    Howdy, just wondering if anyone that plays on the AU severs specifically the BB Vanilla ones was in the midst of looking for a somewhat hero orientated group. No real requirements aside from maybe a microphone  Tend to vary between Skype and TS but prefer TS though so having either/both will make it easier.
    Any takers?

    Easy, I sit back and read silly comments like this every week, take this out, put that in, yet half of you havent played the game/Mod, and those who have played have played for a few hours. Some of you are all waiting for the SA and havent got a clue what you are on about. Then theres the other few who are here from Warzzzzzzz hiding out because your beloved game sucks cock. Let's not forget those who died in game because of a feature and then come on here to moan like schoolgirls (Which is what OP sounds like)

    Play for a while longer and you'll see it dosen't really matter nor does it offer any real advantage a experienced player can not play around (I consider it a challenge to play people, them in 3DP and me 1st person view)

    There was a reason for 3rdPV in the game, do some research and find it (I cant remember rockets comments but it was, Hint, peripheral senses) You have to remember this is a game, let some elements be used wether they are "REAL" or not.

    Bottom of story, Leave it in, let players choose. Simples!

    I think Rocket chose to leave it in because it allows you have an almost 180 degree FOV similar to that in real life. Can't remember where he said it though think it was on reddit a while back. Also I find it humorous how people make such a big deal of it being an advantage when it isn't, sure it allows people to see over walls and around corners without exposing themselves but everyone has the same ability allowing everyone to use it. The simple fact is that if you don't like it play first person only or go onto a server with first person only. It seems that all that this thread is is people continuously whinging that it should be in or it shouldn't be in. The way they have it now caters to eveyone. Don't like 3rd person? Go to a first person server. Like 3rd person? Stay on the normal servers and for the love of god. Stop bitching

    I think it's just because Rocket put so much emphasis on getting it out by December that we figured it would be done, I'm pretty sure that's why everyone (Including me) is so hung up on it being out soon. No he never said 'Hey it's coming out in December' but I remember reading that they were shooting for a Christmas or December release. And even if he was putting his heart into the game (Like I'm sure he is), he should still give the community something or anything to keep us in the loop. It's just throwing a lot of us into the dark.

    Now now fellas, let's not forget the real reason we all want to see DayZ out this month. So we can watch it kick W**Z's ass. :]

    Don't get me wrong I am just as hyped for this game as anyone else and I hate having to wait in the dark but there are people on here that don't seem to acknowledge the fact that making a video game is not an easy task to accomplish and just outright whine because they didn't get things the way they wanted.

    There seems to be a horde of misinformed brick walls in this topic. Rocket NEVER said it will be done by December, NEVER. He did say that he hoped for a December release. This man has dedicate all year to making a game, he only returned home a week ago for the first time this year. He poured his heart and soul into the game to make it what it is. Without him and the dev team there wouldn't be a game at all. Be grateful, it will get you a long way

    And you're ungrateful and have a heart black as coal. Have you ever developed a game? No, you haven't it's no where near as easy as you think and Rocket didn't go back on his word he simply stated that he hoped for a december release

    DayZ Standalone has been confirmed.

    Facts:

    • The game will be released in an Alpha build for a low price point.
    • DayZ will be available on Steam.
    • Rocket is project lead for DayZ at Bohemia Interactive.
    • DayZ is set to follow the Minecraft pricing and development model.
    • There will be continued support for DayZMOD alongside DayZ game.
    • Running on "Arma 2.5" engine. Will include an updated Chernarus map.
    • DayZ Standalone will be released on Steam

    Release date: December 2012

    Price: Unknown

    Minimum Requirements: Unknown

    Unless you know something we don't (Or are not exactly allowed to know), I suggest changing the date for release to stop people from misunderstanding

    This may be the stupidest problem ever but I have seen on youtube and on friends screen that the text in DayZ when battleye intervenes is red mine is just plain grey. Like I said a small but annoying problem . Any help is appreciated

    you do realize when you place a satchel charge it gets logged.

    Then u pick it up and place it again and its logged, so just by going by those logs its not accurate...how can you not know that

    Also his spawn log that Vortech posted clearly shows he has 12 in his backpack

    And whether or not is his ban is right or wrong doesn't matter, you can submit him to the CBL or w/e you wish, but being on the public hive you CAN NOT ban him for this. It is clearly against the hosting rules, which none of you seem to understand or even care about.

    When you host on the public hive you agree to certain terms, and you must abide by them.

    It's close to the same as signing an NDA. you have to follow those rules. But ya'll just seem to think you can run it however you want and disregard those rules. As I see it, that's very unprofessional.

    If you want to ban people for whatever you see fit, go to a private hive.

    I don't mean any disrespect or anything as I've seen the proof you go through for other peoples ban's and it is extensive. Im just merely pointing out the fact that you're breaking rules and you seem to have no regard for the rules established by the dayz team

    You seem to not understand the fact that magically this guy obtained 26 Satchel Charges without a single one being taken from a tent or dead body. With the spawn rate of satchel charges it is almost impossible for someone to obtain that many satchel charges in an entire day yet somehow he had that many within 3 hours? Also the op has two threads in which the stories are continuously changing. This doesn't seem odd? People had complained about people teleporting around and killing people yet when the op and friends are kicked there is no suspicious activity on the server whatsoever. This doesn't seem just a little suspicious? Even the op mixes up the amount of satchels on several occasions.

    First 3 replys.. did you read my text ?! did you understand what i mean ? i dont think so..

    i know how the humanity thing works ! but for me there is a little failure in it.. if a hardcorebandit dies, he wil respawn as a survivorskin with positive humanity, and he is continouing killing people..

    as a survivor like me, it destroys the gameplay in a cerain way, because you can not trust on the bandit/survivor thing so you actually can't trust anybody

    would be a lot more fun to really see a beginner respawned guy who already is a banditskin because he was a bandit in the last life !

    Have you not listened to a word people have said? If you die as a bandit you WILL respawn as one due to humanity carrying over after death

    I've just downloaded and installed the new DayZ 1.7.3 patch and I can't join any servers. Everytime I connect it says I have the wrong ArmA version, I was able to play before the patch for DayZ but cannot now. I play through DayZ commander so I should be able to see what my ArmA is, apparently it is the latest but servers are running a much higher version than I am. I have a feeling this is a fault with DayZ commander but just wanted to see if anyone could help

    Personally I have overwatch if I'm going to approach someone, I'll take a relatively hostile approach by saying something along the lines of "You make a wrong move and your head is going to be 3 feet to your left" although at one point a guy I was with saw someone head towards us and tried to get him to head in a different direction, so he ran up screaming "Drop your gun bitch" sadly though this approach usually ends in a alt+f4. Not sure why though!!

    Am i the only one?

    It's difficult to even find a full public hive server now-a-dayz. I always though the server-hopping persistance system was one of the unique features of DayZ, and i feel that private hives destroy that part of the game.

    Most people seem to think differently, and play private. That, or they play private on a different map.

    I miss the glory dayz.

    What servers you playing on? I always find at least 3 full servers (60 person) on public. Although they are Aussie servers and there're not many private aussie

    Knife its great your such great friends with Rocket but i clearly said he was kicked by BE as soon as he picked up the guns and when he returned he told everyone BE kicked him for the weapon...all iv'e said is why would you risk your account for a hacked in weapon, if your so confindent that its wont get you kicked or banned then you trade something for the gun and go play with it then come back and tell us how its all good.

    Right oh done and dusted, THAT IS A PRIVATE HIVE. You can get kicked/banned for things there which you cannot on public hives
