I feel bad whenever I run into someone on accident and I instinctively open fire. Especially if they're unarmed. I even feel a twinge of remorse when I have to drop a bandit. I'm just not a killer. -
I actually kind of like the idea of this. Next time I respawn close to Elektro or Cherno I'll give this a shot. It'd be interesting to see how long I can survive scavenging the scraps from everyone else.

metagaming=/=cheating I have no problem with a private server banning metagaming, but it's one of those things you have to learn to live with and no amount of bickering and no number of thread will ever change. I play alone, and if I get killed by a group I know is working together on TS I don't get angry. I treat it like every other death. I respawn and start again. Also, what's the point in playing a game if you get so upset about something that can't be changed? Just sit back and enjoy the game. -

I don't know how I was able to look at my character before buying BAF+PMC. They're so good. -
You have to manually move items around. Backpacks can be extremely confusing. I've been playing almost a year and I still lose items to them occasionally.

He was just poking fun at the fact you used 'loose' instead of 'lose' I really think the humanity system should be removed all together in order to keep people from being good just for the skin. I think if someone wants to act heroic they should do it purely for the fact that they want to be kind. You shouldn't be rewarded for the choices you make. Also, I think you'll keep the hero skin until you die. Then you'll respawn as a survivor.

How do you fight players in CQC?

I usually serpentine to some cover, throw a few rounds their way, retreat to an easily defended building, and wait. If they come hunting for me I'll kill them, and if they leave the area, all the better. I leave the area without any blood on my hands. -
Am I the only one wondering why there's a bench there?

It's widely considered a 'dick-move' but the beauty of DayZ is that there's nothing stopping you from spawnkilling all day long.

Why do you shoot unarmed players?

I try not to kill unarmed players (or any player if I can), but I've killed a few unarmed people. The scenario usually plays out like this: I round a corner, run into another player, pull the trigger instinctively, pull the trigger again, and again, and then I feel really bad and apologize. -
Heroes - how do you approach them?

I treat them just like everyone else. If I see one, I go hide in a bush until they're gone. -

My noun of choice is fresh-spawn. It's a nice and neutral. No pesky negative connotations to worry about.

I'd support it only if I could play a killer solo and then go all Peter Townshend and smash a bandit in the head with it.

I've spent 100s of hours in game and I have never seen a CZ 550. I think I've seen every other weapon, but not that one. It's my white whale I guess.

A controller does work well for flying. Not as well as a joystick I'd imagine, but better than mouse and keyboard. Besides that it seems like it'd be too much work setting up a controller to work with ARMA. There's just too many bindings.

New Server with very unique features (Car stripping, siphoning, towing, etc)

I saw 'stripping' in the title, got excited, then saw 'car' before it, and got really disappointed :| A word of warning: a lot of people will steer clear of a server with donation perks regardless of how good the server is. -
If this catches on I suggest you look into Etsy. I'm not terribly familiar with how it works, but it seems suited to what you're doing.

The sights aren't identical though. It really comes down purely to personal preference.

If you go under the settings in DayZ Commander you can choose to make DayZ launch through Steam. I launch that way. The convenience of Commander plus screenshots and playtime log of Steam.

Sometimes when I'm feeling down I'll browse this thread for a few minutes. It always brightens my day. EDIT: ^That is the exception. That image will haunt my nightmares for all of eternity.
