Branding detractors as "casuals" does not hide the fact that you have your fingers in your ears and ignoring the big white placards that are infront of you, bit of a story here, I was once upon a time a big medal of honor fan, a ww2 fps shooter franchise, when EA decided to take it into the modern warefare era the long time fans knew it was going to fall on it's arse, but those !fanboys" would not listen, and would hear none of it, the forum spokeman promised "communication" ergo pretending they actually listen to their fanbase, i and those among us knew it was bullshit, when medal of honor 2010 came out and it bombed the forums exploded like mass dissintary, but when EA mentioned they were working on medal of honor warfighter, it was back to square one. the fanboys forgot about the last piece of shit game and they wiped their memories, until warfighter came out and the hate was so bad that EA deleted a third of the forums relating to medal; of honor. they can delete threads but not our memories, and i see the same thing here. sorry excuse me for been a bit sceptical.

Everyone else who lives in reality apart from this lot of deluded fanboys and apologists, apart from you and me know the truth, but they still trot out the old "it's still alpha" card that was worn out last christmas, deep down they know it's doomed but can't face reality that their beloved game and rocket are not going to deliver the virtual utopia they so crave, below are my top 5 dayz faboys stock apologies 1. I bet no one here is mentioning the obvious, IE we are getting bored of playing the same map, fanboy says, "but it's only an alpha" "you can enter every building now" 1: It will still be an alpha in 3 years, let alone any new maps, and all the time in development they didn't get round to sorting the mess that is the key bindings 2000 of them for every single action. the fan boys are so desperate for this to work they will no mention it's obvious floors. personally i think it's stinks of crap i have only played it twice and i wasn't impressed. the mod has more choice in regard to maps, and is better to play. just glad i didn't buy at full price.

Only the cherno map? that map sucks, all the vehicles are in the north, idc if you can enter all the buildings now, i stopped playing it because it's empty, Taviana would wipe thew floor with it. and to add insult to injury you are charging for an alpha, do those who bought it get a discount on the finished product? {i doubt it} your sycophant fan boys will lap anything up, sorry but i'm staying with the mod, what a disappointment this is.

I see members posting 2 pages long details on here of things people would like to see. rocket is too busy and will probably never read, how about you guys let him get on fixing the basics that plague the mod. iron out all the glitches, and simplifie the key binding system, there's way too many bindings. i have this horrible feeling that the standalone is gonna dissapoint a lot of you. i saw this type of thing on the EA forums during the last 2 medal of honor games, blind fan boys were getting hyped, and jumping on the naysayers. and guess what? we were right in the end. so much rage went to the ea forums that they deleted it's entire section.

So can he play the day z mod now without having to buy combines ops?

Can anyone help me out with my error, i'm trying to join my LAN dayz server, which gave me error creating direct 3d 9 engine, so i had to install dayzbeta.cmd, which now launches the game i windowed mode, but every time i try to join i get, "you can not play/edit this mission, dependable on content that has been deleted, tavi, kh_dayztaviana, I'm not using the steam it's a version since my cd key was stolen, i got my OA from gamers gate.

Try cntrl alt delete, and terminate in task manager, then rejoin i've found out that it works ok at first, then the next time it will do it again. any permanent fix would be nice.

If it ain't here by the tail end of april, i'll consider it dead.
