off and brake their legs or you can run in a house, wait for a bit and then sneaky out of it, run away from the house and the zombies will eventually stay behind.

1- Tents placement are indeed buggy, if you really wanna place a tent somewhere just run around with your gear open spamming the 'place tent' button (right click and keep spamming it). And no, they don't disappear after server restarts and they stay only on the server you place them. 2- Well, stash them somewhere safe, in the woods, preferably in a place where you know how to get to. They're not really rare, you just need to go to their spawns, and depends on the servers, some old servers people already took and the vehicles for themselves, which means they're hidden somewhere. Use this map for vehicle spawns. 3- This system is kinda buggy, I think they're supposed to stay there for 15 minutes, but sometimes someone found it first and hid it or they just sank after a while. In case you have a friend guarding your body, tell him to get your stuff and drop on the ground, it's a lot safer. 4- They change after server restarts I think. Well, not sure how long does it take for them to respawn, but if your remove the loot of it's spawn and put them far away from it (I.E.: there's a bunch of tin cans on the ground, you take them and drop them somewhere else, like 10m away from it's original spawn) it's gonna respawn faster I think, that's what I usually do. 5- You can use the DayZ loot sheet to see where they usually spawn, to be honest I always find them all over the map, in Grocery stores, Houses (mainly houses), etc.. I'd recommend using the loot sheet. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask them, I'll gladly help you out buddy! :D

I have problems with it aswell, what I usually do is: I run around spamming the 'place tent' button, since it doesn't bug anymore and spawns you a hundred tents, it should be fine. They are kinda buggy still, you just need to be patient I guess.

It is possible to unpitch tents, but only the person who pitched them can unpitch them. Therefore you can't pick other players' tents, unfortunately.

You gotta look at specific places where guns usually spawns. I can tell you a few, but you can also find them on the loot sheet. - Fire stations - Churches - Pubs - Barns - Barracks (NWAF is currently the only place that has them) - Helicopter crash sites - Military tents There's a few more, those are the most common places.

Obviously a hacker spawned it.

vehicles are really buggy for now, i dont even like to drive over objects, trash on the ground, not even bridges (they are buggy as hell).

There should be a confirmation option for respawn, I've accidently clicked on respawn a few times aswell and it really sucks.

Try using Arma 2 launcher? I don't really know what to do in your case :S Well, if you don't mind, you can use the free version of Arma 2 on Steam and it should work perfectly fine, the textures won't be as good as the full version, but still..

Open fields, that's where they usually spawn at. There's not exact specific spots, they spawn randomly around the map.

A motorcycle, meh.. that's probably why. I heard the Eural can take down trees without taking any damage.. the UAZ is a.. hmm 'tough' vehicle I'd say, since it's a military-type of vehicle I think. But yeah, I have motorcycles, the last one I had - I was traveling from Berezino to Cherno and I had to change the tires about five times, they kept popping out every 10 minutes and then I found an ATV and got ride of the bike. ATVs are definitely the best on DayZ, although they're kinda buggy so you have to be careful when riding one.

First of all, you need to get a decent gear atleast, I'd recommend trying to kill someone with NVG or trying to get them yourselves, it's really fun hunting at night when you have NVGs. Well, after that, go to the more populated places such as: Berezino, Zelenogorsk, Cherno, Elektro, Balota airstrip, NEAF and NWAF, etc.. and keep your eyes open, be sneaky, you gotta think that you're on your own and anyone can take you out at any moment. Just be careful, you gotta be smart when playing as a bandit, and patient.

When you run you don't get a steady aim. That's probably why your aim is not steady. Check your controls and see what button are you using for the option 'hold breath' or something like that.

Try waiting it out, I get that sometimes, it's probably your internet connection (PROBABLY). It might take a while, just wait it out a bit.

I don't know if you can run a non-steam game along with a steam game or a steam game off steam, anyways.. have you tried using Arma II Launcher? Have you followed all the instructions? Such as: changing destination, so you can run DayZ and CO. I wouldn't recommend following the instructions for the Steam version, try running the game off steam. I have two steam accounts, one had OA and the other one Arma 2 and I couldn't run both, so you might have to 'implement' the Arma 2 into your steam account. Get the serial-key, go on Steam, click on 'Games' on the toolbar and then 'Activate a product on Steam'. Let me know if it works.
