LMAO :lol: This was funny. Don't worry your not the only one dealing with KOS players. They are Everywhere. I generally meet friendlies accidently like when we run into each other in a building etc. Sometimes there's panic & a few shots & then we have to get a blood bag, stuff like that. I'm a Lonewolf though so if there's no reason to hang out then I'll say g'day & leave depending on what loot is around.

There's a "red car"!? :blush: I'm a Lonewolf and when I started playing this game last August? I made a point of only learning about the game from playing the game. I've never seen a map unless I've found one in game, I only just learn't that G17 ammo can be used in a mp5 (is that right? lmao), I still get excited when I find a compass, have only ever had one GPS & I have never driven a vehicle :rolleyes: I've made the mistake in the past with "conquering" games too quickly and burning out. I'm still playing DayZ with the same enthusiasm & fear I started with in my first week of play ;)

Fantastic work. This set should be released with a DAYZ special surviver edition! I would buy it..... better yet give me a pre-order :)

I avoid all player contact due to the KOS attitude of most players. I have met 2 who were not hostile since August? & one nice hacker who gave me a magic box of weapons (No I didn't use any & I don't count hackers as players). I actually just found this thread after a 20 minute stint in Namalsk during the night. I was looting supplies with zombies raging all about coz of some dufus shooting at them when I get shot in the back, at close range... in the dark. Cheers mate your a Legend :( It's the usual thing being shot in the back by some scumbag. Yeah the map wasn't big enough for the three of us woz it! So I have no desire to chat, trade, help or kill another player. Although the temptation to go on a murder spree seems strong at times (like now).

I hadn't played since October? due to my account/character being infected by some hacker BS. Tried to fix it and during a test run I came across a hacker in Stary Sobor who after a teleport chase & two clips from my M4 which did nothing to him..... He dropped a box of every item & weapon at my feet and disappeared! So I downloaded the Taviana map and my account/character is ok :) I love this map even if it is a little glitchy in spots. If you haven't tried em yet I'd highly recommend you giving the extra maps a go. I'm in awe of being able to download these games for free and the amount of playing time they give you :)

This looks fantastic I can't wait for the release! After reading Rocket mention "The road" I'm even more excited about the direction of this game. Keeping the game in an authentic looking Russia is a must! It screams survival. My Dayz wish is that the zombies are more dangerous, brutal and in larger numbers particulary in city areas. While still enabling solo play & bandits, encourage players to form alliances more (safety in numbers) instead of the constant single player kill on sight mentality that plagues the mod. Great job Rocket and Team you've won over one more PS3 player.

I had a very similar issue after raiding some tents & then could not climb down from a nearby deer stand. Now I get a black screen and the message "character data recieved from server". I have to click on a water canteen to drink or refill to get the game picture but I don't have sound. Zombies only spawn when other players are around. Other players can see and kill me and I can kill them. If I die I then respawn from my last log on point & I still have all my gear (Ghillie, M4A1 CCO SD, water canteens, steaks & tool belt items, etc). Which isn't bad lol. I put it down to a hacker. I've tried searching for an answer and reinstalling files etc but had no luck. Well it was a good ride DayZ mod, I'll see you guys in the Stand alone for sure ;) Edit: I just re-read the OP and I'm pretty sure I picked up the camo soldiers uniform also..... maybe something there?

Yeh mate it's easy as. It will also tell ya what updates are out for DayZ, ARMA II & install em for you. Very clean, well set out interface makes it easy for anyone to use. I'm also new to PC jumping over from PS3 and stuffed around for 2 days before trying DayZ commander. Please post how you go mate so anyone else who has a problem will know if it works. Thanks.

Hi minionfett, I'm probably way off the mark as it was a while ago that I had the problem of getting into games when I first tried installing DayZ but seeing as there's no replies as yet I thought I'd post. I can't remember what the error code was now that I kept getting when I first installed & tried to join DayZ servers unsuccessfully. I also did something with moving files and crap into other files and it was a fail. I'm not sure if you have it but I downloaded then installed "DayZ commander" and I've had no problems ever since :D I hope this helps.

I'm all for rare dangerous encounters with Wolf packs & wandering Bears. I'm sure these would scare the shit of any forest wandering surviver. There's just not enough "fear" in the woods. Slenderman? I'm not keen on as a Dayz feature. I too wouldn't like to see fairytale stuff here.
