When you're climbing ladders try to aim away from the edge of the building because sometimes your character suddenly becomes suicidal and runs forward

The only thing that has happened to me because I have changed my name was that my keybinds were reset to default (had to re-bind the finger)

This happens sometimes, I reckon the best solution is just to wait a minute or two after disconnecting to wait for the server to save your character data.

That happened to me once too, didn't have a compass and I kept running north and ended up at Debug Hills :( Although I ran back down for a while and managed to find the airfield

If you are willing to murder someone, kill people for their loot. Stalk the person and try to catch them while they are looting something and hit them on the back of their heads with any weapon (fists are fine too as a few consecutive punches to the head will knock the player out)
