How about having a few small camps of NPC bandits in the wilderness which shoot both players and any zeds which approach and activly defend there 'turf' The AI programming should already be in Arma2 so shouldnt need much work to import it into dayz. Would make for a much higher risk but high reward as the bandits will all have weapons to loot and maybe there camps will have some nice drops.. but thats if they dont see and kill you first ;) Maybe even have the AI bandits programmed to randomly do raids on local towns too.. so if you had someone keeping an eye on the camp with binoculars you can time your attack when the teddybears are all out for a picnic. ANd if your in the local town... goodluck :P

This is just a topic about my own opinions on the latest hotfix's. What i feel is wrong, what i feel is right and id like to hear everyone elses opinions too. I would like to see people respecting my opinion as much as i respect theres. Hokey so when i read the 1.7.1 and its hotfix patch notes i got super excited about all of them. Buffed zombies - I was on a character that was 17 days alive and i was well kitted out, so zombies wernt a problem at all. More if an inconvenience. Playing with the patch for a while i was even more excited. Finally zombies posed a real threat, i nearly died a few times just scavenging for food. Medical supplies started to dwindle and so did my health so i realised i had to change up my tactics and only play with my friends because solo was a real struggle. Even with an m16 acog or M4SD. No weapon on Spawn - This one made me laugh alot.. in some ways i really wanted to die to test it out and have some fun. Hell i LOVE the pvp in this game, i kill everyone on sight who isnt from my clan but lets face it no one wants to get spawn killed, especially by someone else whos just spawned aswell. My cockiness grew and death came swiftly, finally i get a chance to test it. Since then ive died about 10 times and cant find a single weapon :( I zombie trained my way into elektro and just when i thought i managed to loose the zombie train id get spotted by another zed. However after running through 3 buildings, the train station, the pud, the office block, the super market and a fire station, i didnt spot a single weapon.. just a whole lotta tin cans.. was very tempted to start picking them up and throwing them at the zeds. Conclusion - Altho i realy love both of these features, im not sure its possible to have both at once without making the game so very very hard. For anyone who thinks im wrong i challenge you to try it, and then put yourself back to when you first started playing the game and u didnt know anything about the zombie AI works, where to find weapons, what weapons are good or bad etc.. Its very hard even for someone who knows how to play the game. My own Ideas - Something i would like to see would be to keep the zombies as they are for the northern half of the map.. but for the southern half.. have many many many MANY more zombies.. but only alow them to walk, Resident Evil style. So you end up with huge zombie hordes which no one person could possibly carry the ammo to slay leaving the only option being to evade them. Keep the no weapon at spawn and all the other zombie AI like being able to loose them and have them search for you. Another thing i would love to see is a custom map just for DayZ. I know this would be far too much work for rocket alone but possibly a fan community project? A mostly urban map with city streets, shopping malls, suburban areas, sewers, multi story car parks etc.. all the lovely's a concrete jungle provides. No 'safe' forests to hide from zombies :D So what does everyone else think about they newest update and if you agree it has a few problems, what is your solotion? Lets assume a rollback / revert is out of the question and we can only move forwards :)

dito.. after a very hairy fight with some zeds i have 530 blood left so i shot a cow and ate that sucker.. stayed on for another hour or 2 with friends before logging off... logged in thismorning exactly where i logged off but with 530 blood again.. :( and the cow was still gone..? Poor cows death was for nothing. -
good idea IMHO. Its a bit of a pain to give other people things like painkillers, morphine and epi-pens now.. ive wasted lots of medical supplies trying to use it on sumone else but i end up using it on myself.

-1 very sadistic RP idea imho If it were me being handcuffed i wouldnt really care.. you have all my loot so im prity muc dead already. Even if i manage to escape (which seems like way too much hassle) i got nothing to kill Zeds with if i aggro one. I would just respawn or logout. Keeping my 'stats' isnt that important to be honest but keeping that AK-74 kobra is very important. No kobra, no m1911.. i might aswell just restart :) -
Okey so.. LOVING the game.. but i kinda feel it needs a little more boom no? After all frag grenades arnt as common as tin cans, so i was thinking.. wouldnt it be cool to scavange and make use of all that useless stuff to 'make' weapons? But purposely require low drop survival items to make such as matches or toolboxs for the 'better' ones? e.g. empty whisky bottle + fillup from petrol station + flare = molatov cocktail? empty can (shell) + + toolbox + matches or flare = pipebomb? Just 2 ideas. Im sure you guys can think of many more improvised ways to frag them zombies.. or even your friends accidently hehe.

One of my 'friends' tried to use a frag grenade on a ton of zombies that horded us... what he ended up doing was bouncing it off the door frame and killing all 6 of us. It was hilariously funny. :D explosives = more comedy. They shouldnt be super common. Maybe require 1 or 2 rare items and some super common items but having to gather up all those items in your limited inventory for 1 or 2 molatovs or pipe bombs to be saved for that moment when you really need it. Like i always carry 1 or 2 smokes on me 'just in case' but i never manage to use them before i die lol. and flares > rags.. you need matchs to light a rag but they both prity much do the same job. If i was living in DayZ land id just put the lid back on the bottle and ducktape a flare to the sideof the bottle.. it will still smash and the petrol will still go everywhere and light on the flare.
