Why don't more players play like this?

Holy shit, IamJayJayy, I swear I saw him on a UK server not so long ago, Someone with a name like that you assume a bandit, well, for me anyways, maybe im a poor sense of character, but since he did that, I too grow tired of trying to be friendly and get shot in the back, If I ever see him again or he's down the end of my scope, I'll think twice about shooting and i'll tell him that I .. I guess heard of his deeds lol
  3. The first post was back in August, but I just hope its still alive, Im in the same boat as the Original Poster, I love playing Day Z but on my own it gets a little lonely, I play with 2 other players but they aren't on as frequent as me, Im a UK player, I can play most days from early hours of 1pm UK time to the extent of 2am my time, thats about 8pm/9pm in the US, I think, I am not entirely sure bit I'd love to come play with you guys, oh also forgot to say, I am strictly fun dude, I wont come on if you ask me to raid a bandit camp at 0800 hours and I honestly cant bring much to the team, I am a looter but the moment the bullets fly, don't rely on me, I'm a bad shot, but I carry medical supplies and help people out, so I guess thats my role, xD Hm, maybe me explaining it is why I never get invited to stuff, xD well my Day Z In-game name is Alex but I do have skype and if you type in Skype name " conconconz " thats me also, I hope to hear from you guys.

    A Start To Bandit Hunting.

Mr Reaper I understand where your coming from, however I usually take a different approach and by approach I mean going no where near them, I tend to avoid every other player I meet in Day Z UNLESS they are with me E.g Friend or Associate but that said, I never reveal myself to other players and if anybody get too close, I press Caps lock and say if you take another step it'll be your last or some form of threat, I don't trust anybody anymore in Day Z purely because many a time I have said friendly and people have fired back on me, I consider myself a bandit hunter, people may call you what they want but at the end of the day, Your there to kill people who have clearly gone out of their way to to kill other people and donned the bandit status, I don't care what reason they have, I have been there as a newbie and been killed as a fresh spawn, it's pathetic and very aggravating, but enough of that lol, I'm going to write down some tips for Bandit hunting now guys, so just skip my ranting story lol, this part may be a bit more helpful. Remember this isn't 100% accurate this is just me and my experiences but I just hope someone will take me seriously Step 1: Scouting for Bandits, so depending on what town your in and unless your in a server with just yourself, never assume your safe, many times I have been in cherno, northWestAirField., electro basically every settlement and I swear I was safe, but no I wasnt, Bandits with Snipers tend to like been up high OR on the floor in a field next to the settlement your at, make sure you check the tree lines and high buildings before running, If your in the tree line yourself and you see zombies already in the town, that means theres another player inside, could be a bandit, could be a survivor, but always assume bandit, if you manage to bump into them and they have a gun and DONT shoot at you, then ok, you found yourself a keeper, keep your eye on them though, but if they do shoot, unless you feel confident about your skills, just run away, zig zag away, try get zombies to follow you through the streets, a zombie getting shot is allot better than a AK in your back. Step 2: Traps: Oh man, I have been killed so many times because I see a tent in the distance or strangely a tent in the middle of a road (don't be like me and think its abandoned) or even a crashed heli some bandits will actually place Tents in open spots or lurk in the tree line next to a crashed heli and just wait, they do, honest, so like the above section, just scout out first, Step 3: Bandit positions, I know that this step by step guide is a little, well, wrongly stepped but meh, like I said, its not 100% but I can only vouch for my own experiences and such, but Cherno, sniper spots I can tell you the grid refs (Marked with Bold, Italic and underline) of allot of sniper camps but I can just tell you, first off, Cherno: there is 2 huge towers right in the industrial area, one giant one with a huge ladder on the side that takes you up the levels, on the top floor there is actually a little tunnel you can walk through, I see bandits and dead bodies up there all the time and that's because bandits are stupid gits and think going up there is a nice spot, I guess it is, but your very high up and if someone such as myself a bandit hunter or even a bandit, may shoot up there, the only way back is down and that ladder is such a sitting duck range, Then next spot is another tower that is directly behind the tower I just mentioned, you have to walk up some stairs, then a ladder and then some more stairs and then another set of ladders but up there you are a little more compact and protected by the building, it over looks the main tower I mentioned before so you get a good view on that, so Bandits like to go up there, those 2 out of the way, just at the far back of the industrial area of cherno is a second hospital next to some apartment buildings, there is a huge hill there that "Grid Ref 062 x 125", be vary wary of Ghillies in that area, I snuck up on one with a hachet and well.. I swung at him broke his leg but he just went full auto on me and lit me up but yeah watch out for that, Electro: Ok so in Electro there is this huge hill "Grid ref 105 x 128" and people started calling it Sniper Hill, well yeah its true, there are usually snipers up there, also next to sniper hill is a fire station "Grid Ref 104 x 127" and also a Elementary School at "Grid Ref 104 x 130" and last one for me is the hospital next to the Elementary school "Grid Ref 105 x 130" North West Airfield: Well this one is well, kinda obvious, lots of people will go here because its one of the best places to get loot, having 2 barracks, a fire station, 3 potential heli crash sits and a helicopter spawn point, 6 hangers and a radio tower, this place is a bit risky for bandit hunting because usually unless you get there first, usually its you that gets hunted, just be wary of the Barracks at "Grid Ref 046 x 056" because thats usually where guns spawn and bandits + guns = bad, the Fire Station at the airfield has a nice tower view of most of the airstrip so be carefull of snipers, they may 3rd person view over walls so they are nice and snug so you dont even know they are there, even though you checked, again the other barracks near the fire station, guns + bandits etc, Balota South Airfield: allot smaller than the NWAF but the same rules apply Radio tower and hangers, a good spot to check out the airfield is actually on the complete other end of it, if you have Binocs or a Sniper yourself go to "Grid Ref 053 x 132" So yeah, check that out for bandits. Last one before I feel like I am dragging this on and kinda going off the Bandit hunting topic and just onto general survival but... Stary Sober: There isn't much in this town besides maybe 10+ tents, I can't really remember, if you're going to SS your're not really going there, you're really going to the tents, so I find the tree line just behind it at "Grid Ref 064 x 075" is a nice vantage point for bandit hunting. Just saying this to save my own skin here, again, just experience, not 100% accurate, some bandits may read this and say "aha I will get vantage points over the actual bandit points he mentioned" but again, just my experience, If you actually read this far then wow, thanks, if I get the TL:DR Bulls**t then yeah whatever go suck off a donkey but I just figured this forum post was a bit bland in the aspect of actually giving out tips on how to Bandit Hunt, so thanks for reading. Oh yeah one last thing, in my entire travels, I have killed about... Uhm, let me think, roughly 2 bandits, Thats right, 2, I'm a scouter and if I see any potential trouble, I double time straight out of there, The servers I usually play on are UK Servers, but if any fellow bandit hunters manage to find NVG's, DMR and a Ghillie, that a are willing to trade or go on a hunt then here are the servers. If my post is in the wrong category or it's infringing some sort of rule that I broke again im sorry, my only intention is to help, UK 22, UK 376, UA9, UK 105, UK 108 and UK 1542,
